Process for the production of a condensation product.
The present patent relates to a process for the preparation of a condensation product of the formula
EMI1.1
characterized1 that 3-trifluoromethyl-aniline is allowed to react with a halocarbonic acid derivative and the reactive carbamic acid derivative obtained with 2-amino-4-trifluoromethyl-3 ', 4'-dichloro-1, 1'-diphenylether-6'-sulfonic acid sodium implements.
One embodiment of the process according to the invention is that 3-trifinormethyl-aniline is allowed to react with phosgene and the 3-trifluoromethylphenyl-earbamic acid chloride obtained is treated with 2-amino-4 trifluoromethyl-3 ', 4'-diehloro-1,1'-diphenyl ether. 6'-sulfonic acid sodium converts. It is preferable to work in the presence of a tertiary base as the condensing agent. Pyridine or quinoline are particularly suitable for this purpose.
In addition, 3-trifinormethylaniline can be reacted with phosgene at elevated temperature and the 3-trifluoromethylphenyl isocyanate obtained with 2-amino-4-trifluoro methyl - 3 ', 4' - dichloro-11'-diphenyl ether-6 Bring '-sulphonsaurem sodium to the reaction, the compound of the above formula being obtained in good yield and excellent purity. A particularly suitable solvent for this type of reaction is acetonitrile.
Finally, one embodiment consists in allowing 3-trifluoromethylaniline to react with a carbonic acid ester and the 3-trifluoromethylphenylcarbamic acid ester obtained with 2-amino-4-trifluoro-methyl-3 ', 4'-dichloro-1,1'-diphenyl ether-6 '-sulphonic acid sodium converts.
Mainly lower alkyl or aryl esters are suitable as halocarbonic acid esters. The conversion can advantageously be made in water.
The new condensation product forms a pale crystal powder which is clearly soluble in hot water and which can be used as a moth repellent.
Example 1: a) 300 parts of dry benzene are saturated with phosgene at 700; to this end, a solution of 100 parts of 3-trifluoromethylaniline in 300 parts of dry benzene at 6570 is added dropwise with stirring and introduction of phosgene. After some time, the mixture is refluxed to 7 μm and phosgene is introduced until only small amounts of the amine used are undissolved. The benzene solution is then filtered, the benzene is distilled off and the 3-trifluoromethylphenyl isocyanate is fractionated.
Bp31: 79 "; Yield: 680 / o. B) 14.13 parts of 2-amino-4-trifluoromethyl 3 ', 4'-dichloro-1, 1'-diphenyl ether-6'-sulfonic acid sodium are dissolved in 60 parts of acetonitrile , mixed with 6.23 parts of 3-trifluoromethylphenyl isocyanate and heated for four hours on a water bath, the reaction solution is filtered and the solvent is evaporated.
Yield: 17.5 parts.
The ondensation product is dissolved in 2000 parts of 80-85 "water, a little animal charcoal is added and the product is filtered hot. After 135 parts of saturated sodium chloride solution have been added, the ondensation product separates out.
After cooling, it is collected and dried in vacuo. It can be extracted from absolute alcohol in order to rid it of calcium salts. After drying and grinding, the new condensation product forms a pale powder that is clearly soluble in hot water.
Example 2:
The 3-trifluoromethylphenyl-carbamine acid chloride prepared from phosgene and 3-trifluoromethylaniline in a dry, inert solvent results in the addition of pyridine as a condensing agent with 2-amino 4-trifluoromethyl-3 ', 4'-diehlor-1, 1'-diphenyl- ether-6'-sulfonic acid sodium the urea described in Example 1 b) in a satisfactory yield.
Example 3:
The 3-trifluoromethylphenyl-carbamic acid phenyl ester prepared from chlorocarbonic acid phenyl ester and 3-trifluoromethyl-aniline in dry pyridine gives by reaction with 2-amino-4-trifluoromethyl-3 ', dichloro-1, 1'-diphenylether-6'-sulfonic acid sodium in hot water the urea described in Example 1 b); Instead of the 3-trifluoromethylphenyl-carbamic acid phenyl ester, the corresponding methyl ester can also be used.
