本发明涉及润滑剂组合物的改进,更具体地涉及包含金刚石纳米颗粒的润滑剂组合物,该润滑剂组合物可应用于汽车内燃机或动力传动设备的滑动部分或滑动构件以显著降低摩擦系数。
背景技术
全球性环境问题如全球变暖和臭氧损耗正在引起人们注意。据说全球变暖显著地受到CO2排放的影响,因此减少CO2排放已引起我们极大的关注。为了减少CO2排放而提高车辆燃油经济是对此类问题的贡献之一。因此,已推进各种技术开发,例如减少内燃机机械损失的技术。
已提出下列方法以减少由于润滑油(或润滑剂)造成的机械损失:(1)降低润滑油的粘度,从而减少流体动力润滑区域内的粘滞阻力和发动机内的搅拌阻力;和(2)在润滑油中加入合适的摩擦改进剂和其它各种添加剂,从而减少混合和边界润滑条件下的摩擦损失。考虑到前面所述,已对各种摩擦改进剂进行研究,其主要包括有机钼化合物,如二硫代氨基甲酸钼(MoDTC)和二硫代磷酸钼(MoDTP)。在日本专利临时公布No.8-20786中已公开上述研究之一,使用包含有机钼化合物的润滑剂在使用的早期阶段赋予常规钢滑动构件优良的低-摩擦系数,其在一定程度上成功地提供降低摩擦的效果。
发明内容
然而,在以上传统技术中已遇到缺点。
例如,日本专利临时公布No.8-20786中公开的润滑剂的效果对近来要求的燃油经济的进一步改进是不足的。
考虑到以上,本发明的目的是提供可有效克服传统润滑剂组合物中遇到的缺点的改进的润滑剂组合物。
本发明的另一目的是提供改进的润滑剂组合物,其可有效降低摩擦系数从而实现燃油经济进一步的改进。
本发明的一个方面在于包含以下的润滑剂组合物:润滑油用基础油;含氧有机化合物;金刚石纳米颗粒;和金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂。
具体实施方式
以下将详细讨论本发明。在下列描述中,除非另有说明,所有的百分比(%)以质量计。
如上述讨论,根据本发明的润滑剂组合物包括润滑油用基础油、含氧有机化合物、金刚石纳米颗粒和金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂,其中该金刚石纳米颗粒通过金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂分散而与含氧有机化合物协同发挥作用。更具体地,根据本发明的润滑剂组合物例如当施用于汽车内燃机或动力传动设备的滑动部分或滑动构件时,可实现摩擦系数的大幅降低和燃油经济的改进。
此外,该润滑剂组合物具有不必要对施用该润滑剂组合物的结构构件如钢和铝合金进行特殊表面处理的额外(spillover)优点。
该润滑油用基础油充当润滑剂组合物的主要组分并优选包含具有特定性质的矿物油和合成油之一或其两者。
矿物型基础油的具体实例包括富石蜡油、富环烷油和普通石蜡,其为通过组合以下纯化处理的至少之一以纯化原油的润滑剂馏分的方式而生产:如溶剂脱沥青、溶剂萃取、氢解、溶剂除蜡、氢化纯化、蜡异构化、硫酸处理和粘土精制(clayrefining)。原油的润滑油馏分通过常压蒸馏和减压蒸馏得到。
合成型基础油的具体实例包括:烷基萘、烷基苯、聚丁烯及其氢化产物;聚-α-烯烃如1-辛烯低聚物和1-癸烯低聚物及其氢化产物;二酯:戊二酸二-十三烷基酯、己二酸二辛酯,己二酸二异癸酯、己二酸二-十三烷基酯、癸二酸二辛酯或其类似物;多元醇酯:三羟甲基丙烷辛酸酯、三羟甲基丙烷壬酸酯、季戊四醇-2-乙基己酸酯、季戊四醇壬酸酯或类似物;及其混合物。
除将矿物型或合成型润滑油基础油单独或作为混合物使用之外,还可以使用两种或多种矿物型或合成型基础油的混合物。包含于此混合物中的两种或多种基础油的混合比不特别限定并且可以任意选择。
润滑油基础油的总芳烃含量不特别限定,但优选15%以下,更优选10%以下并进一步优选8%以下。润滑油基础油中总芳烃含量超过15%导致对氧化的差的稳定性,因此是不希望的。
即使在润滑油基础油中,例如在高度氢解的矿物油中或在1-癸烯低聚物的氢化产物中,具有总芳烃含量2%以下或甚至0%,仍可以得到具有高摩擦降低效果的组合物。在无灰脂肪酸酯摩擦改进剂含量超过1%的情况下,因为可能劣化贮藏稳定性,如果必要,优选通过将润滑油基础油与溶剂纯化的矿物油、烷基苯或类似物质共混以调节润滑油基础油的总芳烃含量(例如在2%以上)。
“总芳烃含量”意指根据ASTMD2549测量的芳烃馏分的含量,并且此芳烃馏分通常包含:烷基苯;烷基萘;蒽;菲;其烷基化物质;其中缩合了四个或更多个苯环的化合物;包含芳香杂环结构的化合物如吡啶、喹啉、酚和萘酚;等等。
包含富聚-α-烯烃合成油的润滑油基础油中的总芳烃含量优选5%以下,更优选3%以下,并再更优选2%以下。
该润滑油基础油的动态粘度不特别限定,但在用作内燃机用润滑剂组合物的情况下,在100℃下的动态粘度优选2mm2/s以上,并更优选3mm2/s以上。同时,动态粘度还优选20mm2/s以下,更优选10mm2/s以下并特别优选8mm2/s以下。
在100℃下具有动态粘度2mm2/s以上的润滑油基础油可以得到在高温条件下能够充分地形成油膜、润滑特性优良和基础油蒸发损失更小的组合物。另一方面,在100℃下动态粘度20mm2/s以下降低流动阻力,从而可以得到在经润滑位置具有更小摩擦阻力的组合物。
此外,润滑油基础油的粘度指数不特别限定,但优选80以上,并且在用作内燃机用润滑剂组合物的情况下,其优选100以上,并特别优选120以上。高粘度指数的润滑油基础油可以得到不仅在低温粘度特性,而且在摩擦降低效果方面优异的润滑剂组合物。
关于含氧有机化合物,其不特别限定并且可以是任何在其分子中含氧的有机化合物。例如其可为由碳、氢和氧构成的含氧有机化合物。该含氧有机化合物在其分子中可包含除以上元素以外的元素,如氮、硫、卤素(氟、氯等)、磷、硼、金属或类似物质。
特别是考虑到进一步减少由滑动构件限定的滑动表面位置中的摩擦,优选由碳、氢和氧组成并具有羟基的含氧有机化合物或此含氧有机化合物的衍生物。
此外,更优选该含氧有机化合物具有两个或更多个羟基。
并且出于与以上同样的原因,更优选具有低硫含量或无硫的含氧有机化合物。
本说明书中讨论的“衍生物”不特别限定并且可为,例如通过将由碳、氢和氧构成的含氧有机化合物与以下物质反应得到的化合物:含氮化合物、含磷化合物、硫、含硫化合物、含硼化合物、卤素、含卤素化合物、金属元素、含金属化合物(有机或无机)或类似物质。
该含氧有机化合物更具体的实例包括:醇(I);羧酸(II);酯(III);醚(IV);酮(V);醛(VI);碳酸酯(VII);其衍生物;以及其任意的混合物。
上述醇(I)为由以下通式(1)表示的有机含氧化合物:

六元以上的多元醇使润滑油粘度增加太多。

那些含氮化合物中,优选具有含10至20个碳原子的烷基或链烯基的脂族胺(该脂族胺可为直链或支链的),如癸胺、十二胺、十三胺、十七胺、十八胺、油胺和硬脂胺。
这些含氧有机化合物的衍生物中,优选具有8至20个碳原子的羧酰胺,如油酰胺。
该含氧有机化合物的含量不特别限定,但优选不低于0.001%,更优选不低于0.05%,再更优选不低于0.1%,并可超过3.0%,同时优选不高于50%,更优选不高于20%,进一步优选不高于10%,再进一步优选不高于5%。该含氧有机化合物即使在少量,例如约0.1至2%加入下,也可表现优良的低摩擦性能。
此外,可按需要共混选自以下添加剂的一种或多种:粘度指数改进剂、倾点降低剂、防磨损剂、极压剂、摩擦改进剂、清洁分散剂(或净化分散剂)、抗氧化剂、防锈剂、金属钝化剂、表面活性剂、抗乳化剂、密封膨胀剂(seal swell agent)、增稠剂、粘着剂、固体润滑剂、结构稳定剂、消泡剂和着色剂。
该粘度指数改进剂可由以下示例:非分散型粘度指数改进剂,如选自各种甲基丙烯酸的一种或两种单体的共聚物,及该共聚物的氢化物;分散型粘度指数改进剂,如各种甲基丙烯酸酯的共聚物(包括氮化合物);乙烯和α-烯烃(如丙烯、1-丁烯和1-戊烯)的非分散或分散型共聚物及其氢化物;聚异丁烯及其氢化物;苯乙烯和二烯的氢化共聚物;苯乙烯和马来酸酐酯的共聚物;及聚烷基苯乙烯。
要求该粘度指数改进剂具有考虑剪切稳定性而选择的分子量。该粘度指数改进剂的平均分子量为:当将分散或非分散型聚甲基丙烯酸酯用作粘度指数改进剂时,优选5,000至1,000,000,更优选100,000至800,000;当将聚异丁烯或其氢化物用作粘度指数改进剂时,优选800至5,000;当将乙烯/α-烯烃共聚物及其氢化物用作粘度指数改进剂时,优选800至300,000,更优选10,000至200,000。以上粘度指数改进剂可以单独或组合使用,并且其含量通常优选0.1至40.0%,基于润滑油的总质量。
在根据本发明的润滑油中,考虑到保持低摩擦特性,特别优选使用聚甲基丙烯酸酯类粘度指数改进剂。
该金刚石纳米颗粒为具有平均粒径约5nm的单晶并通过下列连续步骤制备:通过使负氧平衡炸药如三硝基甲苯和黑索今爆炸,从其回收含碳介质;从其中除去杂质;使用硝酸、硫酸、高锰酸钾或其类似物质进行化学氧化处理;再在球磨机中进行粉碎。
金刚石纳米颗粒的含量在0.01至3.0%,,优选0.05至1.0%,更优选0.05至0.15%范围内,基于润滑剂组合物的总质量。
当纳米金刚石颗粒的含量低于0.01%或超过3.0%时,该润滑剂组合物不能产生节约燃油消耗的效果。
要求金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂只在油中分散该金刚石纳米颗粒,所以不特别限定,但优选表现表面活性且不影响润滑剂组合物的非离子表面活性剂。
该金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂的具体实例包括聚氧乙烯烷基醚、聚氧乙烯二烷基苯酚醚、烷基配糖物、聚氧乙烯脂肪酸酯、蔗糖脂肪酸酯、失水山梨糖醇脂肪酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨糖醇脂肪酸酯、脂肪酸链烷醇酰胺。
这些分散剂中,优选包含聚氧乙烯烷基醚和聚氧乙烯烷基醚磷酸酯的那些,并更优选包含聚氧乙烯烷基醚5至15%和聚氧乙烯烷基醚磷酸酯85至95%的金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂。
也优选包含聚氧乙烯二烷基苯基醚和聚氧乙烯二烷基苯基醚磷酸酯的那些,并更优选包含聚氧乙烯二烷基苯基醚10至15%和聚氧乙烯二烷基苯基醚磷酸酯85至90%的金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂。
特别优选由失水山梨糖醇三油酸酯形成的金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂。
当施于系统(润滑剂组合物-封闭或润滑剂组合物-循环型等等)时,根据本发明的润滑剂组合物具有燃油经济性能的效果。
根据本发明的润滑剂组合物适用于其中相对的构件为互相相对运动而形成接触表面的系统:如4冲程或2冲程型内燃机,更具体地如阀驱动系统中的部分、活塞、活塞环、活塞裙部分、气缸套部分、连杆、曲轴、轴承、轴承金属、齿轮、链条、带、油泵;传动系统中的部分如齿轮和接头;硬盘驱动系统(HDD)中的滑动部分;和其它各种具有使接触表面经受剧烈摩擦条件并要求具有低摩擦的系统。
实施例
参考下列实施例,本发明将更易理解;然而,这些实施例只意图说明本发明,并不构成对本发明的范围的限制。
实施例1
制备实施例1的润滑剂组合物,以使聚-α-烯烃充当包含以下的润滑油用基础油:1%GMO(甘油单油酸酯);0.01%具有平均粒径5nm的金刚石纳米颗粒;1%充当金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂并由5%聚氧乙烯烷基醚和95%聚氧乙烯烷基醚磷酸酯组成的非离子表面活性剂。部分说明示于表1中。
如表1所示的“可分散性”意指以如下方式得到的结果:通过基于其可分散性的其外观评价金刚石纳米颗粒,其中“A”、“B”和“C”分别表示其中金刚石纳米颗粒完全溶解或分散的结果(所以溶液不发白)、其中金刚石纳米颗粒一定程度溶解或分散(所以溶液发白)的结果和其中金刚石纳米颗粒不溶解或分散(所以溶液发白并且金刚石纳米颗粒沉淀)的结果。
实施例2至7和比较例1至4
除了分散剂改为具有如表1所示的组合物和类型,重复实施例1的步骤,从而得到各实施例的润滑剂组合物。

[性能评价]
(SRV摩擦测试)
制备用于SRV摩擦测试仪(得自OPTIMOL)的样品作为形成有与低摩擦运动系统接触表面的实例,使得通过研磨将经热处理的SUJ2材料(根据JISG4805)形成盘状或圆柱状,随后经研磨带抛光而磨光而具有特定表面粗糙度(Ra=0.2μm以下)。将如此得到的样品置于该SRV摩擦测试仪之上,然后将各实施例的润滑剂组合物滴至样品上。另外,在下列测试条件下进行该摩擦测试。
(测试条件)
温度:80℃
负载:400N
振幅:3mm
频率:50Hz
此后,测量测试开始后10至20分钟期间样品具有的摩擦系数。在该时间段内样品的摩擦系数最稳定,所以以该摩擦系数进行样品的评价。结果也示于表1中。
在摩擦系数的测量中,直到将金刚石纳米颗粒加入到润滑剂组合物中并搅拌一周后才使用润滑剂组合物。
如表1中可明显看出,根据本发明的实施例1至7所有的润滑剂组合物摩擦系数减小并表现稳定的降低摩擦的效果。
其中不分散金刚石纳米颗粒的比较例1至4的润滑剂组合物可使样品具有的滑动部分容易发生磨损或卡住。
此外,还发现用于分散颜料或炭黑的聚合分散剂使金刚石纳米颗粒难以分散。
此外,在此时,由于改进金属吸附金属表面的金刚石纳米颗粒的能力,实施例1、2、3、4和7的润滑剂组合物似达到最佳效果。
根据本发明,通过将含氧有机化合物、一定量的金刚石纳米颗粒和金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂加入到润滑油基础油中而制备润滑剂组合物,从而达到摩擦系数的显著减小并进一步改进燃油经济。

Claims (8)
1.一种润滑剂组合物,其包含:
润滑油用基础油;
含氧有机化合物;
金刚石纳米颗粒;和
金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂。
2.根据权利要求1所述的润滑剂组合物,其中该金刚石纳米颗粒的含量在0.01至3.0质量%的范围内。
3.根据权利要求1所述的润滑剂组合物,其中该金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂包含醚类表面活性剂和磷类表面活性剂。
4.根据权利要求1所述的润滑剂组合物,其中该金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂包含聚氧乙烯烷基醚和聚氧乙烯烷基醚磷酸酯。
5.根据权利要求1所述的润滑剂组合物,其中该金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂包含在5至15质量%范围内的聚氧乙烯烷基醚和在85至95质量%范围内的聚氧乙烯烷基醚磷酸酯。
6.根据权利要求1所述的润滑剂组合物,其中该金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂包含聚氧乙烯二烷基苯基醚和聚氧乙烯二烷基苯基醚磷酸酯。
7.根据权利要求1所述的润滑剂组合物,其中该金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂包含在10至15质量%范围内的聚氧乙烯二烷基苯基醚和在85至90质量%范围内的聚氧乙烯二烷基苯基醚磷酸酯。
8.根据权利要求1所述的润滑剂组合物,其中该金刚石纳米颗粒用分散剂包括失水山梨糖醇三油酸酯。
