der zwei l@lonoazofarbstoffmolekül(e an ein Kobaltatom komplex gebunden ent hält.
Der neue Farbstoff bildet ein wasserlös liches Pulver, das Wolle aus schwach: alkali schem, neutralem oder essigsaurem Bade in blaustichig Bordeaux Tönen von guter Licht echtheit und vorzüglicher Nass-, Ca.rbonisier- und Dekaturechtheit färbt.
Der als Ausgangsstoff dienende, der oben stehenden Formel entsprechende Monoazo- farbstoff kann durch Kupplung des 2-Oxy- naphthalins mit nach an sich bekannten Me thoden, z. B. mittels Salzsäure und Natrium nitrit diazotiertem 4-Methyl-2-amino-l-oxy- benzol-5-sulfonsäureamid hergestellt werden.
Die Behandlung mit .den. kobalt.abgeben- den Mitteln erfolgt gemäss vorliegendem Ver fahren in der Weise, .dass ein kobalthaltiger Farbstoff entsteht, der pro Molekül Farb stoff weniger als ein Atom Kobalt in kom- plexer Bindung enthält.
Demgemäss führt man die Metallisierung zweckmässig,_ mit solchen kobaltabgebenden Mitteln und nach solchen Methoden durch, welche erfahrungsgemäss komplexe Kobaltverbindungen dieser Zusam mensetzung liefern. Es empfiehlt sich im all gemeinen, auf ein Molekül eines Farbstoffes weniger als ein,
mindestens aber ein halbes Atom Kobalt zu verwenden und/oder die Metallisierung in schwach saurem bis alkali schem Medium auszuführen. Als kobaltabge- bende Mittel- verwendet man zweckmässig Kobaltsalze wie Kobaltsidfat oder Kobalt acetat, gegebenenfalls auch frisch gefälltes Kobalthydroxyd.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 20,2 Teile 4-Methyl-2-amino-l-oxybenzol- 5-sulfonsäureamid werden in 200 Teilen Was ser und 15 Teilen 10n-Salzsäuro aufgeschlämmt und bei 0 bis 5 mit 25 Volumteilen 4n-Na- triumnitritlösung diazotiert. Die durch Zu gabe von Natriumcarbonat neutralisierte Di- a.zolösung lässt man einlaufen in eine mit Eis auf 0 gekühlte Lösung aus 14,
4 Teilen. 2- Oxynaphthalin, 4 Teilen Natriumhydroxyd, 5,3 Teilen Natriumkarbonat in 200 Teilen Wasser. Nach beendeter Kupplung wird der ausgefallene Farbstoff filtriert und getrock net.
18,9 Teiile des so, erhaltenen Farbstoffes werden unter Zusatz von 4 Teilen Natrium hydroxyd in 500 Teilen 80 warmem Wasser gelöst und mit 50 Teilen einer Kobaltsulfat- lösung mit einem Kobaltgehalt von 3,25 % versetzt. Nach etwa halbstündigen Rühren bei 70 bis 80 ist die Metallisierung beendet. Die erhaltene Lösung wird nötigenfalls klär filtriert und zur Trockne eingedampft.
