Abstract
本发明提供在包括具有阻隔层、位于上述阻隔层的一个表面侧的热熔接性树脂层和位于上述阻隔层的另一个表面侧的聚酯膜的叠层体的电池用包装材料中,提高成型性并且抑制成型后的卷曲的技术。该电池用包装材料由至少具有阻隔层、位于上述阻隔层的一个表面侧的热熔接性树脂层和位于上述阻隔层的另一个表面侧的聚酯膜的叠层体构成,在利用傅立叶变换红外分光法的全反射法,在上述聚酯膜的表面上,从0°至180°每隔10°取得18个方向的红外吸收光谱时,该红外吸收光谱的1340cm‑1的吸收峰强度Y1340与1410cm‑1的吸收峰强度Y1410的比(Y1340/Y1410)的最大值Ymax与最小值Ymin的比(表面取向度:Ymax/Ymin)处于1.4~2.7的范围。

技术领域
本发明涉及电池用包装材料及其制造方法、电池和聚酯膜。
背景技术
目前,已开发了各种类型的电池,但在所有的电池中,为了封装电极、电解质等电池元件,包装材料成了不可或缺的部件。目前,作为电池用包装体,普遍使用金属制的包装材料。
另一方面,近年来,伴随着电动汽车、混合动力电动汽车、个人电脑、照相机、手机等的高性能化,对于电池,要求各种各样的形状,并且还要求薄型化和轻质化。然而,利用目前普遍使用的金属制的电池用包装材料难以应对形状的多样化,并且具有轻质化也存在极限这样的缺点。
因此,近年来,作为容易加工成各种各样的形状且能够实现薄型化和轻质化的电池用包装材料,提出了基材/阻隔层/热熔接性树脂层依次叠层而成的膜状的叠层体(例如参照专利文献1)。在这样的电池用包装材料中,通常利用冷轧成型形成凹部,在由该凹部形成的空间内配置电极、电解液等电池元件,使热熔接性树脂层彼此热熔接,由此可以得到电池元件被收纳于电池用包装材料的内部的电池。

发明内容
发明要解决的技术问题
近年来,伴随着电池的小型化、薄型化的要求,对于电池用包装材料,也要求更进一步的薄膜化。
然而,使电池用包装材料的各层的厚度变薄时,有时电池用包装材料所形成的凹部的周缘部会发生卷曲(弯曲),阻碍电池元件的收纳和热熔接性树脂层的热熔接,降低电池的生产效率。特别而言,用于汽车的二次电池等大型的二次电池所使用的电池用包装材料由于尺寸大,具有卷曲对电池的生产率造成的影响非常大这样的问题。
另外,电池的外表面(基材表面)例如由尼龙膜构成时,在电池的制造工序中,若电解液附着在电池的表面,则电池的外表面被侵蚀(白化)而成为不良。因此,为了提高电池外表面的耐药品性、耐电解液性,有时使用拉伸聚酯膜作为基材。但是,本发明的发明人发现,在拉伸聚酯膜叠层而成的电池用包装材料中,特别容易发生上述的卷曲。另外,电池用包装材料的厚度变薄时,有成型性容易下降这样的问题,特别是,拉伸聚酯膜与聚酰胺膜相比,有硬且成型性差这样的问题。
在这样的状况下,本发明的主要目的在于,提供在包括具有阻隔层、位于上述阻隔层的一个表面侧的热熔接性树脂层和位于上述阻隔层的另一个表面侧的聚酯膜的叠层体的电池用包装材料中,提高成型性并且抑制成型后的卷曲的技术。
用于解决技术问题的技术方案
本发明人为了解决上述技术问题,进行了精心研究。作为其结果,发现了在由至少具有阻隔层、位于上述阻隔层的一个表面侧的热熔接性树脂层和位于上述阻隔层的另一个表面侧的聚酯膜的叠层体构成的电池用包装材料中,在利用傅立叶变换红外分光法的全反射法,在上述聚酯膜的表面上,从0°至180°每隔10°取得18个方向的红外吸收光谱时,通过该红外吸收光谱的1340cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1340与1410cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1410的比(Y1340/Y1410)的最大值Ymax与最小值Ymin的比(表面取向度:Ymax/Ymin)处于1.4以上2.7以下的范围,成型性优异,并且成型后的卷曲被有效地抑制。本发明是基于这些见解进一步反复研究而完成的发明。
即,本发明提供如下所述的方式的发明。
项1.一种电池用包装材料,其由至少具有阻隔层、位于上述阻隔层的一个表面侧的热熔接性树脂层和位于上述阻隔层的另一个表面侧的聚酯膜的叠层体构成,

发明效果
利用本发明,能够提供一种电池用包装材料,其由具有阻隔层、位于上述阻隔层的一个表面侧的热熔接性树脂层和位于上述阻隔层的另一个表面侧的聚酯膜的叠层体构成,成型性优异,并且成型后的卷曲被有效地抑制。

具体实施方式
本发明的电池用包装材料的特征在于,其由至少具有阻隔层、位于上述阻隔层的一个表面侧的热熔接性树脂层和位于上述阻隔层的另一个表面侧的聚酯膜的叠层体构成,在利用傅立叶变换红外分光法的全反射法,在上述聚酯膜的表面上,从0°至180°每隔10°取得18个方向的红外吸收光谱时,该红外吸收光谱的1340cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1340(CH2纵摇振动)与1410cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1410(C=C伸缩振动)的比(Y1340/Y1410)的最大值Ymax与最小值Ymin的比(表面取向度:Ymax/Ymin)处于1.4以上2.7以下的范围。以下,对本发明的电池用包装材料进行详细叙述。
其中,在本说明书中,关于显示数值范围的“~”的表示,表示该数值范围为标于其左侧的数值以上且标于其右侧的数值以下,例如,数值范围“X~Y”的标记是指X以上Y以下。
1.电池用包装材料的叠层结构
例如图1所示,本发明的电池用包装材料10包括依次具有聚酯膜1、阻隔层3和热熔接性树脂层4的叠层体。在本发明的电池用包装材料中,聚酯膜1成为最外层侧,热熔接性树脂层4成为最内层。即,在组装电池时,位于电池元件的周缘的热熔接性树脂层4彼此热熔接而密封电池元件,由此电池元件被封装。
关于本发明的电池用包装材料,例如图2所示,在聚酯膜1与阻隔层3之间,以提高它们的粘接性为目的,根据需要,可以具有粘接剂层2。另外,在阻隔层3与热熔接性树脂层4之间,以提高它们的粘接性为目的,根据需要,也可以设置粘接层5。另外,如图4所示,在聚酯膜1的外侧(与热熔接性树脂层4相反的一侧),根据需要,还可以设置有表面覆盖层6等。
作为构成本发明电池用包装材料的叠层体的总厚度,没有特别限制,从使叠层体的总厚度尽可能变薄并且发挥高的成型性、以及有效地抑制成型后的卷曲的观点考虑,可以列举优选约160μm以下、更优选35~155μm左右、进一步优选45~120μm左右。即使构成本发明电池用包装材料的叠层体的厚度薄至例如160μm以下,通过本发明,也能够具有优异的成型性并且有效地抑制成型后的卷曲。
2.形成电池用包装材料的各层
[聚酯膜1]
在本发明的电池用包装材料中,聚酯膜1是位于最外层侧的层,作为基材发挥功能。
在本发明的电池用包装材料中,在该聚酯膜的表面上,利用傅立叶变换红外分光法的全反射法,从0°至180°每隔10°取得18个方向的红外吸收光谱,该红外吸收光谱的1340cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1340(CH2纵摇振动)与1410cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1410(C=C伸缩振动)的比(Y1340/Y1410)的最大值Ymax与最小值Ymin的比(表面取向度:Ymax/Ymin)处于1.4~2.7的范围。在本发明的电池用包装材料中,通过聚酯膜的该表面取向度(Ymax/Ymin)处于1.4~2.7的范围,成型性优异,并且成型后的卷曲被有效地抑制。该机理可以考虑如下。即,可以考虑是由于聚酯膜的表面取向度(Ymax/Ymin)处于1.4~2.7的范围,构成聚酯膜的聚酯分子的结晶取向性高,成型时的聚酯膜的收缩被抑制,因此作为结果,可以发挥优异的成型性,并且成型后的卷曲被有效地抑制。
红外吸收光谱的具体的测定条件如下所述。其中,只要是露出聚酯膜的表面的状态,就可以在叠层于电池用包装材料的状态下进行聚酯膜的表面上的红外吸收光谱的测定。另外,在后述的表面覆盖层6等叠层在聚酯膜1的表面的情况下,能够除去该表面覆盖层6从而设为露出聚酯膜的表面的状态后,进行测定。另外,后述的对于本发明的聚酯膜的红外吸收光谱的测定,在以下的测定条件下对单层的聚酯膜进行测定。
(红外吸收光谱的测定条件)
利用傅立叶变换红外分光光度计,使用1次反射ATR法,在以下的条件下进行测定。
波数分辨率:8cm-1
IRE:Ge
入射角:30°
偏振镜:线栅、S偏光
基线:波数1800cm-1至2000cm-1的范围的强度的平均值
吸收峰强度Y1340:从波数1335cm-1至1342cm-1的范围的峰强度的最大值减去基线的值而得到的值
吸收峰强度Y1410:从波数1400cm-1至1410cm-1的范围的峰强度的最大值减去基线的值而得到的值
关于18个方向的红外吸收光谱的取得,将作为样品的聚酯膜水平放置于样品保持件上,连同放置在样品上的Ge晶体每次旋转10°而进行。入射角为垂线(法线)与入射光的角度。
该表面取向度(Ymax/Ymin)只要处于1.4~2.7的范围,就没有特别限制,从具有优异的成型性并且抑制成型后的卷曲以及提高成型性的观点考虑,作为下限,优选列举约1.6以上,作为上限,优选列举约2.4以下。另外,作为该表面取向度(Ymax/Ymin)的优选的范围,可以列举1.4~2.4左右、1.6~2.7左右、1.6~2.4左右。
具有上述那样的表面取向度:Ymax/Ymin的聚酯膜例如可以通过适当调整制造聚酯膜时的拉伸方法、拉伸倍率、拉伸速度、冷却温度、热固定温度等而制造。
另外,在本发明的电池用包装材料中,聚酯膜的双折射率优选为0.016以上。即,在聚酯膜的折射率测定中,对作为折射率大的方向的滞相轴方向的折射率(nx)和作为与上述滞相轴方向正交的方向的进相轴方向的折射率(ny)进行测定而算出的双折射率(nx-ny)优选为0.016以上。通过聚酯膜的双折射率为0.016以上,可以发挥更优异的成型性,并且更进一步有效地抑制成型后的卷曲。该机理可以考虑如下。即,可以考虑是由于聚酯膜的双折射率为0.016以上,构成聚酯膜的聚酯分子的结晶取向性高,成型时的聚酯膜的收缩被抑制,因此作为结果,可以发挥更优异的成型性,并且更进一步有效地抑制成型后的卷曲。
双折射率的具体的测定条件如下所述。其中,关于聚酯膜的双折射率的测定,对用于电池用包装材料的聚酯膜进行测定。
(双折射率的测定条件)
聚酯膜的双折射率可以使用相位差测定装置测定。测定波长为550nm,入射角设为10度。用于计算双折射率的聚酯膜的厚度使用千分尺测定。另外,用于计算双折射率的聚酯膜的平均折射率设为假定值1.6200。
作为该双折射率,从抑制成型后的卷曲并且更进一步提高成型性的观点考虑,下限优选列举约0.019以上,上限优选列举约0.056以下、更优选约0.050以下、进一步优选约0.042以下、进一步优选约0.026以下、特别优选约0.022以下。作为该双折射率的优选的范围,可以列举0.016~0.056左右、0.016~0.050左右、0.016~0.042左右、0.016~0.026左右、0.016~0.022左右、0.019~0.056左右、0.019~0.050左右、0.019~0.042左右、0.019~0.026左右、0.019~0.022左右。
另外,作为聚酯膜的滞相轴方向的折射率(nx),优选为1.68~1.70左右。另外,作为聚酯膜的进相轴方向的折射率(ny),优选为1.64~1.68左右。
具有上述那样的双折射率的聚酯膜与上述的表面取向度:Ymax/Ymin同样,例如可以通过适当调整制造上述的聚酯膜时的拉伸方法、拉伸倍率、拉伸速度、冷却温度、热固定温度等而制造。
聚酯膜优选为拉伸聚酯膜,更优选为双轴拉伸聚酯膜。拉伸聚酯膜是在聚酯膜的制造过程中实施了拉伸的聚酯膜。
作为构成聚酯膜的聚酯,具体可以列举:聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯、聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯、聚萘二甲酸乙二醇酯、聚萘二甲酸丁二醇酯、聚间苯二甲酸乙二醇酯、以对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯为重复单元的主体的共聚聚酯、以对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯为重复单元的主体的共聚聚酯等。另外,作为以对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯为重复单元的主体的共聚聚酯,具体可以列举:以对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯为重复单元的主体并使其与间苯二甲酸乙二醇酯聚合而成的共聚物聚酯(以下,简称为聚乙二醇(对苯二甲酸酯/间苯二甲酸酯))、聚乙二醇(对苯二甲酸酯/间苯二甲酸酯)、聚乙二醇(对苯二甲酸酯/己二酸酯)、聚乙二醇(对苯二甲酸酯/间苯二甲酸酯磺酸钠)、聚乙二醇(对苯二甲酸酯/间苯二甲酸酯钠)、聚乙二醇(对苯二甲酸酯/苯基-二甲酸酯)、聚乙二醇(对苯二甲酸酯/癸烷二甲酸酯)等。另外,作为以对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯为重复单元的主体的共聚聚酯,具体可以列举:以对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯为重复单元的主体并使其与间苯二甲酸丁二醇酯聚合而成的共聚物聚酯(以下,简称为聚丁二醇(对苯二甲酸酯/间苯二甲酸酯))、聚丁二醇(对苯二甲酸酯/己二酸酯)、聚丁二醇(对苯二甲酸酯/癸二酸酯)、聚丁二醇(对苯二甲酸酯/癸烷二甲酸酯)、聚萘二甲酸丁二醇酯等。这些聚酯可以单独使用1种,还可以将2种以上组合使用。
作为聚酯膜1的厚度,没有特别限制,从提高成型性并且有效地抑制成型后的卷曲的观点考虑,优选列举50μm以下。另外,从抑制卷曲并且更进一步提高成型性的观点考虑,可以列举优选4~30μm左右、更优选16~25μm左右。另外,如下所述,聚酯膜1为多层结构时,作为位于最外层侧的聚酯膜一层的厚度,可以列举优选4~16μm左右、更优选9~12μm左右。
聚酯膜1可以为单层,也可以为多层(多层结构)。其中,聚酯膜1为多层时,至少位于最外层侧(与阻隔层3相反的一侧)的聚酯膜一层满足上述的表面取向度:Ymax/Ymin的范围即可。
另外,为了提高耐针孔性和形成电池的包装体时的绝缘性,在阻隔层3的上述一个表面侧,除了聚酯膜以外,还可以使不同原材料的树脂膜和涂层的至少一者叠层化(多层结构化)而形成基材。作为用于基材的其他的树脂膜,例如可以列举由聚酰胺、环氧树脂、丙烯酸树脂、氟树脂、聚氨酯、硅树脂、酚醛树脂、聚醚酰亚胺、聚酰亚胺和它们的混合物、共聚物等构成的树脂膜。作为使聚酯膜1和不同原材料的树脂膜叠层化的构成的具体例,可以列举使聚酯膜和聚酰胺膜叠层而成的多层结构等。
作为构成聚酰胺膜的聚酰胺,具体可以列举:尼龙6、尼龙66、尼龙610、尼龙12、尼龙46、尼龙6与尼龙6,6的共聚物等的脂肪族系聚酰胺;包含来自对苯二甲酸和/或间苯二甲酸的结构单元的尼龙6I、尼龙6T、尼龙6IT、尼龙6I6T(I表示间苯二甲酸,T表示对苯二甲酸)等的六亚甲基二胺-间苯二甲酸-对苯二甲酸共聚聚酰胺、聚间二甲苯己二酰胺(MXD6)等的包含芳香族的聚酰胺;聚氨基甲基环己基己二酰胺(PACM6)等的脂环系聚酰胺;以及使内酰胺成分、4,4’-二苯基甲烷-二异氰酸酯等异氰酸酯成分共聚而成的聚酰胺、作为共聚聚酰胺与聚酯、聚亚烷基醚二醇的共聚物的聚酯酰胺共聚物、聚醚酯酰胺共聚物;它们的共聚物等。这些聚酰胺可以单独使用1种,还可以将2种以上组合使用。聚酰胺膜的拉伸性优异,能够防止成型时因树脂破裂而发生白化,适合与聚酯膜1一起作为用于基材的树脂膜使用。
作为基材为聚酯膜1的多层结构的情况以及具有上述树脂膜的情况的具体例,优选聚酯膜与尼龙膜的叠层体、使多个聚酯膜叠层而成的叠层体,更优选拉伸聚酯膜与拉伸尼龙膜的叠层体、使多个拉伸聚酯膜叠层而成的叠层体。例如,将基材设为2层结构时,优选设为将聚酯膜和聚酰胺膜叠层的结构、或者将聚酯膜和聚酯膜叠层的结构,更优选设为将聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯和尼龙叠层的结构、或者将聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯和聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯叠层的结构。另外,聚酯膜由于例如电解液附着于表面时不容易变色等,通过形成从阻隔层3侧依次具有尼龙膜和聚酯膜的叠层体,能够成为耐电解液性优异的结构。作为不位于最外层的聚酯膜、聚酯膜以外的树脂膜的厚度,优选列举3~25μm。
在将基材设为聚酯膜1的多层结构的情况以及设为具有上述树脂膜的结构的情况下,聚酯膜1、各树脂膜可以利用粘接剂进行粘接,还可以不利用粘接剂而直接叠层。在不利用粘接剂进行粘接时,例如可以列举共挤出法、夹层层压法、热层压法等以热熔融状态进行粘接的方法。另外,利用粘接剂进行粘接时,所使用的粘接剂可以为双液固化型粘接剂,还可以为单液固化型粘接剂。另外,对于粘接剂的粘接机理,也没有特别限制,可以为化学反应型、溶剂挥发型、热熔融型、热压型、电子射线固化型、紫外线固化型等中的任意种。作为粘接剂的具体例,可以列举与在粘接剂层2所例示的粘接剂相同的粘接剂。另外,关于粘接剂的厚度,也可以与粘接剂层2相同。
在本发明中,从提高电池用包装材料的成型性的观点考虑,优选在电池用包装材料的表面附着有润滑剂。可以在聚酯膜1、表面覆盖层6中含有润滑剂,也可以在电池用包装材料的表面存在润滑剂。另外,关于存在于电池用包装材料的最外表面的润滑剂,可以使聚酯膜1、构成表面覆盖层6的树脂所含的润滑剂渗出,也可以在电池用包装材料的表面涂布润滑剂。作为润滑剂,没有特别限制,优选列举酰胺系润滑剂。作为润滑剂的具体例,可以列举饱和脂肪酰胺、不饱和脂肪酰胺、取代酰胺、羟甲基酰胺、饱和脂肪酸双酰胺、不饱和脂肪酸双酰胺等。作为饱和脂肪酰胺的具体例,可以列举月桂酰胺、棕榈酰胺、硬脂酰胺、山萮酰胺、羟基硬脂酰胺等。作为不饱和脂肪酰胺的具体例,可以列举油酰胺、芥酰胺等。作为取代酰胺的具体例,可以列举N-油基棕榈酰胺、N-硬脂基硬脂酰胺、N-硬脂基油酰胺、N-油基硬脂酰胺、N-硬脂基芥酰胺等。另外,作为羟甲基酰胺的具体例,可以列举羟甲基硬脂酰胺等。作为饱和脂肪酸双酰胺的具体例,可以列举亚甲基双硬脂酰胺、亚乙基双癸酰胺、亚乙基双月桂酰胺、亚乙基双硬脂酰胺、亚乙基双羟基硬脂酰胺、亚乙基双山萮酰胺、六亚甲基双硬脂酰胺、六亚甲基双山萮酰胺、六亚甲基羟基硬脂酰胺、N,N’-二硬脂基己二酰胺、N,N’-二硬脂基癸二酰胺等。作为不饱和脂肪酸双酰胺的具体例,可以列举亚乙基双油酰胺、亚乙基双芥酰胺、六亚甲基双油酰胺、N,N’-二油基己二酰胺、N,N’-二油基癸二酰胺等。作为脂肪酸酯酰胺的具体例,可以列举硬脂酰胺硬脂酸乙酯等。另外,作为芳香族系双酰胺的具体例,可以列举亚间苯二甲基双硬脂酰胺、亚间苯二甲基双羟基硬脂酰胺、N,N’-二硬脂基间苯二甲酰胺等。润滑剂可以单独使用1种,也可以将2种以上组合使用。
润滑剂存在于聚酯膜1表面时,作为其存在量,没有特别限制,在温度24℃、相对湿度60%的环境中,可以列举优选约3mg/m2以上、更优选4~15mg/m2左右、进一步优选5~14mg/m2左右。
作为聚酯膜1和上述其他的树脂膜合计厚度(基材的总厚度),没有特别限制,从提高成型性并且有效地抑制成型后的卷曲的观点考虑,优选列举约50μm以下。另外,从抑制卷曲并且更进一步提高成型性的观点考虑,可以列举优选4~30μm左右、更优选16~25μm左右。
[粘接剂层2]
在本发明的电池用包装材料中,粘接剂层2是为了使聚酯膜1或上述的树脂膜与阻隔层3牢固地粘接而根据需要设置于它们之间的层。
粘接剂层2由能够将聚酯膜1或上述的树脂膜与阻隔层3粘接的粘接剂形成。用于形成粘接剂层2的粘接剂可以为双液固化型粘接剂,还可以为单液固化型粘接剂。另外,对用于形成粘接剂层2的粘接剂,也没有特别限制,可以为化学反应型、溶剂挥发型、热熔融型、热压型等中的任意种。
作为能够用于形成粘接剂层2的粘接成分,具体可以列举:聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯、聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯、聚萘二甲酸乙二醇酯、聚萘二甲酸丁二醇酯、聚间苯二甲酸乙二醇酯、共聚聚酯等聚酯系树脂;聚醚系粘接剂;聚氨酯系粘接剂;环氧系树脂;酚醛系树脂;尼龙6、尼龙66、尼龙12、共聚聚酰胺等聚酰胺系树脂;聚烯烃、羧酸改性聚烯烃、金属改性聚烯烃等聚烯烃系树脂、聚乙酸乙烯酯系树脂;纤维素系粘接剂;(甲基)丙烯酸系树脂;聚酰亚胺系树脂;聚碳酸酯;尿素树脂、三聚氰胺树脂等氨基树脂;氯丁二烯橡胶、丁腈橡胶、苯乙烯-丁二烯橡胶等橡胶;有机硅系树脂等。这些粘接成分可以单独使用1种,还可以将2种以上组合使用。在这些粘接成分中,优选列举聚氨酯系粘接剂。另外,作为这些粘接成分的树脂可以并用适当的固化剂而提高粘接强度。根据粘接成分所具有的官能团,上述固化剂从多异氰酸酯、多官能环氧树脂、含噁唑啉基聚合物、聚胺树脂、酸酐等中适当选择。作为这些粘接成分和固化剂,优选列举由各种多元醇(上述粘接成分中具有羟基的化合物)和多异氰酸酯形成的聚氨酯系粘接剂。进一步优选列举以聚酯多元醇、聚醚多元醇和丙烯酸多元醇等多元醇为主剂、以芳香族系或脂肪族系多异氰酸酯为固化剂的双液固化型聚氨酯粘接剂。
对于粘接剂层2的厚度,只要能够发挥作为粘接层的功能,就没有特别限制,例如可以列举1~10μm左右、优选2~5μm左右。
[阻隔层3]
在电池用包装材料中,阻隔层3是具有提高电池用包装材料的强度并且防止水蒸气、氧、光等侵入电池内部的功能的层。阻隔层3优选为金属层、即由金属形成的层。作为构成阻隔层3的金属,具体可以列举铝、不锈钢、钛等,优选列举铝。阻隔层3例如可以由金属箔、金属蒸镀膜、无机氧化物蒸镀膜、含碳无机氧化物蒸镀膜、设置有这些蒸镀膜的膜等形成,优选由金属箔形成,进一步优选由铝合金箔形成。在制造电池用包装材料时,从防止阻隔层3产生褶皱、针孔的观点考虑,阻隔层例如更优选由经退火处理后的铝(JIS H4160:1994A8021H-O、JIS H4160:1994A8079H-O、JIS H4000:2014A8021P-O、JIS H4000:2014A8079P-O)等软质铝合金箔形成。
阻隔层3的厚度只要能够发挥阻隔水蒸气等的功能,就没有特别限制,从使电池用包装材料的厚度变薄的观点考虑,可以列举优选约100μm以下、更优选10~100μm左右、进一步优选10~80μm左右。
另外,为了粘接的稳定化、防止溶解和腐蚀等,优选对阻隔层3的至少一个表面、优选两个表面进行化学法表面处理。其中,化学法表面处理是指在阻隔层的表面形成耐酸性覆膜的处理。在本发明中,阻隔层3可以在一个表面具有耐酸性覆膜,也可以在两个表面具有耐酸性覆膜,还可以不具有耐酸性覆膜。作为化学法表面处理,例如可以列举:使用硝酸铬、氟化铬、硫酸铬、乙酸铬、草酸铬、磷酸二氢铬、铬酸乙酰乙酸酯、氯化铬、硫酸钾铬等铬化合物的铬酸盐处理;使用磷酸钠、磷酸钾、磷酸铵、多磷酸等磷酸化合物的磷酸处理;使用具有下述通式(1)~(4)所示的重复单元的氨基化酚聚合物的铬酸盐处理等。其中,在该氨基化酚聚合物中,下述通式(1)~(4)所示的重复单元可以单独含有1种,也可以为2种以上的任意组合。
通式(1)~(4)中,X表示氢原子、羟基、烷基、羟基烷基、烯丙基或苄基。另外,R1和R2分别相同或不同,表示羟基、烷基或羟基烷基。在通式(1)~(4)中,作为X、R1和R2所示的烷基,例如可以列举甲基、乙基、正丙基、异丙基、正丁基、异丁基、叔丁基等碳原子数1~4的直链或支链状烷基。另外,作为X、R1和R2所示的羟基烷基,例如可以列举羟基甲基、1-羟基乙基、2-羟基乙基、1-羟基丙基、2-羟基丙基、3-羟基丙基、1-羟基丁基、2-羟基丁基、3-羟基丁基、4-羟基丁基等取代有1个羟基的碳原子数1~4的直链或支链状烷基。在通式(1)~(4)中,X、R1和R2所示的烷基和羟基烷基分别可以相同,也可以不同。在通式(1)~(4)中,X优选为氢原子、羟基或羟基烷基。具有通式(1)~(4)所示的重复单元的氨基化酚聚合物的数均分子量例如优选为500~100万左右,更优选为1000~2万左右。
另外,作为对阻隔层3赋予耐腐蚀性的化学法表面处理方法,可以列举如下的方法:涂覆将氧化铝、氧化钛、氧化铈、氧化锡等金属氧化物或硫酸钡的微粒分散在磷酸中而得到的物质,在150℃以上进行烘烤处理,由此在阻隔层3的表面形成耐酸性覆膜。另外,也可以在耐酸性覆膜上进一步形成利用交联剂使阳离子性聚合物交联而成的树脂层。其中,作为阳离子性聚合物,例如可以列举聚乙烯亚胺、由聚乙烯亚胺和具有羧酸的聚合物形成的离子高分子配位化合物、在丙烯酸主骨架上接枝聚合伯胺而成的伯胺接枝丙烯酸树脂、聚烯丙胺或其衍生物、氨基苯酚等。作为这些阳离子性聚合物,可以只使用1种,也可以将2种以上组合使用。另外,作为交联剂,例如可以列举具有选自异氰酸酯基、缩水甘油基、羧基和噁唑啉基中的至少1种官能团的化合物、硅烷偶联剂等。作为这些交联剂,可以只使用1种,也可以将2种以上组合使用。
另外,作为具体设置耐酸性覆膜的方法,例如作为一个例子,至少对铝合金箔的内层侧的表面,首先利用碱浸渍法、电解清洗法、酸清洗法、电解酸清洗法、酸活化法等公知的处理方法进行脱脂处理,之后,利用辊涂法、凹版印刷法、浸渍法等公知的涂布方法在脱脂处理面涂布以磷酸铬盐、磷酸钛盐、磷酸锆盐、磷酸锌盐等磷酸金属盐和这些金属盐的混合物为主要成分的处理液(水溶液);或者以磷酸非金属盐和这些非金属盐的混合物为主要成分的处理液(水溶液);或者包含这些与丙烯酸系树脂或酚醛系树脂或聚氨酯系树脂等水系合成树脂的混合物的处理液(水溶液),由此能够形成耐酸性覆膜。例如,利用磷酸铬盐系处理液进行处理时,形成包含磷酸铬、磷酸铝、氧化铝、氢氧化铝、氟化铝等的耐酸性覆膜;利用磷酸锌盐系处理液进行处理时,形成包含磷酸锌水合物、磷酸铝、氧化铝、氢氧化铝、氟化铝等的耐酸性覆膜。
另外,作为设置耐酸性覆膜的具体方法的其他例子,例如至少对铝合金箔的内层侧的表面,首先利用碱浸渍法、电解清洗法、酸清洗法、电解酸清洗法、酸活化法等公知的处理方法进行脱脂处理,之后,对脱脂处理面实施公知的阳极氧化处理,由此能够形成耐酸性覆膜。
另外,作为耐酸性覆膜的其他的一个例子,可以列举磷酸盐系、铬酸系的覆膜。作为磷酸盐系,可以列举磷酸锌、磷酸铁、磷酸锰、磷酸钙、磷酸铬等;作为铬酸系,可以列举铬酸铬等。
另外,作为耐酸性覆膜的其他的一个例子,通过形成磷酸盐、铬酸盐、氟化物、三嗪硫醇化合物等的耐酸性覆膜,能够显示如下效果:防止压花成型时铝与作为基材发挥功能的层之间的脱层;防止由于电解质与水分反应所生成的氟化氢造成的铝表面发生溶解、腐蚀,特别是存在于铝的表面的氧化铝发生溶解、腐蚀;并且提高铝表面的粘接性(润湿性),防止热熔接时作为基材发挥功能的层与铝的脱层;防止压花类型中压制成型时作为基材发挥功能的层与铝的脱层。在形成耐酸性覆膜的物质中,在铝表面涂布由酚醛树脂、氟化铬(III)化合物、磷酸这三种成分构成的水溶液,干燥烘烤的处理良好。
另外,耐酸性覆膜包括具有氧化铈、磷酸或磷酸盐、阴离子性聚合物和使该阴离子性聚合物交联的交联剂的层,上述磷酸或磷酸盐相对于上述氧化铈100质量份可以配合1~100质量份左右。耐酸性覆膜优选为还包括具有阳离子性聚合物和使该阳离子性聚合物交联的交联剂的层的多层结构。
另外,上述阴离子性聚合物优选为聚(甲基)丙烯酸或其盐、或者以(甲基)丙烯酸或其盐为主要成分的共聚物。另外,上述交联剂优选为选自具有异氰酸酯基、缩水甘油基、羧基、噁唑啉基中的任意官能团的化合物和硅烷偶联剂中的至少1种。
另外,上述磷酸或磷酸盐优选为缩合磷酸或缩合磷酸盐。
化学法表面处理可以只进行1种化学法表面处理,也可以将2种以上的化学法表面处理组合进行。另外,这些化学法表面处理可以单独使用1种化合物进行,或者也可以组合使用2种以上的化合物进行。在化学法表面处理中,优选铬酸盐处理、将铬化合物、磷酸化合物和氨基化酚聚合物组合的化学法表面处理等。在铬化合物中,优选铬酸化合物。
作为耐酸性覆膜的具体例,可以列举含有磷酸盐、铬酸盐、氟化物和三嗪硫醇中的至少1种的覆膜。另外,也优选含有铈化合物的耐酸性覆膜。作为铈化合物,优选氧化铈。
另外,作为耐酸性覆膜的具体例,还可以列举磷酸盐系覆膜、铬酸盐系覆膜、氟化物系覆膜、三嗪硫醇化合物覆膜等。作为耐酸性覆膜,可以为这些中的1种,也可以为多种的组合。另外,作为耐酸性覆膜,可以在对铝合金箔的化学法表面处理面进行脱脂处理后,利用包含磷酸金属盐和水系合成树脂的混合物的处理液或包含磷酸非金属盐和水系合成树脂的混合物的处理液形成。
其中,耐酸性覆膜的组成分析例如可以利用飞行时间型二次离子质谱法进行。通过利用飞行时间型二次离子质谱法的耐酸性覆膜的组成分析,例如可以检测出来自Ce+和Cr+的至少一者的峰。
优选在铝合金箔的表面具有包含选自磷、铬和铈中的至少1种元素的耐酸性覆膜。其中,电池用包装材料的铝合金箔的表面的耐酸性覆膜中包含选自磷、铬和铈中的至少1种元素能够利用X射线光电子分光进行确认。具体而言,首先,将电池用包装材料中叠层于铝合金箔的热熔接性树脂层、粘接剂层等以物理的方式剥离。接着,将铝合金箔放入电炉中,在约300℃,利用约30分钟,除去存在于铝合金箔的表面的有机成分。之后,利用铝合金箔的表面的X射线光电子分光,确认包含这些元素。
对于化学法表面处理中形成于阻隔层3的表面的耐酸性覆膜的量,没有特别限制,例如进行上述的铬酸盐处理时,希望在阻隔层3的每1m2表面,铬化合物的含有比例以铬换算计为0.5~50mg左右、优选1.0~40mg左右,磷化合物的含有比例以磷换算计为0.5~50mg左右、优选1.0~40mg左右,以及氨基化酚聚合物的含有比例为1.0~200mg左右、优选5.0~150mg左右。
作为耐酸性覆膜的厚度,没有特别限制,从覆膜的聚集力、与阻隔层3、热熔接树脂层的密合力的观点考虑,可以列举优选1nm~10μm左右、更优选1~100nm左右、进一步优选1~50nm左右。其中,耐酸性覆膜的厚度可以通过利用透射电子显微镜的观察、或者利用透射电子显微镜的观察和能量分散型X射线分光法或电子射线能量损失分光法的组合进行测定。
关于化学法表面处理,在利用棒涂法、辊涂法、凹版涂布法、浸渍法等将含有用于形成耐酸性覆膜的化合物的溶液涂布于阻隔层的表面后,以阻隔层的温度成为70~200℃左右的方式进行加热而进行。另外,在对阻隔层实施化学法表面处理前,可以预先将阻隔层供于利用碱浸渍法、电解清洗法、酸清洗法、电解酸清洗法等的脱脂处理。通过如此地进行脱脂处理,能够更有效地进行阻隔层的表面的化学法表面处理。
[热熔接性树脂层4]
在本发明的电池用包装材料中,热熔接性树脂层4相当于最内层,是在组装电池时热熔接性树脂层彼此热熔接而密封电池元件的层。
对于热熔接性树脂层4所使用的树脂成分,只要能够热熔接,就没有特别限制,例如可以列举聚烯烃、环状聚烯烃、羧酸改性聚烯烃、羧酸改性环状聚烯烃。即,构成热熔接性树脂层4的树脂可以包含聚烯烃骨架,也可以不包含聚烯烃骨架,优选包含聚烯烃骨架。构成热熔接性树脂层4的树脂包含聚烯烃骨架例如能够利用红外分光法、气相色谱质谱法等进行分析,分析方法没有特别限定。例如,利用红外分光法测定马来酸酐改性聚烯烃时,在波数1760cm-1附近和波数1780cm-1附近检测出来自马来酸酐的峰。但是,酸改性度低时,有时峰变小而检测不到。此时,能够利用核磁共振分光法进行分析。
作为上述聚烯烃,具体可以列举:低密度聚乙烯、中密度聚乙烯、高密度聚乙烯、线状低密度聚乙烯等聚乙烯;均聚丙烯、聚丙烯的嵌段共聚物(例如丙烯和乙烯的嵌段共聚物)、聚丙烯的无规共聚物(例如丙烯和乙烯的无规共聚物)等聚丙烯;乙烯-丁烯-丙烯的三元共聚物等。在这些聚烯烃中,优选列举聚乙烯和聚丙烯。
上述环状聚烯烃为烯烃与环状单体的共聚物,作为上述环状聚烯烃的构成单体的烯烃,例如可以列举乙烯、丙烯、4-甲基-1-戊烯、丁二烯、异戊二烯等。另外,作为上述环状聚烯烃的构成单体的环状单体,例如可以列举降冰片烯等环状烯烃;具体可以列举环戊二烯、二环戊二烯、环己二烯、降冰片二烯等环状二烯等。在这些聚烯烃中,优选列举环状烯烃,更优选列举降冰片烯。另外,也可以将苯乙烯作为构成单体。
上述羧酸改性聚烯烃是通过利用羧酸将上述聚烯烃嵌段聚合或接枝聚合而改性得到的聚合物。作为改性所使用的羧酸,例如可以列举马来酸、丙烯酸、衣康酸、巴豆酸、马来酸酐、衣康酸酐等。
上述羧酸改性环状聚烯烃是通过将构成环状聚烯烃的单体的一部分替换成α,β-不饱和羧酸或其酸酐进行共聚、或者通过使α,β-不饱和羧酸或其酸酐与环状聚烯烃嵌段聚合或接枝聚合而得到的聚合物。关于被羧酸改性的环状聚烯烃,与上述相同。另外,作为改性所使用的羧酸,与上述酸改性聚烯烃的改性所使用的羧酸相同。
在这些树脂成分中,优选列举羧酸改性聚烯烃;更优选列举羧酸改性聚丙烯。
热熔接性树脂层4可以由1种树脂成分单独形成,还可以由将2种以上的树脂成分组合而成的共混聚合物形成。另外,热熔接性树脂层4可以只由1层形成,也可以利用相同或不同的树脂成分由2层以上形成。
热熔接性树脂层4中也可以含有润滑剂。另外,关于存在于热熔接性树脂层4的表面的润滑剂,可以使构成热熔接性树脂层4的树脂所含的润滑剂渗出,也可以在热熔接性树脂层4的表面涂布润滑剂。热熔接性树脂层4含有润滑剂时,能够提高电池用包装材料的成型性。作为润滑剂,没有特别限制,可以使用公知的润滑剂,例如可以列举上述的聚酯膜1所例示的润滑剂等。润滑剂可以单独使用1种,还可以将2种以上组合使用。作为热熔接性树脂层4的表面的润滑剂的存在量,没有特别限制,从提高电子包装用材料的成型性的观点考虑,在温度24℃、相对湿度60%的环境中,可以列举优选10~50mg/m2左右、进一步优选15~40mg/m2左右。
如上所述,近年来,伴随着电池的小型化、薄型化的要求,对于电池用包装材料也要求进一步的薄膜化。因此,对于位于电池用包装材料的最内层的热熔接性树脂层的厚度,也要求尽可能变薄。然而,热熔接性树脂层的厚度相对于基材的厚度的比变小时,有时形成于电池用包装材料的凹部的周缘部会发生卷曲(弯曲),阻碍电池元件的收纳和热熔接性树脂层的热熔接,降低电池的生产效率。特别而言,用于汽车的二次电池等大型的二次电池所使用的电池用包装材料由于尺寸大,存在卷曲对电池的生产率造成的影响非常大这样的问题。
热熔接性树脂层4的厚度相对于聚酯膜1的厚度的比变小(例如将聚酯膜1的厚度设为1时,热熔接性树脂层4的厚度相对于聚酯膜1的厚度的比(热熔接性树脂层的厚度/聚酯膜的厚度)为4以下)时,电池用包装材料的成型后的卷曲容易变大,但在本发明的电池用包装材料中,由于上述的该表面取向度(Ymax/Ymin)处于1.4~2.7的范围,因此,具有优异的成型性,并且成型后的卷曲被有效地抑制。在本发明的电池用包装材料中,从适当抑制成型后的卷曲的观点考虑,热熔接性树脂层4的厚度相对于聚酯膜1的厚度的比(热熔接性树脂层的厚度/聚酯膜的厚度)的优选的上限为4以下,更优选的上限小于3,进一步优选的上限为2以下,作为优选的下限,可以列举1以上。作为优选的范围,可以列举1以上4以下,作为更优选的范围,可以列举1以上且小于3,作为进一步优选的范围,可以列举1以上2以下。
另外,作为热熔接性树脂层4的厚度,从尽可能地使电池用包装材料薄型化并且抑制成型后的卷曲的观点考虑,上限可以列举优选约100μm以下、更优选约40μm以下,下限可以列举约15μm以上。另外,作为热熔接性树脂层4的厚度的优选范围,可以列举优选15~100μm左右、更优选15~40μm左右。
[粘接层5]
在本发明的电池用包装材料中,粘接层5是为了使阻隔层3与热熔接性树脂层4牢固地粘接而根据需要设置于它们之间的层。
粘接层5由能够将阻隔层3与热熔接性树脂层4粘接的树脂形成。作为用于形成粘接层5的树脂,可以使用其粘接机理、粘接剂成分的种类等例如与粘接剂层2所例示的粘接剂相同的粘接剂。另外,作为用于形成粘接层5的树脂,也可以使用上述的热熔接性树脂层4所例示的聚烯烃、环状聚烯烃、羧酸改性聚烯烃、羧酸改性环状聚烯烃等的聚烯烃系树脂。即,构成粘接层5的树脂可以包含聚烯烃骨架,也可以不包含聚烯烃骨架,优选包含聚烯烃骨架。构成粘接层5的树脂包含聚烯烃骨架例如可以利用红外分光法、气相色谱质谱法等进行分析,分析方法没有特别限定。例如,利用红外分光法测定马来酸酐改性聚烯烃时,在波数1760cm-1附近和波数1780cm-1附近检测出来自马来酸酐的峰。但是,酸改性度低时,有时峰变小而检测不到。此时,能够利用核磁共振分光法进行分析。从阻隔层3与热熔接性树脂层4的密合性优异的观点考虑,作为聚烯烃,优选羧酸改性聚烯烃,特别优选羧酸改性聚丙烯。
进一步而言,从使电池用包装材料的厚度变薄并且成为成型后的形状稳定性优异的电池用包装材料的观点考虑,粘接层5也可以为含有酸改性聚烯烃和固化剂的树脂组合物的固化物。作为酸改性聚烯烃,可以优选例示与热熔接性树脂层4所例示的羧酸改性聚烯烃、羧酸改性环状聚烯烃相同的化合物。另外,粘接层5优选为含有选自具有异氰酸酯基的化合物、具有噁唑啉基的化合物和具有环氧基的化合物中的至少1种的树脂组合物的固化物,特别优选为含有选自具有异氰酸酯基的化合物和具有环氧基的化合物中的至少1种的树脂组合物的固化物。另外,粘接层5优选含有选自聚氨酯树脂、酰胺酯树脂和环氧树脂中的至少1种,更优选含有聚氨酯树脂和环氧树脂。粘接层5更优选为含有这些中的至少1种和上述酸改性聚烯烃的树脂组合物的固化物。其中,在粘接层5中残留有具有异氰酸酯基的化合物、具有噁唑啉基的化合物、环氧树脂等固化剂的未反应物时,未反应物的存在例如能够利用选自红外分光法、拉曼分光法、飞行时间型二次离子质谱法(TOF-SIMS)等中的方法进行确认。
另外,作为固化剂,只要能够使酸改性聚烯烃固化,就没有特别限定。作为固化剂,例如可以列举环氧系固化剂、多官能异氰酸酯系固化剂、碳化二亚胺系固化剂、噁唑啉系固化剂等。另外,从进一步提高耐酸性覆膜与粘接层5的密合性的观点考虑,粘接层5优选为含有具有选自氧原子、杂环、C=N键和C-O-C键中的至少1种的固化剂的树脂组合物的固化物。作为具有杂环的固化剂,例如可以列举具有噁唑啉基的固化剂、具有环氧基的固化剂等。另外,作为具有C=N键的固化剂,可以列举具有噁唑啉基的固化剂、具有异氰酸酯基的固化剂等。另外,作为具有C-O-C键的固化剂,可以列举具有噁唑啉基的固化剂、具有环氧基的固化剂、聚氨酯树脂等。粘接层5为含有这些固化剂的树脂组合物的固化物例如能够利用气相色谱质谱(GCMS)、红外分光法(IR)、飞行时间型二次离子质谱法(TOF-SIMS)、X射线光电子分光法(XPS)等方法进行确认。
环氧系固化剂只要是至少具有1个环氧基的化合物,就没有特别限定。作为环氧系固化剂,例如可以列举双酚A二缩水甘油醚、改性双酚A二缩水甘油醚、酚醛清漆缩水甘油醚、甘油聚缩水甘油醚、聚甘油聚缩水甘油醚等环氧树脂。
多官能异氰酸酯系固化剂只要是具有2个以上的异氰酸酯基的化合物,就没有特别限定。作为多官能异氰酸酯系固化剂的具体例,可以列举异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯(IPDI)、六亚甲基二异氰酸酯(HDI)、甲苯二异氰酸酯(TDI)、二苯甲烷二异氰酸酯(MDI)、将它们聚合物化或脲酸酯(nurate)化而成的产物、它们的混合物、与其他聚合物的共聚物等。
碳化二亚胺系固化剂只要是至少具有1个碳化二亚胺基(-N=C=N-)的化合物,就没有特别限定。作为碳化二亚胺系固化剂,优选至少具有2个以上的碳化二亚胺基的多碳化二亚胺化合物。
噁唑啉系固化剂只要是具有噁唑啉骨架的化合物,就没有特别限定。作为噁唑啉系固化剂,具体可以列举日本触媒公司制造的Epocros系列等。
从利用粘接层5提高阻隔层3与热熔接性树脂层4的密合性等的观点考虑,固化剂也可以由2种以上的化合物构成。
形成粘接层5的树脂组合物中的固化剂的含量优选处于0.1~50质量%的范围内,更优选处于0.1~30质量%的范围内,进一步优选处于0.1~10质量%的范围内。
对于粘接层5的厚度,只要能够发挥作为粘接层的功能,就没有特别限制,在使用粘接剂层2所例示的粘接剂时,可以列举优选2~10μm左右、更优选2~5μm左右。另外,在使用热熔接性树脂层4所例示的树脂时,可以列举优选2~50μm左右、更优选10~40μm左右。另外,为酸改性聚烯烃和固化剂的固化物时,可以列举优选约30μm以下、更优选0.1~20μm左右、进一步优选0.5~5μm左右。其中,粘接层5为含有酸改性聚烯烃和固化剂的树脂组合物的固化物时,通过涂布该树脂组合物并利用加热等使其固化,能够形成粘接层5。
[表面覆盖层6]
在本发明的电池用包装材料中,以提高设计性、耐电解液性、耐擦伤性、成型性等为目的,根据需要,在聚酯膜1上(聚酯膜1的与阻隔层3相反的一侧)可以根据需要设置表面覆盖层6。表面覆盖层6是在组装电池时位于最外层的层。
表面覆盖层6例如可以由聚偏氯乙烯、聚酯树脂、聚氨酯树脂、丙烯酸树脂、环氧树脂等形成。这些中,表面覆盖层6优选由双液固化型树脂形成。作为形成表面覆盖层6的双液固化型树脂,例如可以列举双液固化型聚氨酯树脂、双液固化型聚酯树脂、双液固化型环氧树脂等。另外,也可以在表面覆盖层6中配合添加剂。
作为添加剂,例如可以列举粒径为0.5nm~5μm的微粒。对于添加剂的材质,没有特别限制,例如可以列举金属、金属氧化物、无机物、有机物等。另外,对于添加剂的形状,也没有特别限制,例如可以列举球状、纤维状、板状、无定形、空心球(balloon)状等。作为添加剂,具体可以列举滑石、二氧化硅、石墨、高岭土、蒙脱土、蒙脱石、合成云母、水滑石、硅胶、沸石、氢氧化铝、氢氧化镁、氧化锌、氧化镁、氧化铝、氧化钕、氧化锑、氧化钛、氧化铈、硫酸钙、硫酸钡、碳酸钙、硅酸钙、碳酸锂、苯甲酸钙、草酸钙、硬脂酸镁、氧化铝、炭黑、碳纳米管类、高熔点尼龙、交联丙烯酸、交联苯乙烯、交联聚乙烯、苯并胍胺、金、铝、铜、镍等。这些添加剂可以单独使用1种,还可以将2种以上组合使用。在这些添加剂中,从分散稳定性和成本等的观点考虑,优选列举二氧化硅、硫酸钡、氧化钛。另外,对于添加剂,可以对表面实施绝缘处理、高分散性处理等的各种表面处理。
作为表面覆盖层6中的添加剂的含量,没有特别限制,可以列举优选0.05~1.0质量%左右、更优选0.1~0.5质量%左右。
作为形成表面覆盖层6的方法,没有特别限制,例如可以列举将形成表面覆盖层6的双液固化型树脂涂布在聚酯膜1的一个表面上的方法。在配合添加剂时,可以在将添加剂添加于双液固化型树脂中并混合后,进行涂布。
作为表面覆盖层6的厚度,只要能够发挥作为表面覆盖层6的上述的功能,就没有特别限制,例如可以列举0.5~10μm、优选1~5μm。
3.电池用包装材料的制造方法
对于本发明的电池用包装材料的制造方法,只要可以得到将规定的组成的各层叠层而成的叠层体,就没有特别限制。作为电池用包装材料的制造方法,例如可以列举如下的方法:包括至少将聚酯膜、阻隔层和热熔接性树脂层依次叠层而得到叠层体的工序,作为聚酯膜,使用如下的聚酯膜:在利用傅立叶变换红外分光法的全反射法,在上述聚酯膜的表面上,从0°至180°每隔10°取得18个方向的红外吸收光谱时,该红外吸收光谱的1340cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1340与1410cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1410的比(Y1340/Y1410)的最大值Ymax与最小值Ymin的比(表面取向度:Ymax/Ymin)处于1.4~2.7的范围。
作为本发明的电池用包装材料的制造方法的一个例子,如下所述。首先,形成聚酯膜1、粘接剂层2、阻隔层3依次叠层而成的叠层体(以下,有时也标记为“叠层体A”)。具体而言,叠层体A的形成可以利用如下的干式层压法进行:利用凹版涂布法、辊涂法等涂布方法在聚酯膜1上或根据需要对表面实施了化学法表面处理的阻隔层3上涂布用于形成粘接剂层2的粘接剂,干燥后,将该阻隔层3或聚酯膜1叠层,使粘接剂层2固化。
接着,将粘接层5和热熔接性树脂层4依次叠层于叠层体A的阻隔层3上。例如可以列举:(1)通过将粘接层5和热熔接性树脂层4共挤出而叠层于叠层体A的阻隔层3上的方法(共挤出层压法);(2)另外形成粘接层5和热熔接性树脂层4叠层而成的叠层体,利用热层压法将该叠层体叠层于叠层体A的阻隔层3上的方法;(3)在叠层体A的阻隔层3上,将用于形成粘接层5的粘接剂通过挤出法或溶液涂布后在高温下干燥、进而烘烤的方法等来进行叠层,并利用热层压法将预先制成片状的热熔接性树脂层4叠层于该粘接层5上的方法;(4)在叠层体A的阻隔层3与预先制成片状的热熔接性树脂层4之间,一边流入熔融的粘接层5,一边利用粘接层5使叠层体A与热熔接性树脂层4贴合的方法(夹层层压法)等。
设置表面覆盖层6时,在聚酯膜1的与阻隔层3相反的一侧的表面叠层表面覆盖层6。例如,通过将形成表面覆盖层6的上述的树脂涂布于聚酯膜1的表面,能够形成表面覆盖层6。其中,在聚酯膜1的表面叠层阻隔层3的工序和在聚酯膜1的表面叠层表面覆盖层6的工序的顺序没有特别限制。例如,可以在聚酯膜1的表面形成表面覆盖层6后,在聚酯膜1的与表面覆盖层6相反的一侧的表面形成阻隔层3。
利用上述的操作,形成由根据需要设置的表面覆盖层6/聚酯膜1/根据需要设置的粘接剂层2/根据需要对表面实施了化学法表面处理的阻隔层3/粘接层5/热熔接性树脂层4构成的叠层体,为了使粘接剂层2或粘接层5的粘接性变得牢固,可以进一步供于热辊接触式、热风式、近红外线式或远红外线式等的加热处理。作为这样的加热处理的条件,例如可以列举以150~250℃左右加热1~5分钟左右。
在本发明的电池用包装材料中,为了提高制膜性、叠层化加工、最终制品2次加工(制袋化、压花成型)适应性等或使其稳定化,构成叠层体的各层可以根据需要实施电晕放电处理、喷砂处理、氧化处理、臭氧处理等的表面活化处理。
4.电池用包装材料的用途
本发明的电池用包装材料在用于密封并收纳正极、负极、电解质等电池元件的包装体中使用。即,能够将至少具有正极、负极和电解质的电池元件收纳在由本发明的电池用包装材料形成的包装体中而形成电池。
具体而言,利用本发明的电池用包装材料,将至少具有正极、负极和电解质的电池元件以与上述正极和负极分别连接的金属端子向外侧突出的状态、以在电池元件的周缘能够形成凸缘部(热熔接性树脂层彼此接触的区域)的方式覆盖,将上述凸缘部的热熔接性树脂层彼此热封而使其密封,由此提供使用了电池用包装材料的电池。其中,将电池元件收纳在由本发明的电池用包装材料形成的包装体中时,以本发明的电池用包装材料的热熔接性树脂部分成为内侧(与电池元件接触的面)的方式形成包装体。
本发明的电池用包装材料在一次电池、二次电池中均可使用,优选为二次电池。对于本发明的电池用包装材料所适用的二次电池的种类,没有特别限制,例如可以列举锂离子电池、锂离子聚合物电池、铅蓄电池、镍-氢蓄电池、镍-镉蓄电池、镍-铁蓄电池、镍-锌蓄电池、氧化银-锌蓄电池、金属空气电池、多价阳离子电池、电容器(condenser)、电容器(capacitor)等。在这些二次电池中,作为本发明的电池用包装材料的优选的适用对象,可以列举锂离子电池和锂离子聚合物电池。
5.聚酯膜
本发明的聚酯膜是为了在电池用包装材料中使用而使用的聚酯膜。本发明的聚酯膜的特征在于,在利用傅立叶变换红外分光法的全反射法,在上述聚酯膜的表面上,从0°至180°每隔10°取得18个方向的红外吸收光谱时,该红外吸收光谱的1340cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1340与1410cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1410的比(Y1340/Y1410)的最大值Ymax与最小值Ymin的比(表面取向度:Ymax/Ymin)处于1.4以上2.7以下的范围。本发明的聚酯膜的具体构成与上述“2.形成电池用包装材料的各层[聚酯膜1]”的栏所记载的构成相同。
实施例
以下,例示实施例和比较例对本发明进行详细说明。但本发明并不限定于实施例。
实施例1-7和比较例1-3
<电池用包装材料的制造>
利用干式层压法,分别在拉伸聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯膜上叠层由对两个表面实施化学法表面处理而形成有耐酸性覆膜的铝箔(JISH4160:1994A8021H-O)构成的阻隔层。具体而言,在铝箔的一个表面涂布双液固化型聚氨酯粘接剂(多元醇化合物和芳香族异氰酸酯系化合物),在阻隔层上形成粘接剂层(厚度3μm)。接着,将阻隔层上的粘接剂层和聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯膜叠层后,实施熟化处理,由此制作拉伸聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯膜/粘接剂层/阻隔层的叠层体。其中,如下所述地进行作为阻隔层使用的铝箔的化学法表面处理:利用辊涂法,以铬的涂布量成为10mg/m2(干燥质量)的方式,将由酚醛树脂、氟化铬化合物和磷酸形成的处理液涂布于铝箔的两个表面并进行烘烤。
接着,在所得到的叠层体的阻隔层上,将作为粘接层的马来酸酐改性聚丙烯和作为热熔接性树脂层的无规聚丙烯共挤出,由此在阻隔层上叠层粘接层/热熔接性树脂层。接着,通过将所得到的叠层体熟化并加热,得到拉伸聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯膜、粘接剂层、阻隔层、粘接层、热熔接性树脂层依次叠层而成的电池用包装材料。电池用包装材料的层构成、各层的厚度如表1所示。

<表面取向度的测定>
在叠层于电池用包装材料的拉伸聚酯膜表面和用于叠层的拉伸聚酯膜单层表面,分别利用傅立叶变换红外分光法(FT-IR)的全反射法(ATR),从0°至180°每隔10°取得18个方向的红外吸收光谱,算出该红外吸收光谱的1340cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1340(CH2纵摇振动)与1410cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1410(C=C伸缩振动)的比(Y1340/Y1410)的最大值Ymax与最小值Ymin的比(表面取向度:Ymax/Ymin)。红外吸收光谱的具体的测定条件如下所述。将结果示于表2。

<双折射率的测定>
使用相位差测定装置(王子计测机器公司制造的KOBRA-WR),测定聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯膜的双折射率。测定波长为550nm,入射角设为10度。用于计算双折射率的聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯膜的厚度是使用千分尺(Mitutoyo公司制造的Digimatic Micrometer)测得的值。另外,用于计算双折射率的聚酯膜的平均折射率设为假定值1.6200。将结果示于表2。
<成型性的评价>
将上述得到的各电池用包装材料裁切成长度(z方向)150mm、宽度(x方向)100mm的长方形而形成试验样品。对于该样品,使用具有30mm(x方向)、50mm(z方向)口径的矩形状的成型模具(阴模,表面的JIS B 0659-1:2002附属文件1(参考)比较用表面粗糙度标准片的表2所规定的最大高度粗糙度(Rz的公称值)为3.2μm)和与其相对应的成型模具(阳模,表面的JIS B 0659-1:2002附属文件1(参考)比较用表面粗糙度标准片的表2所规定的最大高度粗糙度(Rz的公称值)为1.6μm),从0.5mm的成型深度开始以0.5mm为单位改变成型深度,以按压压力(表面压力)0.9MPa分别对10个样品进行冷轧成型(引入1段成型)。此时,以热熔接性树脂层侧位于阳模侧的方式,将上述试验样品载置于阴模上进行成型。另外,将阳模和阴模的间隙设为0.5mm。对于冷轧成型后的样品,将全部10个样品中铝箔均不产生针孔、裂纹的最深的成型深度作为Amm,将铝箔产生了针孔等的最浅的成型深度中产生了针孔等的样品的数量作为B个,将利用以下的式子算出的值作为电池用包装材料的极限成型深度。将结果示于表2。
极限成型深度=Amm+(0.5mm/10个)×(10个-B个)
<成型后的卷曲的评价>
裁切上述得到的各电池用包装材料,制作长度(z方向)150mm、宽度(x方向)100mm的短片,将其作为试验样品。接着,使用成型性的评价中使用的成型模具,以热熔接性树脂层侧位于阳模侧的方式,将上述试验样品载置于阴模上,以成型深度成为6mm的方式,以0.1MPa的按压压力(表面压力)按压该试验样品,进行冷轧成型(引入1段成型)。进行成型的位置的详细情况如图5所示。如图6所示,在矩形状的成型部M与电池用包装材料10的端部P的距离d=75mm的位置成型。接着,如图6所示,将成型后的电池用包装材料10置于水平面20,将水平面20至端部P的垂直方向y的距离的最大值t作为发生了卷曲的部分的最大高度(成型卷曲(mm))。将结果示于表2。

其由至少具有阻隔层、位于所述阻隔层的一个表面侧的热熔接性树脂层和位于所述阻隔层的另一个表面侧的聚酯膜的叠层体构成,
在利用傅立叶变换红外分光法的全反射法,在所述聚酯膜的表面上,从0°至180°每隔10°取得18个方向的红外吸收光谱时,该红外吸收光谱的1340cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1340与1410cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1410的比(Y1340/Y1410)的最大值Ymax与最小值Ymin的比(表面取向度:Ymax/Ymin)处于1.4以上2.7以下的范围。

8.一种聚酯膜在电池用包装材料中的用途,其特征在于:
该聚酯膜为如下的聚酯膜:在利用傅立叶变换红外分光法的全反射法,在聚酯膜的表面上,从0°至180°每隔10°取得18个方向的红外吸收光谱时,该红外吸收光谱的1340cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1340与1410cm-1的吸收峰强度Y1410的比(Y1340/Y1410)的最大值Ymax与最小值Ymin的比(表面取向度:Ymax/Ymin)处于1.4以上2.7以下的范围。
