Peigneuse mécanique. L'objet de la présente invention est une peigneuse mécanique du type Heilmann, à double mécanisme de peignage compor tant chacun un peigne droit et un peigne circulaire, caractérisée par des moyens d'ac- tionnement distincts du peigne droit de cha que mécanisme, par deux jeux de pinces montés dos à dos, faisant partie, chacun, d'un mécanisme de peignage distinct, et comman clés alternativement par un dispositif d'ac- tionnem.ent commun;
La fige. 1 en est une vue en élévation, du côté opposé à celui sur lequel est appliquée la force motrice; Les fig. 2 et 2a en sont une élévation la térale partagée en deux parties et vue dans le sens marqué par la flèche I en fig. 1; La fig. 3 est une coupe faite suivant la ligne 3-3 de la fig. 2; Les fig. 4, 5 et 6 sont des coupes faites respectivement suivant les lignes 4-4, 5-5 et 6-6 de la fig. 2a;
(fig.

Mechanical combing machine. The object of the present invention is a mechanical combing machine of the Heilmann type, with a double combing mechanism each comprising a straight comb and a circular comb, characterized by actuating means distinct from the right comb of each mechanism, by two sets of pliers mounted back to back, each forming part of a separate combing mechanism, and controlled alternately by a common actuating device;
by means allows both to adjust the respective lengths of the strokes of these two sets of pliers, so that they can be varied and that they can be different from one another, and by two pairs picking rollers for each separate combing mechanism, performing an alternating angular movement, of different amplitude in each of the directions of movement.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example only, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
The freeze. 1 is an elevational view of the side opposite to that to which the driving force is applied; Figs. 2 and 2a are a side elevation divided into two parts and seen in the direction marked by the arrow I in FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a section taken along line 3-3 of FIG. 2; Figs. 4, 5 and 6 are sections made respectively along lines 4-4, 5-5 and 6-6 of FIG. 2a;
Figs. 7 and 8 are, on a larger scale, partial sections showing the combing mechanism of the two sides of the machine in different positions; Fig. 9 is a section taken along line 9-9 of FIG. 10, of a detail; Fig. 10 'is a side view of this detail; Fig. 11 is a cross section taken along the line 11-11 of the, FIG. 9; Figs. 12, 18 and 14 are further detail views.
The combing machine according to these figures comprises a frame having legs A, longitudinal members A1 (fig. 1, 4 and 5). And amounts AZ A3 A4 and .A 'fixed on the longitudinal members A' and which serve to support the various members of the machine.
In the uprights <I> A '</I> A3 is mounted a shaft 1 on one end of which is fixed a pulley 2 which receives its movement by means of a transmission belt actuated by a driving device not shown. felt in the drawing. The shaft 1 also carries a pinion 3 (fig. 2a and 5) which transmits the driving force to both sides of the machine. Since the two sides of the latter are symmetrical and opposite, the same reference signs will be applied to both sides of the machine, in the description below.
The device for feeding the tape to be combed comprises rollers 4 and 5 (fig. 1, 4, 7 and 8). The rollers 4 are those on which the driving force is applied directly. These rollers 4 are mounted on ar bers 21, the rollers 5 on shafts 210. On these rollers rests the tape 6. The ar bers 21 and 210 of these rollers rotate in bearings mounted on arms 4 and a 'provided on the A4 and AI uprights seen above.
The pinion 3 of the shaft 1. (fig. 2a and 5) meshes with a toothed wheel 7 mounted on a shaft 8 carried by the uprights A2 and <B> A '.. </B> shaft which has, at the 'one of its ends a disc 9 provided with a crank pin 10 (Fig. 2a and 4). The crankpin 10 is arranged in a groove 11 made in a swinging arm 12, mounted on a swinging shaft 13. carried by the uprights A3 A4 and <I> A "</I> (fig. 4), groove in which the crankpin 10 can slide.
The shaft 13 also carries, between the amounts Ag and A4, a plate 14 fixed on it, plate which is provided with ears 16 through which pass screws 15 which allow the adjustment of the arm 12 relative to the shaft. 'shaft 13. The arm 12 has for this purpose the doors on which bear the ends of the screws 15 (FIG. 4).
At its end visible in fig. 1, the shaft 13 carries an arm 17 (fig. 1) at the end of which are mounted two rods 18, connected to one of the ends of levers 19, each oscillating respectively on a shaft 21 of the rollers 4, levers 19 which carry pawls 20 acting on toothed wheels 22 fixed on the shaft 21. rollers 4 which are actuated by these pawls 20. On these shafts 21 are mounted toothed wheels 23 meshing with toothed wheels 24 (fig. 1) which themselves mesh with toothed wheels 25 mounted on the shafts 210 of the rollers 5, gear trains 23, 24 and 25 by means of which the rollers 5 are actuated at the same time as the rollers 4 and in the same direction.
The rollers 4 and 5 are grooved, as can be seen in the drawing, so as to drive the tape 6 by friction and to bring it to the aprons 26, Ha common to the combing machines (fig. 7, 8 and 3).
Each of these aprons 26 (fig. 7 and 8) is suspended from a fixed shaft 29, carried by the frame of the machine, by means of hooks 28. At the lower end of each of these boards 26 is arranged the mechanism. clamp, which is actuated as shown below. Each of the lower jaws 27 of the clamps (fig. 3, 7 and 8) is fixed to the clamp frame 3? and receives an oscillating movement. It can also slide at the lower end of the apron 26. At the two ends of the ar bres 29, from which the aprons 26 are suspended, are suspended guide members 30 (fig. 2, 3, 7 and 8) having flanges :, 31 between which is mounted the clamp frame 32.
This frame is provided with a plate 304 projecting on its front part and having an orifice through which passes a threaded rod ù- provided with a nut; 35 which allows to adjust vertically the position of the frame 32 as well as that of the lower jaw of the clamp.
The guide members 30 and the clamp frames 32, supported by these guide members, can oscillate on the shafts 9. Their oscillations are controlled by two arms 36 (fig. 3) fixed to the oscillating shaft 13. One of these arms 36 (fig. 13 and 14) is placed near the A4 upright and the other near the AI upright ( only one of these arms 36 is visible in the drawing, fig. 3). Each of these arms 36 (fig. 13 and 14) has at its free end a roller 37 which comes in. contact with the clamp frames 32, when the sorrel shaft 13, so.
that each oscillation of the shaft 13 pushes the frame 32 out of its normal position (shown in fig. 7) to bring it into the position in which it is shown in fig. 8, by charging springs 323 (fig. 3) which connect the frames 32 to each other, as described below.
The clamp frames 32, at the ends of which are fixed the lower jaws 27, on both sides of the comber, also carry a shaft 38 (Fig. 7 and 8) at each end of which. is fixed an arm 39. These arms support between them the upper jaw 40 of the clamp. These upper arms and the upper jaws have a horizontal back-and-forth movement, due to the oscillation of the frames 32. In addition, these arms and the upper jaws are communicated with a vertical tilting movement, independent of the movement of the frames. frames 32.
The movements of the lower jaws 27 and frames 32 are reversed, the frame 32 disposed on the right side of the machine. fig. 3, moving towards the inside of said figure when the frame on the other side of the machine moves outwards, and one of the upper jaws is up. while the other of these upper jaws is at the bottom, as can be seen by examining Figs. <B> 3, 7 </B> and <B> 8. </B>
The rocking movement communicated to the arms 39 and the vertical movement of the jaws 40 which results therefrom, is produced by the arms 41 provided with rollers 410 (FIG. 1). One of these arms is disposed at the end close to the upright A ', of each of the shafts 38 so. due when the frames 32 oscillate, each of the rollers 410 abuts in turn on an inclined surface formed by a lug 42 provided on the upright A "so as to force the free end of the arms 41 to slide on said inclined surfaces and rotating the arbor 38 which then lifts the upper jaw.
To lower the latter, angled levers 43 and 43a (Fig. 3) are provided which are articulated at 44 to a plate 45 suspended from the shafts 29 (Fig. 3). A spring 46 is fixed to the upper end of each lever 43 and 43a, the other end of which is fixed to the plate 45. The other arms of these levers 43 and 43a carry at their free end, a friction roller. 47, which is arranged so as to strike the adjacent arm 39 and lower the latter. It can thus be seen that one of the upper jaws is lifted by the inclined surface formed on one of the ears 42 and.
then lowered by the action of one of the levers 43. The iessorts 46 allow the upper jaws to adjust by themselves to the position of the lower jaws while properly maintaining the filaments.
The straight comb 48 is carried at each end of the machine by a plate 49. This straight comb is mounted perpendicular to said plates (fig. 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8). Each of the plates 49 is mounted on an arm 50 having grooves for the purpose of adjusting the combs. These arms 50 which can be placed in various positions, are adjustable at the end of the levers 51 which are articulated on the amounts A4 and A 'of the frame. The lower end of these levers 51 is fork-shaped and overlaps a roller 52 rotatably mounted on a "journal provided on an arm 53 carried by an oscillating shaft 103 (FIG. 3).
Each of the arms 50 also has an arm 54 in an angular shape and extending towards the top of the machine and towards the interior of the machine, arm 54 on each of which is mounted an adjustable plate 55, the lower edge of which is inclined. , and which is fixed to the arm 54 by a bolt 56, key so as to be able to adjust, if necessary, the. direction of movement of comb 48. On the lower edge of each. arms 54 or its plate 55, rolls a roller 57. The bearings 58 of these rollers are mounted in vertically adjustable plates 59 by means of threaded rods 60 secured to each of these plates, rods on which nuts 61 are screwed. which are used for adjustment.
The combing drums or circular combs 62 of the machine (FIG. 3) are constructed in the usual manner and their operation presents nothing special. Each of these drums is mounted on a shaft 63 carried by the uprights, 12 <I> A </I> <B> I </B> A4 and. A 'of the machine frame and these drums are arranged at. inside a box 64. Each of the shafts 63 carries two cogwheels 65 and 650; the toothed wheels 650 mesh with each other (fig. 5) and one of them meshes with the pinion 3 fixed on the motor shaft 1 as seen above.
Each of these shafts 63 also carries the usual disks 70 (FIG. 6), opposite which are arranged fingers 71, fixed to the frame A <B> 2 </B>. Brushes 66 (Fig. 3) of usual shape are also mounted in box 64. Each of these brushes is mounted on a shaft 67, carried by the uprights A 'A4 and A'. One of these shafts 67 carries a pinion 68 (fig. 2e1 and 5) meshing with a toothed wheel 69 which is wedged on the motor shaft 1.
The second of the shafts 67 carries a pinion 68 '(fia. 2e1 and 5) meshing with a pinion 680 mounted idle on a support fixed to the AE upright (fig. 2e1) pin 680 also meshing with the star wheel 69.
Each clamp frame 32 (Fig. 8) carries a roller 72 and the tape x passes between the roll 72 and the lower jaw 27 of the clamp. This roller is provided with a pin 73 on each end of which a sole 7.1 rests, mounted at the lower end of a 'rod <B> 75, </B> subjected to the action of a spring < B> 76, </B> which keeps the roller 72 on the. jaw \? 7. This spring 76 is placed between projections 77 and 80 of a plate 78, bolted to the frame 32.
Said plate is grooved as well. that this is shown at 79 (fis. 7 and 8) so that the device supporting the roller 7 2 can be -régé inside or outside, as can be seen in fi g. 7 and 8, on which the grooves 79 are shown in dotted lines.
The rollers 72 are caused to rotate in fractions of turns, thanks to. wheels to, rock and 81. which are mounted on them and to eliqilets 82 fixed to the A4 upright (fia. 3).
There are four take-up rollers: two rollers 83 and 84 (fig. 7 and 8) which are controlled and two rollers 85 and 86 covered with leather, which rest on the tape y and are driven by the.
rotation of the first. TTnP (the ends of each of the shafts 87 and <B> 89 </B> closed rrofeanx ordered 83 and 84 is provided respectively with a 'pinion 89, 891 (fig.? A and 4) pinions meshing with a wheel 90 mounted idle on a support 91, carried by the upright A4. The pinion 89 is moreover engaged with a toothed wheel 92 of a latching mechanism, which will be described later. The roller 85 is mounted in specially designed bearings. in a plate A41 (fig. 3 and 1.2).
A bearing 93 (fig. 3 and 12) in which engages the shaft of the roller 86, is mounted on the end of a spring 94, the rear end of which engages on a rod 95 fixed sir an arm 97. A lever 96 is also mounted on the arm 97, which lever can be used to give tension to the spring 94.
The pa Liers of the roller 85, formed in the. AV plate 'are closed by caps 98 mounted on the upper ends of arms to, hook 99 (fia. 3) whose lower ends are connected to one end of coil springs 7.00, springs of which the other ex hoppers is attached to the posts A4 and A ', so that the rollers 85 are hand held under tension against the tape y.
The arm 97 seen above is mounted on a tilting frame 101 (fig. 3 and 12) which is suspended on the shaft of the roller 84, so that it can rotate around this shaft and it is joined by an arm 102. at arm 53 of shaft 103.
Each shaft 1 (l.3 is mounted in supports 7.04, fixed on the uprights A2 A4 A ', and it can oscillate under the action of a dis that <B> 105, </B> mounted on the shaft 8, disc 105 which carries a crankpin 106 (fis. 2e1 and 6) connected by an arm 107 to a swing arm 108 by means of an adjustable groove 7.09 connection, the swing arm 108 being mounted on the shaft 103 .
In this way. the rollers 86 will execute a movement around the rollers 8 = 1 (fis. 6, 7, 8 and 12). The rollers 86 will exert uniform pressure against the stray filaments on the rollers 84.
A nefto # 7eur 110 (fia. 7 and 8) supports rollers 85 and 86 on each side of the machine. It is attached to rods 111 which are attached to rods connecting the lever 51. e111 arm 50.
The device of Pncliquetaae (fig. L1) which he has. discussed above, is intended to rotate the rollers 84 and 83 at a certain angle in one direction to bring the ribbon y back towards the food apparatus, in order to receive a new strand of filaments, or in the reverse direction to feed the tape y to the delivery rollers 112. These tape delivery rollers 112 are controlled in the usual way.
As indicated above, each pinion 89 meshes with a toothed wheel 92 of the ratchet mechanism.
The toothed wheel 65 wedged on the shaft 63 (fig. 2a and 4) meshes with a wheel 113, meshing with a wheel 114 carrying an eccentric pin 120; to this crank pin 120 is hinged one of the ends of 'an arm 15, the other end of which is articulated to a pin <B> 116 </B> bringing together as well as other pins 119, two discs 117 and 118. The eccentricity of the pin 116, that is, that is to say the radius of the arc which it describes around the center of the discs 117 and 118, being greater than the eccentricity of the crank pin 120 with respect to the axis of the toothed wheel 114, the rotation of the latter will make oscillate the discs 117 and 118 as well as the members which are rigidly connected with them.
A sleeve 121 is mounted idle on a shaft 921, and on this sleeve are keyed the toothed wheel 92 mentioned above, as well as ratchet wheels, juxtaposed 122 and 123 (FIGS. 9 to 11.). The sleeve 121 also carries the disc 117 which can freely rotate on it. A disc 124, which is of smaller diameter than the disc 117 and which is cut (Fig. 9) at 125 so as to leave free, over part of its. periphery, the teeth of the ratchet 123, carries a hub 124a fixed in an adjustable manner by means of a screw 124u on the shaft 921.
So. hub 124a is mounted inside the disc 118 connected, as we have seen, by means of pins 119 to the disc 117. It can be seen in the drawing that the portion 125, cut from the disc 124, leaves a part of the sideways free. teeth of the ratchet 123, tan say that the periphery of the solid part of the disc 124 extends slightly beyond the end of the teeth of said ratchet. The teeth of the ratchet wheels 122 and 123 are inclined in the opposite direction. These ratchets cooperate with pawls 126 and 127 freely mounted on a pin 127a connecting the two discs 117 and 118. The pawl 126 is engaged with the ratchet 122 and the pawl <B> 127 </B> engaged with the ratchet 123 .
The pawl 126 has the same width as the rock 122, while the pawl 127 is wider than the ratchet <B> 123 </B> so as to overhang the disc 124 adjacent to the latter. These pawls are held in engagement with the ratchets by means of springs 128 fixed to a rod 1281, fixed between the discs 117 and 118.
The operation of this device is as follows: When the arm 115 rises, the disks 117 and 118 rotate in the direction of the arrow (fig. 9) and drive with them the pawls 126 and <B> 127. </B> The pawl 127, if it is then engaged with the ratchet 123 (as shown in fi g. 9), then drives the latter in the direction of the arrow and this ratchet, by turning, drags with it the sleeve 121, ratchet 122 and toothed wheel 92.
When the arm 115 on the contrary moves downwards, it is then the pawl <B> 126, </B> in engagement with the ratchet 122, which drives the latter along with the sleeve 121, the ratchet 123. rpue 92 in the direction of clockwise, the pawl 127 remaining in engagement with the teeth of the ratchet 123, as long as it is opposite the cutout 125 of the disc 124.
When, however, this pawl <B> 127 </B> reaches the solid part of the disc 124, it is disengaged from the teeth of the ratchet 123 and slides over the periphery of the disc 124 in such a way that when the arm 115 will rise again, it will be necessary for the pawl <B> 127 </B> to first come into the cut-out portion 125 of the disc 124 in order to re-engage with the teeth of the ratchet 123 and drive the latter again as well as the sleeve 121 and the. toothed wheel 92.
The angular position of the disc 124 with respect to the ratchets 122 and 123 can be adjusted at will - as seen above - by means of the screw 124b.
By means of this device - operating as indicated above - it is possible to communicate to the rollers 84 and 83, by means of the toothed wheel 92, an intermittent reciprocating angular movement, of greater amplitude in one direction than in the other. . The variation of the ratio between these two movements is regulated according to the length of the fibers, by adjusting the position of the disc 124 on the shaft 921 and, consequently, the engagement time of the pawl 127 on the ratchet 123.
In the lower part of the box 64 is disposed a perforated cylinder 129 (fig. <B> 2 </B> and 3) mounted on a shaft 130, which can rotate in bearings provided on two of the feet A. The shaft 130 carries a toothed wheel 131 (FIG. 1) disposed at its rear end, which wheel meshes with a pinion 132 mounted on a pin 133 integral with the amount A. This pinion 132 can be driven by an intermittent rotational movement, by means of a ratchet 1.34 and a pawl 135. This pawl 135 is mounted on an arm 136, which can turn on 133 and which is connected to the pawl. means of a rod 137 and an arm <B> 138, </B> to the oscillating shaft 13 seen above.
Inside the perforated cylinder 129 is disposed a stationary cylinder 129b (Fig. 2) which forms a chamber having an opening 129e which allows dust to occur in the chamber. box 64 to fall into said chamber, the fixed cylinder 129b further forming a support for the perforated cylinder 129 on the periphery of which rolls a roller 129f hand holding the cylinder 129.
The cylinder 129b opens into a box 129a (Fig. 2a and 5) in connection with a fan 139 (Fig. 4) mounted on a shaft 129a. This fan, which can be of any suitable construction, is used for sucking up dust etc. which can accumulate inside the fixed cylinder 129b. The shaft 129a on which the fan 139 is mounted carries a 129th pulley actuated by means of a transmission belt by an external drive device, not shown in the drawing.
The side walls of the box 64 are folded inwardly near the paint drums 62 and between these is disposed a partition 621 (Fig. 3) which prevents debris from being thrown from a drum. comb over the other. The partition 621 is surmounted by a plate 641. With (the stops 642, provided if the uprights A'1 and A come into contact alternately with the screws 321, screwed on the sail lies 322 provided on the clamp frames 32.
A spring 323 connects the protrusions 322 and tends to bring the frames 32 towards each other, the screws 321., in combination with the stops 642, tending to limit the rearward movement of the frames 32 and the clamps mounted thereon. By rotating either one or the two screws in one direction or the other, the two clamp frames 32 can be adjusted independently of each other.
As we have. seen above, the arms 36 (fig. 3 and 13) which cause the clamp frames 32 to oscillate, are adjustable on the shaft 13, as is shown in figs. 13 and 14. The shaft 13 carries for this purpose short arms 361 having a groove 362. A bolt 363 passing through the arm 36 is mounted in the groove 362, it allows the arms 36 and 361 to be adjusted under a certain angle, with respect to each other and to keep them in this position by tightening the nut of bolt 363. This device will allow one of the clamp frames to be given a stroke greater than that of the other .
The tape combs after having abandoned the tear rollers, passes through a bottom sin 831 (fig. 3) and. passes through the funnel usual in these machines, then between unbinding rollers 11.2 on a combed tape Z plate from where it is led to the usual winding device.
The comber described above can be adjusted so that each of its separate combing mechanisms combs separately, for example, one short staple cotton and the other long staple cotton. The arrangement of the components and the transmission of the movement of the motor shaft common to the two combing mechanisms are such that one of the mechanisms is in the operation of combing, when the other is in operation. grubbing up and vice versa.
In practice, any batch of cotton can be expected to contain about 18% of foams or scraps, which will need to be removed during the combing operation. If more waste was removed, it would demonstrate the need to adjust the key-placement of the gripper frames and bring them closer to the stripper rollers. If, on the contrary, the quantity (the evacuated waste is not in the proportions indicated above.
it will be necessary to move the clamp frames away from the arraelieurs rollers. By adjusting the position of the crankpin 10 which the disc 9 carries (fig. 4), this adjustment can be carried out in a single operation for both parts of the machine.
For this purpose, the crankpin 1.0, which moves when the machine is in operation, in the groove 11 of the arm 12, can be moved away from or brought closer to the axis of the shaft 8. The disc 9 has for this purpose a groove 9a (fig. 4) in which the crankpin 10 can be moved with respect to the axis of the shaft 8. The movements of the crankpin 10 in said groove 9a will modify the amplitude of the oscillations of the arm 12 which gives their movements to the clamp frames. It can thus be seen that by adjusting the position of the crankpin 10, the movement of all the clamp frames, controlled by the arm 12, can be adjusted by a single operation.
The adjustment of the arm 12 modifies the stroke of all the grippers with respect to the stripper rollers, so as to make the latter independent of the necessary quantity of coats or waste to be removed, depending on the particular kind of cotton to be combed.
Rolls; Coils. interior 84 and 86 (fig: 3, 7 and 8) are the effective stripping rollers by which the. tape formation is accomplished, while rollers 83 and 85 are carrier rollers. T e cleaner 110, provided on rollers 85 and 86, is <B> there </B> for cleaning the rubber of said rollers.
To maintain the fibers or strands in the correct position (when combing the jaws of the grippers when they are closed must be located approximately in the vertical plane passing through the axis of the corresponding combing drum. Adjusting the position of the gripper frames for this is achieved by means of screws 321 (fig. 7, 8 and 3) and stop 642 (fig. 3).
The operation of the machine is as follows: The reel of combing tape 6- which rests on the rollers 4 and 5 unwinds when these rollers are driven by the motor shaft. The free end of the tape is brought over the aprons 26 and under the rollers 73 between the open jaws 27 and 40 of the grippers. As soon as a certain length of the layer of fibers, called the "wick head" has passed these jaws, the latter close while the gripper approaches the corresponding circular comb, so that this wick is combed by the needles of this comb. After that the still closed gripper moves towards the stripping rollers.
When the clamp has moved a short distance in this direction, the upper jaw of the clamp begins to open, and at the same time 1o pawl 82 being in the desired position, engages on the ratchet 81 mounted on the shaft of the feed roller and forces this roller to rotate, until the gripper has reached the end of its travel towards the stripper rollers. At the same time, the straight comb 48 moves towards said ripping rollers in front of the grippers. The horizontal displacement of the comb is of uniform amplitude, that is to say that it always moves the same distance, while the same is not true of the gripper.
The fibers of the lock heads combed by the needles of the circular comb do not all have the same length; so if the gripper were set to move only to a point relatively far from the stripper rollers, the stripper rollers would only grip relatively long fibers, longer than the. distance between the end point of the gripper stroke and these rollers. That is why. we try to bring this finished point as close as possible to the ripping rollers in order to allow the latter to seize as much fiber as possible, in order to reduce waste. In this way, the quantity of waste can be regulated.
Short fibers and all foreign matter are prevented from passing to the front of the machine, into the combed product, by the straight comb and when the grippers return back, these materials are carried away by the needles of the circular comb and evacuated by the brushes for cleaning the latter.
The straight comb is generally actuated in a horizontal plane only, but when the combing must be carried out on a thick web, this comb is also made to perform an innovation having a vertical component.
The adjustable plate 55 is used for this purpose. This movement helps the pliers to scrape the strand of the straight comb when the combed fibers have been pulled through said comb.
The embodiment shown and described above comprises only a single element of the two mechanisms, twins functioning by means of a single drive head, but it is obvious that a certain number of elements can be arranged. end to end, operating through said power head. It also has no cams or counterweight, so that the force required <L actuation of the machine is reduced by as much, while avoiding the expenditure necessary for. cam wrench repair and adjustment, as is the case in machines in use today.
