本发明涉及一种向刀具外表面供应冷却流体的装置,该刀具通过夹紧螺母固定在机床的刀架上。
背景技术
一般而言,用于金属切削加工的机床都装有冷却润滑装置。这些装置将冷却流体输送到刀具的加工区域中。上述过程可通过设置于离刀具加工区域尽可能近的喷雾管或者通过贯穿机床主轴的冷却流体供应装置来实现。如果通过机床主轴供应冷却流体,冷却流体可通过刀具中的通道或通过刀具的外表面流到加工区域中。本发明涉及后一种解决方案,其中冷却流体从主轴的内部经刀架到刀柄处,并且从刀柄处沿着刀具外表面流入到加工区域中。
通过机床主轴和刀架供应给刀具外表面的冷却流体供应装置是已知的,例如WO84/03649或DE-A-19832793中所描述的装置。
显然实际上,经刀具外表面供应冷却流体不是最佳的可行方式,特别是在高速旋转时。
发明内容
因此,本发明的目的就是改进经刀具外部的供应冷却流体的方式。
为了达到所述目的,本发明提出了一种用于向刀柄外表面供应冷却流体的装置,该刀柄通过夹紧螺母夹持在机床的刀架上,其特征在于,该夹紧螺母具有导向元件,该导向元件由导向管构成,该导向管以限定一环形间隙的间隔围绕刀柄,且该导向管在机床侧形成有漏斗形的加宽部分,该加宽部分具有外缘,该外缘与夹紧螺母相连。
有利的是,该夹紧螺母可与导向元件一体连接。
通过本发明实现了上述目的,因为夹紧螺母具有导向元件,该导向元件包括导向管,该导向管与刀柄保持空隙的围绕在其周围,因而形成一环形间隙,该导向管在机床侧被加宽形成漏斗形,并且利用加宽边缘与夹紧螺母相连。

具体实施方式
参见图1,刀柄1按常规被装夹在套爪卡盘2的孔中,套爪卡盘2被固定在机床主轴3的支撑锥体中,并且又在支撑锥体中将夹紧螺母4旋入到主轴上来夹紧。夹紧螺母4是已知的带有嵌入式垫圈的夹紧螺母。导向元件5插入到夹紧螺母上位于刀具侧的前侧中。导向元件由朝外的导向管8构成,导向元件围绕着刀柄,并且在机床侧具有一漏斗形的加宽部分6,该加宽部分6具有安装在夹紧螺母的开口中的外缘7。导向管的内径大于刀柄的直径,因此,在刀柄和导向管之间的环形间隙9始终保持通畅。
通过在导向元件5的漏斗形区域中对冷却流体的压缩和随后由环形间隙9形成的通道的导向,使得冷却流体沿刀柄层流流动。在该实施方式中,根据刀柄的直径,可考虑将通道的轴向长度定为6-12mm。为了保证层流流动的冷却流体与导向管干净的分离,位于刀具侧的导向管的内缘不能有任何倒角或圆角。
根据本发明另一实施例,代替传统的夹紧螺母,其中导向元件代替了垫圈,导向元件一体地形成到夹紧螺母上。
导向元件的最佳尺寸取决于多种因素,并且将适合于各个情况,以便使冷却流体流体尽可能以层流方式流出导向管。例如,在刀柄直径为1-20mm,环形间隙宽度小于1mm,优选地约为0.4mm,环形间隙的轴向长度为6-12mm时,可以获得良好的效果。尺寸微小的变化同样仍可以产生良好的效果。

Claims (2)

1、一种用于向刀柄(1)外表面供应冷却流体的装置,该刀柄通过夹紧螺母(4)夹持在机床的刀架上,其特征在于,该夹紧螺母具有导向元件(5),该导向元件由导向管(8)构成,该导向管(8)以限定一环形间隙(9)的间隔围绕刀柄(1),且该导向管在机床侧形成有漏斗形的加宽部分(6),该加宽部分(6)具有外缘(7),该外缘与夹紧螺母相连。
2、如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于,该夹紧螺母(4)与导向元件(5)一体连接。
