技术领域
本发明涉及一种气体阻隔性和滑动性优异的墨液供给管。
背景技术
对于需要高气体阻隔性的材料,例如已知有利用对金属进行蒸镀等而形成的金属薄膜来防止气体透过等的层叠体(专利文献1)。然而,当对滑动部所使用的管的气体阻隔层使用利用了金属薄膜的层叠体时,会产生以下这样的问题:在滑动时金属膜产生龟裂,气体阻隔性降低;管内部的视觉确认性丧失。为了保持管的视觉确认性,管全部由树脂构成是有效的,在管由树脂构成的情况下,在气体阻隔层大多使用乙烯/乙烯醇共聚物(EVOH)。
EVOH是树脂中具有最高气体阻隔性的树脂,但非常硬,在使用于反复滑动的部分所使用的管等的气体阻隔层的情况下,存在容易产生开裂这样的问题。当EVOH产生开裂时,气体从该部分透过,阻隔性能显著降低。因此,为了提高EVOH的柔软性,尝试了加入添加剂等方法,但阻隔性因加入添加剂而降低(专利文献2)。

本发明人发现了以气体阻隔层为中心的直径100μm的圆区域内的氧浓度为2~9atm%的层叠管具有优异的气体阻隔性和滑动性,从而完成了本发明。
即,本发明如下。
[1]一种墨液供给管,其特征在于,是具备气体阻隔性的墨液供给管,该管包括与墨液相接的内层、中间层以及外层,在此,该中间层是利用乙烯/乙烯醇共聚树脂成型的气体阻隔层,而且,以气体阻隔层为中心的直径100μm的圆区域内的氧浓度为2~9atm%。
[2]根据上述[1]所述的墨液供给管,其中,构成气体阻隔层的乙烯/乙烯醇共聚树脂的乙烯组成率为25~45mol%。
[3]根据上述[1]或[2]所述的墨液供给管,其中,径向截面的氧浓度的偏差为25%以下。

发明效果
根据本发明,能提供一种具有高气体阻隔性,并且滑动时的耐应力开裂优异,即使使其滑动也不易引起气体阻隔性的降低的管。
具体实施方式
以下,对本发明的具体实施方式进行详细说明。以下的实施方式是用于说明本发明的示例,不是将本发明限定于以下的内容的意思。本发明可以在其主旨的范围内进行适当变形来实施。
本发明的墨液供给管是在厚度方向上由多层构成的中空管,该多层从外侧起包括外层、中间层以及内层。为了成型本发明的管,可以通过以下方法进行:将单层或多层的管成型并卷取,使该管通过挤出机的模具(模头),在管上层叠从模具挤出的树脂。而且,为了使层间更牢固地粘接,可以通过以下方法(共挤出)进行成型:根据层的数量等使用多台挤出机,同时对各层进行熔融挤出并使其在模头内或模头附近层叠。为了防止使管滑动时的EVOH层的开裂,提高作为气体阻隔层的EVOH层与内层、外层的粘接强度,抑制EVOH层的剥离是有效的,因此,为了成型本发明的管,优选共挤出。在通过共挤出进行成型时,在使被内层和外层夹着的作为中间层的气体阻隔层与其他层相比为薄壁的情况下,较大地受到内层和外层的树脂压的影响,高精度地将中间层自身的树脂压和排出控制为固定是困难的。对于以往的管而言,存在以下这样的问题:在使中间层为薄壁时,树脂在模具内无法均匀地流动,在与管的长尺寸方向垂直的截面中,中间层的壁厚的一处或多处产生薄的部分。同样地,由于中间层的排出不稳定的原因,壁厚在长尺寸方向也不均匀。可以想到该中间层的壁厚不均匀成为诱发使管滑动时的EVOH层的开裂的原因之一。对于本发明的管而言,为了抑制中间层的壁厚的不均匀,为了使挤出成型时的中间层的树脂压与内层和外层的树脂压相等,将在料筒内部熔融后的树脂利用螺杆送出,在模具紧前使熔融树脂的一部分进行分流(bypass)而去除,由此使中间层的树脂压稳定地进行成型。此外,在接近模具出口的位置,通过利用了超声波的传感器对成型出的管的中间层的壁厚进行测定,一边向挤出机反馈并在线调整中间层的壁厚一边进行成型。由此,能得到中间层的壁厚均匀的管。需要说明的是,在成型后,为了去除管的各层的残余应变,可以在构成管的树脂中最低的熔点以下的温度下进行退火处理。
〔外层〕
在本发明中,将配置于作为气体阻隔层的EVOH层的外侧的层设为外层。外层可以是相对于中间层具有优异的热粘接性,并且作为对整个管赋予挠性的保护层的树脂,例如,聚烯烃系树脂、聚酰胺系树脂、聚乙烯系树脂、聚氨酯系树脂等。为了提高管的柔软性,优选为弹性体。作为聚烯烃系树脂,可以使用与后述的乙烯/乙烯醇共聚树脂(EVOH)具有粘接性的酸改性聚烯烃系树脂。例如,可以使用乙烯、丙烯等烯烃与其他单体的共聚物(无规共聚物、嵌段共聚物、接枝共聚物等)或以烯烃为主要成分的聚合物合金。更具体而言,作为外层,可以使用市售的MODIC F534A(三菱化学公司制)。需要说明的是,外层的壁厚可以根据管尺寸和整体的壁厚来适当确定,例如为0.1~2.0mm,更优选为0.2~1.6mm。
〔中间层〕
在本发明中,如上所述,中间层是指气体阻隔层。典型的是,利用树脂中具有最高氧阻隔性的乙烯/乙烯醇共聚树脂(EVOH)成型。就“气体阻隔层”而言,在本说明书中使用时,是指抑制例如空气中的氧气、氮气、二氧化碳、水蒸气这样的对墨液的品质造成影响的气体从基材外侧透过的层。根据本发明,在以氧透过度为尺度的情况下,例如,可以使用温度20℃、相对湿度65%下的氧透过度为0.01~4.0cc/(m2×day×atm)的层作为气体阻隔层。氧透过度通过使用电量分析传感器对透过膜的氧的透过速度进行测定来求出,通过ISO14663-2:1999(Annex C)所规定的方法来进行测定。在此,测定的膜优选利用与气体阻隔层相同的厚度的膜来进行测定,但也可以通过计算而换算为与气体阻隔层相同的厚度来求出。此外,氧透过度的[atm]是20℃的相对湿度0%的环境下的压力。具有这样的气体阻隔层的本发明的管能使在35℃、相对湿度80%的环境中放置500小时后,在室温下测定出的封入管内的脱气水的溶解氧量为7.0mg/L以下。
上述的EVOH在分子内具有许多羟基,因此,由于羟基彼此的氢键合而分子内的自由体积的大小较小,氧分子不易透过。然而,由于该氢键合而没有柔软性,在使用于滑动部分的情况下容易产生开裂。此外,水分子吸附于EVOH的羟基,该水分子形成簇并吸附,分子内的自由体积的大小成为氧分子的大小以上,会使氧透过。需要说明的是,在本发明中,只要是具有上述的特性的EVOH就没有限定,可以使用市售的EVOH DC3212、E3808、A4412(日本合成化学工业公司制,商品名“SOARNOL(商标)”)、F171B、H171B、E105B(可乐丽公司制,商品名“EVAL(商标)”)等。
在本发明中使用EVOH作为气体阻隔层的情况下,乙烯组成率越高,树脂的柔软性越高,气体阻隔性越低。相反,乙烯组成率越低,气体阻隔性越高,树脂的柔软性越小。在本发明中,乙烯组成率优选小于45mol%。例如,作为该乙烯组成率,可列举出25~45mol%。此外,当使EVOH层变薄时,能使滑动时施加于EVOH树脂的应力变小,为了提高耐开裂性,使EVOH层变薄是有效的。相反,可以想到为了维持气体阻隔性需要一定以上的EVOH层的厚度,所需的厚度根据乙烯组成比而不同。被认为造成这全部的影响的是羟基。适合于兼顾气体阻隔性和滑动时的耐开裂性的范围窄,为了确定该范围,可以代替羟基而将氧的浓度作为指标来确定。氧浓度没有限定,可以将以EVOH层为中心的直径100μm的圆作为观察视野,例如使用能量色散型X射线分析(EDX)来测定。在本发明中,上述的观察视野中的氧浓度优选为2~9atm%,更优选为4~9atm%。与EVOH层一起包含于观察视野的内层和外层具有比EVOH层低的氧浓度。该氧浓度被表示为使用EDX测定出F、C、O以及Cl这四种元素中的元素比。
而且,通过使用上述的EDX,能测定管的径向截面和长尺寸方向截面的氧浓度的偏差。在本发明中,径向截面的氧浓度的偏差优选为25%以下。另一方面,长尺寸方向截面的氧浓度的偏差优选为10%以下。在这些氧浓度的数值以下,能赋予优异的耐开裂性。需要说明的是,中间层的壁厚可以根据整个管的壁厚来适当确定,例如为0.01~0.1mm,更优选为0.02~0.10mm。进一步优选为0.02~0.05mm。或者,与整个管的壁厚相比,中间层、例如气体阻隔性的壁厚为1%~25%,更优选为3%~15%。
〔内层〕
在本发明中,将配置于作为气体阻隔层的EVOH层的内侧的层设为内层。期望内层与中间层同样地具有高气体阻隔性,而且,由于内层与墨液相接,因此优选对各种溶剂具有耐性。作为具有这样的特性的材质,可列举出氟树脂,特别优选使用作为阻隔性高的改性全氟烷氧基系树脂的四氟乙烯-全氟(烷基乙烯基醚)-三氟氯乙烯共聚物(CPT)。通过将CPT配置为内层,中间层的EVOH不会暴露在水分中,因此非常有效。需要说明的是,在本发明中,只要是具有上述的特性的CPT就没有限定,可以使用市售的NEOFLON CPT LP-1000(大金工业公司制)等。需要说明的是,内层的壁厚可以根据整个管的壁厚来适当确定,例如为0.05~0.5mm,优选为0.05~0.3mm。
如上所述,本发明的层叠管的特征在于,不仅具有高气体阻隔性,而且耐开裂性也优异,如后述的实施例所示,可知:直至确认到开裂的产生为止的滑动次数足足超过800万次。
通过以下的实施例对本发明进一步进行具体说明,本发明不受这些实施例任何限定。
实施例
如表1所示,制作出由内层、中间层(气体阻隔层)以及外层构成的各种层叠管。对于各个管,测定氧浓度,进行氧透过试验和滑动试验。
(1)各种层叠管的成型
使用田边塑料公司制的挤出成型机通过共挤出而成型出三层管。使内层的三氟乙烯共聚物(CPT)(大金工业公司制,NEOFLON CPT LP-1000)在料筒温度310℃下熔融,使中间的气体阻隔层乙烯/乙烯醇共聚树脂(EVOH)(日本合成化学工业公司制SOARNOL,可乐丽公司制EVAL)在料筒温度230℃下熔融,使外层的(三菱化学公司制MODIC F534A,三井化学公司制ADMER,ARKEMA公司制PEBAX)在料筒温度190℃下熔融,在温度310℃的模具内使其层叠并挤出。通过成型设备(former)控制外径,进行冷却,得到了外径4mm、内径3mm的层叠管。各实施例、比较例的管的各层的构成和壁厚如表1所示。

(2)氧浓度测定
管截面的氧浓度利用能量色散型X射线分析(EDX)来测定。测定使用日立HighTechnologies公司制的台式显微镜Miniscope(注册商标)TM3030Plus。利用液氮对管进行冷却并与管长尺寸方向垂直地进行切割而制成截面,将以气体阻隔层为中心的φ100μm的圆作为测定范围来进行测定。以加速电压15kV、真空度50Pa、观察倍率1000倍进行测定,测定范围的圆的中心设定为与气体阻隔层的壁厚的中心一致,设定为气体阻隔层的面积在测定范围中尽可能大。利用EDX测定的元素为F、C、O、Cl,其比率采用通过显微镜附带的程序自动计算出的比率。在测定中,在同一截面上测定至少6处以上,将其平均设为氧浓度。此外,在同一截面上的测定中,确定最大值和最小值,设为最大氧浓度和最小氧浓度。氧浓度的径向偏差使用以下的算式:(最大氧浓度-最小氧浓度)/(氧浓度)=(氧浓度的径向偏差)×100(%)来计算出。同样地,在长尺寸方向上在8处以上测定氧浓度,在其中确定最大值和最小值,使用上述算式来计算出氧浓度的长尺寸方向偏差。结果归纳于后述的表2。
(3)氧透过试验
为了去除吸附于内层的气体,在切成500mm的管中封入脱气水并将两末端密封,在50℃的恒温槽中静置12小时后,使温度下降至室温。在管的温度变成室温时,将封入的水排出,再次封入脱气水并密封。
之后,使用去除了吸附于管内表面的气体的、长度500mm的管来评价氧透过性。在管内部封入脱气水,在35℃、80%RH的环境中放置500小时。经过500小时后,在室温(23~26℃)下使用溶解氧仪来测定封入管内的脱气水的溶解氧。将500小时后的溶解氧量为7.0mg/L以下的管设为“OK”。结果归纳于后述的表2。
(4)滑动试验
以600mm切出管,将管两端部分别设置于试验装置的接头。设定为设置于接头的管的内侧的间隔为65mm(弯曲R65mm),将滑动周期设为120次/分钟来使管滑动,每100万次通过目视来观察整个管,确认开裂的产生。试验以n=6进行,在其中的一根以上确认到开裂的产生时结束试验。将在试验结束紧前所确认到的次数设为滑动次数。将结果示于表2。

氧浓度在2~9atm%的范围内、将氧浓度的偏差抑制得小的实施例1~5的管能维持氧阻隔性并且兼顾耐开裂性。与此相对,比较例1的管的氧浓度过高而耐开裂性差,此外,氧浓度的偏差大,因此耐开裂性差。
产业上的可利用性
本发明的墨液供给管兼具氧阻隔性和耐开裂性这两者,而且滑动次数也非常高且稳定,因此,不限定于家庭用的打印机,适合于对工业用和商业用的打印机所具备的墨液进行供给的用途。此外,在有机EL材料、UV固化性涂料、粘接剂等使用印刷方式的各种制造装置用途中也是有用的。
本说明书所引用的全部的刊行物和专利文献通过参照作为整体而援引至本说明书中。需要说明的是,以例示为目的,在本说明书中对本发明的特定的实施方式进行了说明,但对于本领域技术人员而言容易理解的是,在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的情况下,有时进行各种改变。
Claims (8)
1.一种墨液供给管,其特征在于,是具备气体阻隔性的墨液供给管,该管包括与墨液相接的内层、中间层以及外层,在此,该中间层是利用乙烯/乙烯醇共聚树脂成型的气体阻隔层,而且,以该气体阻隔层为中心的直径100μm的圆区域内的氧浓度为2~9atm%。
2.根据权利要求1所述的墨液供给管,其中,
构成所述气体阻隔层的乙烯/乙烯醇共聚树脂的乙烯组成率为25~45mol%。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的墨液供给管,其中,
径向截面的氧浓度的偏差为25%以下。
4.根据权利要求1~3中任一项所述的墨液供给管,其中,
长尺寸方向截面的氧浓度的偏差为10%以下。
5.根据权利要求1~4中任一项所述的墨液供给管,其中,
所述气体阻隔层的壁厚相对于所述墨液供给管的壁厚的比率为1%~25%。
6.根据权利要求1~4中任一项所述的墨液供给管,其中,
所述气体阻隔层的壁厚为0.01~0.10mm。
7.根据权利要求1~6中任一项所述的墨液供给管,其中,
所述内层选自由氟树脂、聚烯烃以及它们的混合物构成的组。
8.根据权利要求1~7中任一项所述的墨液供给管,其中,
所述外层选自由聚烯烃系弹性体、聚酰胺系弹性体、聚氨酯系弹性体、聚烯烃系树脂、聚酰胺树脂以及它们的混合物构成的组。
