Claims (5)

  1. Device for adjusting the gripper plate of rectilinear combers for wool and long fibres, characterised in that it essentially consists of an articulated means (A) for supporting the gripper plate (8) by means of a support (11) and an articulation shaft (12) for the said support, a device (B) for controlling the fixed comb (16) by means of an oscillating lever (21) and a means (C) for actuating the means (A) for supporting the gripper plate (8) and the device (B) for controlling the fixed comb by means of a forked arm (6), said actuating means (C) co-operating with a central control cam (1).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the articulated means (A) of the gripper plate (8) consists of a support (11) articulated to a shaft (12) and provided, on the one hand, with a wing provided with a further shaft (14) for articulating a control lever (7) of the gripper plate (8) and, on the other hand, perpendicularly to this wing, with a housing for receiving a lower jaw (9) of the gripper which forms the support of the gripper plate (8), an upper jaw (9') of the gripper also being articulated to the shaft 12.
  3. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the device (B) for controlling the fixed comb (16) consists of an oscillating lever (21) mounted at one end on a shaft (20) equipped with an adjustable roller (23) and provided at the end remote from the shaft (20) with a shaft (22) for articulation of a lever (30) for supporting the fixed comb (16) at its free end, said lever (30) being adjustable in length by means of a slotted link (31).

Device according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the means (C) for actuating the means (A) supporting the plate (8) and the device (B) for controlling the fixed comb co-operating with a central control cam (1) advantageously consists of a forked connecting rod (6), on the one hand, articulated by a tooth of its fork to the lever (7), which is also loaded by a restoring spring (R), and provided on the internal face of its other tooth with a ramp (24) intended to cooperate with the roller (23) of the lever (21) of the device (B) and, on the other hand, provided at the end remote from its teeth with a slotted link (18) co-operating with a journal (19) provided at the end of a wing of an L-shaped lever (4) mounted in an oscillating manner on a fixed shaft (5) and co-operating by means of a roller (3) provided at the end of the other wing with the central control cam (1), said roller (3) being applied to said cam (1) under the influence of a spring (F).
  5. Device according to claim 4, characterised in that the journal (19) is adjustably mounted at the corresponding end of the wing of the lever (4) by means of a slotted link (26) and a knurled wheel (25).
