技术领域
在特定的实施方案中,本发明涉及使用高频、低能的超声波来处理切削液(cutting fluid)。在其它的特殊实施方案中,本发明涉及使用高频、低能的超声波来处理润湿液(fountain solution)。
背景技术
人们通常使用切割工具对金属和其它硬质材料进行切割,从而得到所需的形状、尺寸或表面的工件。当切割这些硬质材料时,摩擦热可能灼烧切割工具,并使得工件的加工面变得粗糙。另外,热膨胀会降低工件和工具的形状和尺寸的精确度,从而导致其它各种问题。为了帮助缓解上述问题,在切割过程中通常使用切削液。
在切割金属和其它硬质材料时,通常将油来作为切削液来使用。使用纯粹的油作为切削液的一个缺点在于,它通常必须在温度较低时使用,这是因为较高的温度可能导致火花和烟雾的产生。为了帮助克服这一问题,具有足够润滑和冷却特性的油水乳状切削液可作为切削液来使用。
不幸的是,切削液,尤其是基于水的切削液,容易受到细菌和其它微生物繁殖的影响。细菌群体通常会产生难闻的气味,使得切削液变质,以及严重的健康危害。一般来说,切削液中会产生两类细菌:需氧的,它们在存在氧气的情况下繁殖;以及厌氧的,它们在没有氧气的情况下繁殖。尽管厌氧型细菌通过硫化氢的形成而产生难闻的气味,但是它们通常不会对切削液本身产生实际的损害。然而,需氧型细菌会严重损害液体,产生腐蚀抑止以及润滑度的降低。另外,“吃(eat)”切削液浓缩物的细菌生命周期还会导致各种酸和盐沉积。这可能导致移动的机械部件和被加工的材料的大幅生锈和腐蚀。
为了防止这些附带的问题,在切削液中加入抗微生物剂。然而实际上,这些制剂作用有限。除了花费更多的金钱以外,对可加入到切削液中的抗微生物剂的剂量也有限制。另外,这些制剂通常作用不大,时间长了会变质,并且更换它们可能很昂贵。此外,这些制剂和物质通常会降低切削液的质量。
因此,现有技术中需要有效和全新的处理切削液的方法,可提供在时间上的一致保护或基本一致的保护,而不需要使用大量的抗微生物剂。
本文的教导的其它特殊实施方案涉及对印刷系统中使用的润湿液进行处理。通常,平版印刷(offset lithographic printing)采用将墨通过橡皮滚筒传输到基底从而形成印刷图案的平版印刷板。该板之所以称为平版印刷板是因为图案和非图案区域在同一平面内。板上接收墨的图案区域不同于非图案区域,图案区域是亲脂的(对油具有亲和力),而非图案区域是亲水的(接收水)。
通常,平版印刷板覆盖有防止墨覆盖板的非图案区域的润湿液薄膜。更具体地,润湿液通过增加印刷板的非图案区域的亲水性来帮助保持这些非图案区域。
不幸地是,润湿液通常为微生物的繁殖提供了合适的媒介。例如,这些有害的微生物可包括细菌、藻类、霉菌等。为解决这一问题,可在润湿液中添加杀菌剂或有毒的抗微生物剂。
尽管添加到润湿液浓缩物的抗微生物剂可对储存和装运的产品提供保护,但它们在稀释后的有效性受到限制。甚至在稀释状态下,一些抗微生物剂就成为皮肤敏化剂,据报道较高的剂量可导致皮肤过敏和其它的皮肤病。
为避免使用有毒的抗微生物剂,人们考虑使用UV来对润湿液中的微生物进行控制。典型的UV处理包括通过细胞融解酶方法(lyticprocess)来杀死微生物,其中,细胞膜和细胞组分被分解。尽管UV光可在相对清洁的水中产生些许作用,但是,当溶液很脏或是包含大量混合物时,UV光的有效性将下降。发生这种有效性的下降通常是因为溶液中的这些额外的混合物吸收大量的UV能量。另外,使用UV射线可在化学上或是物理上改变润湿液,例如,对它的预定目的产生副作用。
在第6,503,449号美国专利中,Smith公开了用高能、低频的超声波来处理基于水的悬浮液。除了需要高能量以外,这一方法依赖于使用有毒的抗微生物剂来处理悬浮液。
因而,现有技术中需要处理润湿液的有效、低能、高频的方法,该方法不使用或是有限使用有毒的抗微生物剂,并且不会危害润湿液的有效性。此外,需要提供一种能够对整个润湿液系统内的微生物进行控制的处理,并且该处理能够提供在时间上基本一致的保护。
发明内容
根据本发明的一个方面,提供了一种处理润湿液的方法,包括:从印刷板收集润湿液;使所述润湿液暴露于具有100kHz或更高频率的超声波,同时将气体微泡注入到超声波场中,其中上述处理不会使所述切削液的pH值变差;以及再循环所述润湿液。
根据本发明的另一个方面,提供了一种用于减少润湿液中存活的微生物的装置,所述装置包括:印刷板;隔间,用于容纳润湿液的储存装置;超声波发射器,配置成将频率大于100kHz的超声波信号发射到所述隔间中;气体微泡发射器,配置成将具有小于1毫米的平均直径的气体微泡发射到包含所述润湿液的所述隔间中的超声波场中,其中上述处理不会使所述切削液的pH值变差;以及循环系统,配置成用于将润湿液传输到所述隔间,并使所述润湿液返回到所述印刷板。

详细说明
第一部分:用于处理切削液的装置和方法
本文的教导部分地针对能抑制、防止切削液中生长微生物、并且去除在其中出现的微生物的装置和方法。在另外的实施方案中,本文提供的装置和方法可对例如可能包含微生物的切削液进行处理。
由于微生物(例如细菌)的生长以及由机械加工而产生的污染,使得切削液随时间而变质。当通过规则的补充操作来维持切削液变得不太经济时,切削液通常会被抛弃。因此,本文的实施方案包括通过防止由微生物导致的变质来延长切削液的使用寿命。在另外的实施方案中,当切削液变质到丧失效用时,本文的方法可用于使得切削液在被抛弃(例如,将切削液倒入下水道系统)之前达到安全水平(抑止微生物的繁殖)。
装置和方法
本文所描述的装置的实施方案可在Cordemans等的第10/358445号的美国申请和第6,540,922号的美国申请中找到,这两个申请的全部内容通过引用而合并到本发明中。可使用本文公开的装置来实现对切削液进行处理的方法。图1示出了利用可用于处理切削液的装置的一个特定的实施方案。在某些实施方案中,待处理的切削液可包含微生物,这些微生物包括例如细菌、病毒、真菌、原生生物等。
参照图1,本文描述的装置可包括隔间(compartment)2,优选地,具有柱状或矩形截面的形状。在另外的实施方案中,隔间2可与保存待处理的切削液的储存装置(未示出)相连通。术语“储存装置(reservoir)”可宽泛地解释,通常涉及容纳切削液的装置。在特定的实施方案中,本文提供的装置通过油箱(sump)连接(例如,经过侧流),以对切削液进行再循环。在另外的实施方案中,本文提供的装置未与储存装置连通,而是直接连接到待处理的切削液。
在另外的实施方案中,隔间2包括(例如,沿着其壁)一个或多个高频超声波发射器1,其将超声波4发射到隔间2中(优选地,进入隔间2的中心)。在另一个实施方案中,该容器还可包括一个或多个微泡发射器3,用来发射气体微泡5,这些微泡发射器设置成可将气体微泡5发射到隔间2中所发射的超声波4的场中。
本文所用的术语“微泡(microbubble)”旨在表示平均直径小于1毫米的气泡。在一些实施方案中,该直径可小于或等于50微米。在其它的实施方案中,微泡具有小于约30微米的直径。在一些实施方案中,微泡可选自空气微泡、氧气微泡和臭氧微泡。为降低操作成本,使用例如空气微泡而不使用臭氧微泡可能是有利的。
术语“microorganism(微生物)”的缩写是microbe,通常涉及病原或非病原微生物,可对切削工具(例如机器、工具等)、人类、哺乳动物或其它动物产生有害影响。这样的微生物例如可包括需氧和厌氧细菌(例如,耶尔森氏杆菌、葡萄状球菌、大肠杆菌、绿脓杆菌、食油吸毛杆菌、副大肠菌、普通变形杆菌、肺炎杆菌、微球菌(Micrococcus pyogenes)、产气杆菌、柠檬酸杆菌、无色菌)、病毒(例如,HIV、HCV、HBV)、真菌(镰刀霉、假头状孢子头、芽枝霉属、曲霉菌)、原生生物(例如,霉菌、藻类)等等。
在特定的实施方案中,本文的方法和装置包括用以处理切削液的低能、高频的超声波。术语“高频”用于表示频率高于200kHz并可达到数兆赫兹的频率。在一些实施方案中,所使用的高频介于200kHz和10MHz之间。在其它一些方面,高频可介于200kHz和20MHz之间。在各种其它的实施方案中,高频可介于800kHz(此时可获得较少的自由基效应(radical effect)和较多的生物效应)和5MHz之间。在另一实施方案中,所使用的频率介于1MHz和3MHz之间。更具体地,该频率可为约1.8MHz。
本文描述的方法和装置的各种实施方案中,用于发射气体微泡5的微泡发射器3设置在隔间2的底座11处(即,隔间2的底部),这样微泡可通过自然地上升或通过切削液的流动之中空气的带动而移动。
在另外的实施方案中,本文提供的装置和方法抑止、处理或阻止切削液中微生物的生长。尽管这里的教导绝对不会受到它们精确作用机制的影响,但在更多的特定实施方案中,本文提供的装置可产生类似H·、OH·和HOO·的基团。这些基团还可伴随基团而形成H2O2,这对于微生物来说是有毒的,可导致它们失活和/或破坏。
所形成的物种被认为来自高频超声波作用于水分子的反应,很大程度上可能会导致以下反应(尤其在有水存在时):

有利地,如果本文所述的方法在有微泡存在时执行,则将降低形成这些有毒物种所需的能量。
最近,人们意识到,向超声波场中注射微泡会导致声致发光现象的增加,通过微泡和由超声波引起的空穴气泡相重叠,活跃的和有毒的物种数目将成倍的增加。当超声波处理与所存在的合适大小的微泡互相促进地结合时,可通过肉眼观察到这一现象。
在另外的实施方案中,本文提供的装置和方法具有无需将超声波专用于特定区域的有益效果,这是因为,通过观察可知,处理系统通过向待处理的切削液的储存装置就地扩散所形成的产物(例如,所形成的ROS(活性氧)、自由基和H2O2)来发挥作用。
在另外的实施方案中,本文所述装置中的一个或多个超声波发射器1设置成不会在实际中导致任意的驻波现象。举例来说,在一些实施方案中,一个或多个超声波发射器1可相对于隔间2的轴线9(与轴线9成锐角而不是垂直)以及相对于切削液的流动和微泡的流动倾斜设置(见图1)。这一特点使得隔间2中的所有微泡5能以统计一致的方式来处理,而不需要在隔间2内建立固定的区域。因而,本文的一些实施方案所用的装置和方法可提供在时间上一致的处理或基本一致的处理以及保护。
根据其它的实施方案,本文描述的装置和方法可包括光发射器12(即,电磁辐射发射器),它以主要位于可见光谱范围内的频率将辐射发送到超声波4的场内的隔间2中。然而,对于某些应用来说,为了消除某些特殊的微生物,将电磁辐射以不可见的频率发送可能是有利的,例如,紫外线(例如,UVA、UVB或UVC类型)、红外线、激光、微波等。
出乎意料的是,人们最近发现,包括向结合了超声波和光辐射的场中喷射微泡的处理对使得切削液中存在的微生物的失活和去除以及防止它们生长来说特别有效。声致冷光现象可促进极活跃氧化物的生成(通常称为ROS(活性氧)),例如,超氧自由基、·OH或单电键氧,这样可产生对于某些微生物来说极具毒性的一系列生化反应。
在不同实施方案中,本文的教导是专门针对这样的装置,它们不需要额外的化学产品(例如,抗微生物剂、光敏剂)就能抑制或防止切削液中微生物生长。在另外的实施方案中,本文的方法和装置可结合额外的化学制剂来使用。
在另外的实施方案中,本文描述的装置和方法可包括用于使得切削液再循环的泵或其它装置,以及用于恢复存在于切削液中的微生物的装置。用于恢复微生物的装置非排它地包括用于过滤、离心分离和沉淀的设备(例如旋流器等)。在一些实施方案中,用于恢复的泵和/或装置设置在容纳待处理的切削液的储存装置和隔间2之间。
在一些实施方案中,本文提供的装置可连接到切削液分配器和/或切削液收集系统(例如沟渠或油箱)。例如,图2表示再循环切削液系统21,该系统包括连接到切削液分配器20和切削液收集装置22的超声波/微泡处理装置。在另外的实施方案中,待处理的切削液可通过人工方式施加到工具的切削区24,或者以喷雾方式输送。在特定的实施方案中,切削液以连续流的形式来分配,由泵输送并通过喷嘴26引导至加工工具的切削刃28,或者通过工具完成上述操作,在工作完成后将加工材料碎片或碎屑带走。在其它的实施方案中,根据特殊应用所需,可使用多个液体喷嘴的设计。在另外的实施方案中,分配系统20可用来控制切削液的流量和流动压力。在其它的实施方案中,切削液可储藏在再循环系统21中。可与本文的装置一起使用的切削液分配器的非排它性实施方案在Ripley的第6,450,738号美国专利和Kanebako等的第4,514,149号美国专利中公开,这两个专利的全部内容通过引用而合并到本发明中。

在一些特殊的实施方案中,如上所述并如图4所示的实施方案,本文所述的方法和装置可用来对辊轧成形(roll forming)系统中使用的液体进行处理,例如冷轧润滑油(rolling oil)乳状液。在更多的特定实施方案中,本文的教导可用于对铝辊轧中使用的冷轧润滑油乳状液进行处理。通过本文的方法和装置来处理冷轧润滑油乳状液不会使液体的润滑特性或pH值变差。另外,本文的教导防止难闻气味的加重,并防止生物废料阻塞系统内的过滤器。在优选的实施方案中,本文所述的方法和装置可对温度介于35℃-60℃之间的冷轧润滑油乳状液进行处理。
在某些实施方案中,本文提供的方法和装置可对特定切削工具所使用的各种切削液进行处理,而不用考虑切割工具是否使用了一种或多种类型的切削液,或连接到一个或多个切削液储存装置。
本文的方法和装置可用来对现有或是将来才有的任何合适类型的的切削液进行处理。术语“切削液”可宽泛地解释,通常涉及在切割诸如金属等的硬质材料中作为润滑剂、冷却剂、抗焊剂或阻蚀剂而使用的液体。在某些实施方案中,术语“切割液”包括金属加工液(MWF)。在其它的实施方案中,术语“切削液”包括用来处理、操作或是切割其它硬质材料的液体,这类硬质材料例如为:玻璃、陶瓷、碳化物、矿物、陶器、钻石和其它宝石、塑胶等。
基于上述功能,切削液的使用例如可延长工具的寿命,降低工件的热变形,获得较好的表面光洁度,并便于处理碎片和碎屑等。
实际上,任何切削液(包括以下三种普通类型的切削液,即溶性油、半合成液和合成液)可与本文描述的装置和方法一起使用。
在某些实施方案中,本文的方法和装置可用来处理合成切削液。合成切削液通常不包含石油或矿物油基,而是由碱性无机或有机化合物配制。合成切削液可包括合成碳氢化合物、有机酯、聚乙二醇、磷酸酯、有机或无机盐以及以及其它合成润滑液。此外,合成切削液可包括添加剂,例如抑制腐蚀的制剂。合成液通常以稀释的形式使用。例如,每份合成浓缩液可用9-41、10-40、11-40、11-39、10-35和10-30份的水来稀释。合成液通常提供所有切削液中最好的冷却性能,但通常无法提供最佳的润滑作用。
在另外的实施方案中,本文的方法和装置可用来处理溶性油切削液。尽管在整个业界得到使用,但是术语“溶性油”是典型的用词不当,这是因为其组分通常是不溶解于水的。溶性油通常是混有乳化剂和/或其它添加剂的“油”(例如矿物油和石油),当将其添加了水并搅拌时,可形成油水(oil-in-water)乳状液。例如,该乳状液使得水的良好冷却特性能够用于金属加工过程,而油和其它的添加剂可提供润滑和抑制腐蚀的特性。通常,浓缩液包括基础矿物油和一种或多种乳化剂,以帮助产生稳定的乳状液。含脂过多的乳状液通常通过添加脂肪油、脂肪酸或酯而产生。举例来说,特压乳状液可包括例如氯、氯化石蜡、硫磺、磷等。
通常,溶性油切削液可提供良好的润滑和热传导性能。另外,溶性油切削液在工业上广泛使用,并且通常在所有切削液中价格最便宜。溶性油切削液通常还被称为基于水的油、基于水的溶性油、基于水的乳化油、乳化油、水溶性油等。
溶性油切削液中的油通常是被稀释的。举例来说,在某些实施方案中,油在切削液中的比例为3%、4%、5%、6%、7%、8%、9%或10%。在某些实施方案中,在溶性油切削液中使用的水是去离子或软化的。在其它的实施方案中,所使用的水可包括约70-140、80-125或90-115ppm的碳酸钙。
在其它的实施方案中,本文的方法和装置可用来处理半合成切削液。半合成切削液通常涉及合成物和溶解油的混合液,并具有二者共有的性质。半合成液的成本和热传导性能通常介于合成液和溶性油液之间。
根据将由本文的方法进行处理的切削液的具体类型,切削液可包含水、油和一种或多种乳化剂、螯合剂、耦合剂、粘度指数改进剂、清洁剂、增塑剂(plasticizer)、抗雾剂(anti-mist agent)、抗焊剂、油性剂、表面活性润湿剂(surfactant wetting agent)、分散剂,钝化剂、消泡剂、碱储量(alkaline reserve)、染色剂、添味剂、阻蚀剂、特压添加剂、润滑增强剂(lubricity enhancer)、清洁剂、开孔复合物(tapping compound)、指纹中和剂(fingerprint neutralizer)或任何其它合适的添加剂。

在其它的实施方案中,由本文描述的方法和装置处理的切削液可用于对硬质材料的切削和处理,除了金属以外,这些硬质材料包括但不限于:玻璃、陶瓷、碳化物、矿物、陶器、钻石和其它宝石、塑胶等。
在另外的实施方案中,本文的装置和方法可结合一种或多种其它防止微生物繁殖的方法来使用。这些方法例如可包括:离心分离、过滤、通风(aerating)、清理油箱、维持适当的切削液浓度、清除表面积油(surface tramp oil)以及添加抗微生物剂。因此,在某些实施方案中,本文的装置和方法涉及在一种或多种上述处理方法或其它抗菌剂处理方法操作之前、之中或之后应用高频超声波。
第二部分:用于处理润湿液的装置和方法
在单独的实施方案中,本文的教导提供了用于对印刷系统中使用的润湿液进行处理的装置和方法。胶印是基于这样一种原理的方法,即,印刷板的图案区域(也称为印刷区域)接受墨,而非图案区域(也称为非印刷区域或背景)排斥墨。使用胶印,覆盖有墨的图案最终转移到诸如纸的基底,从而制作出与板上的图案相对应的图案。
通常,术语“润湿液”也称为“潮湿液(dampening fluid)”,其涉及应用于印刷板表面的溶液,从而使得板的非图案区域排斥墨,而使得图案区域接受墨。润湿液还可用于在印刷开始时快速地将墨从非图案区域清除、促进水在印刷板表面的快速扩散、帮助水通过润版辊(dampening roller)均匀流过、润滑印刷板和橡皮布(blanket)或者控制墨和水的乳化作用等等。
参照图3,印刷系统中的润湿液通常收集在一个或多个润湿液储存装置(一般称为托盘32)中。通常,位于托盘32内的一个或多个辊38可将润湿液从托盘32向印刷板34输送。在润湿液输送到印刷板34后,墨辊36将墨输送到印刷板34。循环系统30通常用于使润湿液从托盘32的润湿液出口再循环至油箱,然后通过润湿液的入口回到印刷系统的托盘。驱动润湿液从润湿液托盘到达油箱的通常方法是重力自流进料或重力辅助进料,而泵使得润湿液从油箱回到印刷系统的润湿液托盘。
对于润湿液的常见问题是,它们随时间而变质,这一部分取决于微生物的生长和由于机械加工的污染。当常规的补充操作对于维护润解液来说已变得不太经济时,润湿液通常会被抛弃。
因此,本文的教导部分地针对能够抑制、防止润湿液中的微生物生长以及消除它们的装置和方法。更具体的,本文的实施方案包括,通过防止由微生物造成的变质来延长润湿液的使用寿命。在另外的实施方案中,当润湿液变质到失去其效用时,本文所述方法可在抛弃润湿液之前使其达到安全水平(抑止微生物的繁殖)。
方法和装置
本文所提供的装置的实施方案可在Cordemans的第10/358445号美国申请和第6,540,922号美国申请中找到,这两个申请的全部内容通过引用而合并到本发明中。处理润湿液的方法可与本文公开的装置一起来实现。图1示出可用于处理润湿液的装置的特定实施方案。在某些实施方案中,待处理的润湿液可包含微生物,例如包括细菌、病毒、真菌、原生生物等。
参照图1,本文描述的装置可包括隔间2,优选地,具有柱状或矩形截面的形状。在另外的实施方案中,隔间2可与保存待处理的润湿液的储存装置(未示出)相连通。术语“储存装置”可宽泛地解释,通常涉及容纳润湿液的装置。在特定的实施方案中,本文提供的装置通过连接(例如,经过侧流)到润湿液分配、供应、收集、混合或循环系统。在另外的实施方案中,本文提供的装置未与储存装置连通,而是直接连接到待处理的润湿液。
在其它的实施方案中,隔间2包括(例如,沿着其壁)一个或多个高频超声波发射器1,其将超声波4发射到隔间2中,优选地,进入隔间2的中心。在另一个实施方案中,该容器还可包括一个或多个微泡发射器3,用来发射气体微泡5,这些微泡发射器设置成可将气体微泡5发射到隔间2中所发射的超声波4的场中。
本文所用的术语“微泡”旨在表示平均直径小于1毫米的气泡。在一些实施方案中,该直径可小于或等于50微米。在其它的实施方案中,微泡具有小于约30微米的直径。在一些实施方案中,微泡可选自空气微泡、氧气微泡和臭氧微泡。为降低操作成本,使用例如空气微泡而不使用臭氧微泡可能是有利的。
术语“microorganism”的缩写是microbe,通常涉及病原或非病原微生物,可对印刷系统(例如,润湿液、印刷板、机器、工具)、人类、哺乳动物或其它动物产生有害影响。这样的微生物例如可包括需氧和厌氧细菌(例如,耶尔森氏杆菌、葡萄状球菌、大肠杆菌、绿脓杆菌、食油吸毛杆菌、副大肠菌、普通变形杆菌、肺炎杆菌、微球菌、产气杆菌、柠檬酸杆菌、无色菌)、病毒(例如,HIV、HCV、HBV)、真菌(镰刀霉、假头状孢子头、芽枝霉属、曲霉菌)、原生生物(例如,霉菌、藻类)等等。
在特定的实施方案中,本文的方法和装置包括用以处理润湿液的低能、高频的超声波。术语“高频”用于表示频率高于200kHz并可达到数兆赫兹的频率。在一些实施方案中,所使用的高频介于200kHz和10MHz之间。在其它一些方面,高频可介于200kHz和20MHz之间。在各种其它的实施方案中,高频可介于800kHz(此时可获得较少的自由基效应和较多的生物效应)和5MHz之间。在另一实施方案中,所使用的频率介于1MHz和3MHz之间。更具体地,该频率可为约1.8MHz。
本文描述的方法和装置的各种实施方案中,用于发射气体微泡5的气体微泡发射器3设置在隔间2的底座11处(即,隔间2的底部),这样微泡可通过自然地上升或通过润湿液的流动之中空气的带动而移动。
在另外的实施方案中,本文描述的装置和方法可抑止、处理或阻止润湿液中微生物的生长。尽管这里的教导绝对不会受到它们精确作用机制的影响,但在更多的特定实施方案中,本文提供的装置可产生诸如ROO·、H·、OH·和HOO·的基团,这些基团可能形成H2O2。这些分子和/或这些基团对于微生物来说是有毒的,因而可导致它们失活和/或破坏。
所形成的物种被认为来自高频超声波作用于水分子的反应,很大程度上可能会导致以下反应(尤其在有水存在时):

有利地,如果本文所述的方法在有微泡存在时执行,则将降低形成这些有毒物种所需的能量。
最近,人们意识到,向超声波场中注射微泡会导致声致发光现象的增加,通过微泡和由超声波引起的空穴气泡相重叠,活跃的和有毒的物种数目将成倍的增加。当超声波处理与所存在的合适大小的微泡互相促进地结合时,可通过肉眼观察到这一现象。
在另外的实施方案中,本文提供的装置和方法具有无需将超声波专用于特定区域的有益效果,这是因为,通过观察可知,处理系统通过向待处理的润湿液的储存装置就地扩散所形成的产物(例如,所形成的ROS(活性氧)、自由基和H2O2)来发挥作用。
在另外的实施方案中,本文所述装置中的一个或多个超声波发射器1设置成不会在实际中导致任意的驻波现象。举例来说,在一些实施方案中,一个或多个超声波发射器可相对于隔间2的轴线9(与轴线9成锐角而不是垂直)以及相对于润湿液的流动和微泡的流动倾斜设置(见图1)。这一特点使得隔间2中的所有微泡5能以统计一致的方式来处理,而不需要在隔间2内建立固定的区域。因而,本文的一些实施方案所用的装置和方法可提供在时间上基本一致的处理以及保护。
根据其它的实施方案,本文描述的装置和方法可包括光发射器12(即,电磁辐射发射器),它以主要位于可见光谱范围内的频率将辐射发送到超声波4的场内的隔间2中。然而,对于某些应用来说,为了消除某些特殊的微生物,将电磁辐射以不可见的频率发送可能是有利的,例如,紫外线(例如,UVA、UVB或UVC类型)、红外线、激光、微波等。
出乎意料的是,人们最近发现,包括向结合了超声波和光辐射的场中喷射微泡的处理对使得润湿液中存在的微生物的失活和去除来说特别有效。声致冷光现象可促进极活跃氧化物的生成(通常称为ROS:活性氧),例如,超氧自由基、·OH或单电键氧,这样可产生对于某些微生物来说极具毒性的一系列生化反应。

新的环境意识及严格的处理规定需要系统对再循环的润湿液进行处理,使其保持相对较小的污染。举例来说,在许多地方,废弃的润湿液被划归到危险废料的类别。频繁废弃和更换润湿液的实践因而变得极其昂贵。因此,在另外的实施方案中,除了在重新利用之前处理润湿液之外,本文的方法和装置可用来使得润湿液适于丢弃,例如,符合政府的处理条例。

可以有限数量与本文所述方法一起使用的常规杀虫剂包括:Bromopol[1,3-丙二醇,2-溴-2-硝基]、各种异噻唑酮、戊二醛、苯甲酸钠、苯酚、6-乙酸基-2,4-二甲基间二噁烷、1,2-苯并异噻唑啉-3-酮、2-[(羟甲基)氨基]乙醇、甲醛、三烷基苄基型季铵盐等等。
在更多的特定实施方案中,本文提供的方法和装置可用来对在实际各种类型的胶印或基于水油非混合的印刷中使用的润湿液进行处理。在更多的特定实施方案中,本文的方法和装置可用来对在实际任何平版印刷系统中使用的润湿液进行处理。

Claims (9)
1.一种处理润湿液的方法,包括:
从印刷板收集润湿液;
使所述润湿液暴露于具有100kHz或更高频率的超声波,同时将气体微泡注入到超声波场中,其中上述处理不会使所述润湿液的pH值变差;以及
再循环所述润湿液。
2.一种用于减少润湿液中存活的微生物的装置,所述装置包括:
印刷板;
隔间,用于容纳润湿液的储存装置;
超声波发射器,配置成将频率大于100kHz的超声波信号发射到所述隔间中;
气体微泡发射器,配置成将具有小于1毫米的平均直径的气体微泡发射到包含所述润湿液的所述隔间中的超声波场中,其中上述处理不会使所述润湿液的pH值变差;以及
循环系统,配置成用于将润湿液传输到所述隔间,并使所述润湿液返回到所述印刷板。
3.根据权利要求2所述的装置,其中,所述气体微泡不是臭氧微泡。
4.根据权利要求2所述的装置,其中,所述气体微泡选自由空气和氧气微泡构成的组。
