技术领域
本发明涉及紫外反应器,更具体地涉及具有提供活塞流的预定孔洞模式的隔板。
背景技术
紫外(UV)反应器可用于通过实施细菌无害化或激发氧化剂以减少总有机碳(TOC)来消毒水。在某些申请中,UV反应器包括隔板,其对进水提供活塞流以最大化水对UV辐射的暴露时间。活塞流可被定义为以很小的速度范围穿过容器整个横截面的流动。然而,由于隔板的设计,很多可用的反应器并不能得到所需要的活塞流。
图1描述了显示传统反应器的流动矢量的计算流体动力学(CFD)研究。结合传统反应器的选定要素来描述图1。水10进入进口管12并且以远高于目标活塞流速度的速度流过UV室14。由于反应器的结构,水沿着槽16的侧面流动,随后通过出口管18排出。沿着槽16的侧壁流动是不希望的,因为这具有造成短路路径的强烈趋势,如图1中的箭头20所示。短路路径可被定义为以远高于期望的活塞流速度的速度穿过UV室14的通路。因此,UV室14中的大部分水没有接受到足够的UV能量。
图1中,区域A,B,C和D分别描绘了存在于传统反应器中的高于约14.25,0.75,0.75和3.75in/s的速度,从而表明不存在所需要的活塞流。此外,已经确定传统反应器可具有超过7in/s的速度分布图,其被认为是UV反应器不需要的高流速。
发明内容

在一个实施例中,本发明涉及在UV反应器中提供满足活塞流要求的流动的新型隔板结构。参见图2,显示了与当前实施例相一致的UV反应器22。反应器22包括容器24(如局部横截面图所示)和彼此隔开的第一隔板26,第二隔板28和第三隔板30。第一隔板26和第三隔板30分别毗邻反应器22的进口端32和出口端34设置。进口端32和出口端34位于反应器22的相对端,并分别包括穹形部分36和端板35。第一隔板26,第二隔板28和第三隔板30包括多个孔洞38,如将要描述的,其以预定模式排布且大小适于控制流体流动。第一隔板26和穹形部分36形成第一室40。第一隔板26和第二隔板28形成第二室42。第二隔板28和第三隔板30限定UV室44。第三隔板30和端板35形成出口室46。
反应器22进一步包括接收进入第二室42中的水的进口管48和从出口室46排出水的出口管58。进口管48的第一进口部分50实质上垂直于反应器22的纵轴线52被定向。进口管48的第二进口部分55与纵轴线52被实质上共线地定向。替代的,第二进口部分55的取向可相对于纵轴线52成一定角度。第二进口部分55的角度可根据需要来调整。UV室44包括提供UV光的UV灯54。
参见图3,显示了涉及图2所述结构的计算流体动力学(CFD)研究中的流动矢量(等长)。图3所示的流动矢量结合了图2中选定的要素。运行时,进水流以选定速率,例如60英寸每秒(in/s)的速率进入第一进口部分50。来自第一进口部分50的进水流然后由第二进口部分55改向进入第一室40,并且流向穹形部分36。这用于分散进水的动能的一部分。沿进水路径设置附加隔板56,以进一步分散进水的动能。附加隔板56的尺寸可小于第一隔板26,第二隔板28和第三隔板30。然后水由穹形部分36改向,穿过第一隔板26中的孔洞38到达第二室42。
第二室42中,由于第一隔板26和第二隔板28中的孔洞38的尺寸和排布,使得水的流速降低,且水流在第一隔板26和第二隔板28之间平滑流动。特别的,第一隔板26包括多排孔洞,其被排布成使得孔洞38集中在相当紧密的圆形图样上,而如图2所示第二隔板28上的孔洞38被非常均匀地散布。第一隔板26中的孔洞38的尺寸较小,这使得第一隔板26的进口区域小于第二隔板28的进口区域。参见图3,这两个特征导致水漩涡58的形成,并沿第二室42构建了慢速扩展的交叉局部区域。如图3所示,该慢速扩展的交叉局部区域降低了水的流速,平滑了水的流动。
然后,水流入设置有UV灯54的UV室44。第二隔板28包括相对较大的均匀间隔的孔洞38。第二隔板28的孔洞38的结构使得流入UV室44的大部分水以相似的低速度流入,穿过实质上整个第二隔板28。这使得UV室44中的水在UV室44的绝大部分长度上实现活塞流60。
然后,水进入出口室46并从出口管58排出。如图3所示,第三隔板30包括孔洞减小模式,其有助于确保进入出口室46的流动以非常相似的速度进入第三隔板30的所有的孔洞38。能够具有类似的进入速度将确保靠近第三隔板的流动保持活塞流。图4为CFD模型,描述了反应器22的三维流动分布图,显示了超过0.6in/s的流动速度主要出现在进口端32和出口端34(区域F),但是大部分反应器22中的流动速度低于0.6in/s。
在另一实施例中,本发明涉及具有包括分流板的隔板结构的UV反应器。参见图5和6,UV反应器62包括容器64(如局部横截面视图所示)和隔开的分别毗邻反应器62的进口端70和出口端72的进口隔板66和出口隔板68。进口端62和出口端72位于反应器62的相对侧,并分别包括穹形部分67和端板73。进口隔板66和出口隔板68均包括多个孔洞74,如将要描述的,其以预定模式排布且大小适于控制流体流动。进口隔板66和穹形部分67形成进口室76。出口隔板68和端板73形成出口室78。进口隔板66和出口隔板68也形成UV室80,其包括提供UV光的UV灯82。
分流板84位于进口隔板66上(图6)。分流板84可包括螺杆以提供相对于隔板66的深度调节。分流板84的长度和宽度可以是进口管48大小的约1.5倍,但是应当理解可使用其他的尺寸。分流板84相对于进口隔板66成一定角度。在一个实施例中,分流板84相对于进口隔板66形成约120度角。在另一个实施例中,分流板84形成约87度角。当然也可根据需要使用其他角度。此外,分流板84可在容器64的大约中心处弯曲。在另一实施例中,分流板84从进口管48弯曲一段短距离。替代的,可调整分流板84的角度以在分流板84的端部和最近的UV灯之间提供足够的间隙。设置进口管48以使得水在反应器62的进口隔板66和穹形部分67之间进入容器64。
运行时,进水10进入进口管48,并且按实质上垂直于UV反应器62的纵轴线52的方向进入进口室76。进口流动然后由分流板84在进口室76中朝向穹形部分67改向。这用于分散进水的大部分动能,并且使水朝向进口隔板66改向。
侧边隔板86围绕进口隔板66的外边缘设置,通过闭合进口隔板66和UV反应器62的内壁88之间的间隙来阻止水沿着该内壁88流动。侧边隔板86用来阻止沿着内壁88的不需要的流动,因为这种流动具有造成前述的短路路径的强烈趋势。在一个实施例中,使用三个侧边隔板86,但是应当理解可以使用不同尺寸的多于或少于三个的侧边隔板。可使用夹板90来将侧边隔板86附连到进口隔板66。
参见图7,显示了涉及图5和6中所述结构的CFD研究中的流动矢量(所有速度矢量没置为同样的长度设定)。结合图5和6中的选定要素展示了图7中的流动矢量,从而显示当前实施例的运行。进口隔板66中的孔洞74的排布和尺寸使得流入UV反应器62的水以非常相似的速度范围流动。由于穹形部分67的形状以及孔洞74的排布和尺寸,相对于进口管48来说,水主要穿过如图7所示进口隔板66的近端92和远端94进入UV室80。这形成了在靠近进口隔板66处会聚的两个流动(图7中的流动1和流动2),并在两个流动之间形成了水漩涡96。两个流动的扩张以及流动1和流动2之间的水漩涡可减小水的流速。由于流速减小,UV反应器62中的水在穿过UV反应器62大部分的长度上能够实现期望的活塞流(大约0.6in/s)(图7)。参见图8,显示了描述UV反应器62中的流动的三维视图的CFD研究。图8描述了超过1.5in/s的流动速度主要存在于进口室76和出口室78(分别是区域A和B)附近,但是在大部分UV室80中流动速度低于1.5in/s。
水然后流入出口室78,并通过出口管58排出。出口隔板68中的孔洞模式用来确保进入出口室78的流动以相似的速度进入出口隔板68的实质上全部孔洞74。这确保了靠近出口隔板68的流动保持为活塞流(图7)。

Claims (20)

1.一种处理流体的反应器,包括:
具有接收流体的进口和排出流体的出口的容器;
位于所述容器中的紫外光源;以及
位于所述容器中的第一、第二和第三隔板,用于分别形成第一、第二和第三室,其中所述的第一、第二和第三隔板包括以预定模式排布的孔洞以控制所述容器中的流体流动从而提供活塞流。
2.如权利要求1所述的反应器,其中所述容器包括用于分散进口流体的动能的穹形部分。
3.如权利要求1所述的反应器,其中所述第一隔板中的所述孔洞的尺寸小于所述第二和第三隔板中的孔洞的尺寸。
4.如权利要求1所述的反应器,其中所述第二隔板中的所述孔洞的尺寸比所述第一和第三隔板中的孔洞的尺寸相对较大且均匀间隔。
