车辆后视系统
技术领域
本发明涉及一种观察系统,它包括显示装置以及与显示装置相连的成像系统,所述显示装置被设置为根据从成像系统接收的信号显示图像,所述显示装置的空间方向可调整,并且所述成像系统包括用来调整成像系统的观察方向的方向调整装置。
本发明可以例如用作车辆、如汽车或卡车中的后视系统。
背景技术
车辆、如汽车或卡车常常配备后视镜,以便为驾驶者提供后方视野。这帮助驾驶者安全地操纵车辆。大多数汽车具有设置在车辆外部的左和/或右手侧的一个或两个镜子,分别用以提供汽车的左和/或右手侧的后方视野。大多数汽车还具有一个内部镜子,位于车辆中间、驾驶者前方。这个内部镜子通过车辆的后窗为驾驶者提供中后方的视野。
但是,这种后视镜并不总是为驾驶者提供清晰的视野。例如,如果视野被货物或乘客(部分)阻挡,则驾驶者将得不到清晰的后方视野。而且,这种内部镜子无法用于大多数卡车中,因为卡车往往没有后窗。
已知一些后方视野观察系统对上述问题提供了解决方案。例如,英国专利申请GB 2 327 823-A公开了一种后方视野观察系统,该系统使用摄像机、视频信号传送装置以及电子显示屏。摄像机记录后方视野的图像,并将此图像经由视频信号传送装置传送到驾驶者前方的电子显示屏。这个系统不会遇到货物或乘客阻挡驾驶者视野的问题。摄像机的观察方向是可调的。
但是,调整摄像机的方向需要利用特殊的附加方向调整装置、如按钮来完成。这使得系统的使用对习惯于传统后视镜的驾驶者来说不太简便。
发明内容
本发明设法提供一种把先进观察系统的优点与传统观察系统的简便使用相结合的系统。
根据本发明,提供一种在上面开篇中定义的类型的车辆后视系统,包括显示装置和与所述显示装置相连的成像系统,所述显示装置被设置为根据从所述成像系统接收的信号显示图像,所述显示装置的空间方向可调整,以及所述成像系统包括用来调整所述成像系统的观察方向的方向调整装置,其特征在于,所述车辆后视系统还包括用于检测显示装置的方向调整的传感器装置,所述传感器装置连接到方向调整装置,并且所述方向调整装置被设置为根据从传感器装置接收的信号来调整成像系统的观察方向。
根据本发明的车辆后视系统的方向可通过调整显示装置方向来调整的事实使不熟悉这种观察系统的用户能够使用这种观察系统而无需额外的训练,因为这种系统的使用是简便的。
所述成像系统可包括位于车辆中的一个或多个摄像机,它们是从以下各项的集合中选择的:后视摄像机、内部摄像机、轮胎摄像机、盲角摄像机。这种观察系统为驾驶者提供以其它方式看不到的图像。这帮助驾驶者安全地操纵车辆,或者监视以其它方式不可见的空间。
成像系统还可包括用来处理一个或多个摄像机所记录的图像的图像处理装置。这种图像处理装置可改善图像质量,为驾驶者提供更佳的视野。
图像处理装置可用来处理关于车辆状态或其周围环境的附加信息,诸如关于天气状况的信息、时间和日期、道路信息或者与障碍物的距离,以便显示于显示装置上。图像处理装置还可用来同时或一个接一个地在显示装置上显示一个或多个图像,并且还可包括连接到图像处理装置的选择装置,用来选择显示装置显示哪个图像和/或哪种附加信息。这使容易地为驾驶者提供附加信息成为可能,而不需要额外的显示装置,并且为驾驶者提供了决定他想要显示什么信息的可能性。
在另一实施例中,显示装置象车辆中后视镜那样定位,并且可沿俯仰和摇摄方向调整。这具有如下好处:为了使用该观察系统,驾驶者不需要附加的或不同的技能。驾驶者与本观察系统之间的交互类似于传统后视镜。
在本发明的又一实施例中,图像处理装置用来消除所记录图像中的强光。驾驶者不会因为汽车的眩光或其它眩目效应而受干扰,增加了驾驶者和其它道路使用者的安全性。

具体实施方式
图1表示驾驶者所驾驶的车辆1、例如汽车的视图。车辆1还包括显示装置3,它经由固定装置4可调整地安装在车辆1的顶部。显示装置3最好是定位在与传统后视镜相同的位置,所以它还可以例如安装在前窗或仪表板上(见图1中的3’),但是也可定位于车辆1中的其它位置。
图2中可以看到,还提供了传感器5,它记录显示装置3的方向。这个传感器5可设置成与固定装置4结合在一起,或者可安装在固定装置4上,或者可以其它方式设置,这是本领域的技术人员会理解的。传感器5例如利用通信信道6连接到调整装置8。调整装置8支撑摄像机7并且可改变摄像机7的观察方向,例如沿摇摄和俯仰方向。
调整摄像机7的方向所需的能量可取自汽车电池(未示出)。
摄像机7记录从车辆1向后看的图像。摄像机7可以是视频摄像机、CCD摄像机或者任何其它已知类型的摄像机。图像经由通信信道12传送到显示装置3。这个通信信道12可以是铜线或者本领域的技术人员已知的任何其它类型的线路,但是通信信道12也可以是无线通信信道。显示装置3用来显示从摄像机7接收的图像。这可以通过利用TV屏幕或LCD或本领域的技术人员已知的任何其它类型的显示装置3来完成。
驾驶者可观看显示装置3上的图像。如果车辆1装有例如货物,则此货物不会遮挡驾驶者2的视线。如果驾驶者想改变摄像机7的方向,因为他想例如从车辆1左侧看到更多景象,则驾驶者可通过以类似于改变传统后视镜方向的方式改变显示装置3的方向来调整摄像机7的方向。传感器5记录显示装置3的方向的任何改变。根据传感器5所记录的信息,传感器5经由通信信道6向方向调整装置8发送包含关于显示装置3的方向变化的信息的信号。
方向调整装置8根据所接收的信号调整摄像机7的方向。方向调整装置8可包括用来确定摄像机7的观察方向的适当调整的处理器。适当调整是改变显示装置3上显示的图像的调整,类似于当传统后视镜的方向被驾驶者改变时的情况。
摄像机7的方向的调整可以是在基本上水平的面中旋转(摇摄),也可以是在基本上垂直的面中旋转(俯仰)。
在一个优选实施例中,后视系统包括图像处理装置11,用以处理摄像机7所记录的图像。可以进行图像处理,例如以便补偿汽车的眩光或低日照位置。在采用摄像机作为后视摄像机的具体情况中,处理装置可用来颠倒图像的左右方向:在显示装置上显示颠倒后的图像将给车辆1的驾驶者观看已知后视镜的感觉。
在另一实施例中,显示装置3连接到不止一个摄像机7。显示装置3可以与记录例如后座或轮胎或车辆1的任何其它部分或其周围环境的摄像机相连。当然,摄像机7还可用来监视卡车的盲角。不同摄像机的图像可以全部由显示装置3来显示。可以通过把显示屏分成不同部分、每个部分显示从一个不同摄像机7接收的一个图像来同时显示所有图像。也可以向驾驶者提供选择装置,以便选择显示装置3要显示哪个图像。
而且,显示装置3还可用来在显示装置3的显示屏上显示附加信息。这可以是关于天气状况的信息、时间和日期、道路信息、车辆的速度,也可以是在向后倒车时特别有用的信息、例如与车辆1后面的障碍物的距离。可为驾驶者提供选择装置,以便选择要显示哪种信息,但是也可以在启动车辆的引擎时或向后倒车时自动显示这种信息。
在上述实施例中,提供了两个通信信道6、12,分别用于从传感器5向调整装置8传送信号,以及从摄像机7和处理装置11向显示装置3传送信号。当然,通信信道6和12也可以是在两个方向上提供通信的同一个通信信道,还可以是无线通信信道。
为了讲述本发明,描述了本发明的方法和装置的优选实施例。本领域的技术人员应当清楚,只要不背离本发明的实质,可以设想和简化实施本发明的其它备选和等效实施例,本发明的范围仅由所附权利要求来限定。

Claims (9)

1.车辆后视系统,包括显示装置和与所述显示装置相连的成像系统,
所述显示装置被设置为根据从所述成像系统接收的信号显示图像,
所述显示装置的空间方向可调整,以及
所述成像系统包括用来调整所述成像系统的观察方向的方向调整装置,
其特征在于
所述车辆后视系统还包括用于检测所述显示装置的方向调整的传感器装置,所述传感器装置连接到所述方向调整装置,以及
所述方向调整装置被设置为根据从所述传感器装置接收的信号来调整所述成像系统的观察方向。
2.如权利要求1所述的车辆后视系统,其特征在于,成像系统包括位于车辆中的一个或多个摄像机,它们是从以下各项的集合中选择的:后视摄像机、内部摄像机、轮胎摄像机、盲角摄像机。
3.如权利要求1所述的车辆后视系统,其特征在于,所述成像系统包括用来处理所记录的图像的图像处理装置。
4.如权利要求3所述的车辆后视系统,其特征在于,所述图像处理装置用来处理关于车辆状态或其周围环境的附加信息,以便显示于所述显示装置上。
