kobaltabgebende Mittel derart einwirken lässt, dass ein kobalthaltiger Azofarbstoff entsteht,
der zwei Monoazofarbstoffmoleküle an ein Kobaltatom komplex gebunden enthält.
Der neue Farbstoff bildet ein wasserlös liches Pulver, das Wolle aus schwach alkali- schem, neutralem bis essigsaurem Bade in braungelben Tönen färbt.
Der als Ausgangsstoff dienende, der oben stehenden Formel entsprechende M'onoazo- farbstoffkann durch Kupplung des 1-Phenyl- 3 - methyl - 5 - pyrazolon - 3'- sulfonsäuremethyl- amids mit nach an sich bekannten Methoden, z. B. mittels Salzsäure und Natriumnitrit, di- azotiertem 4-Nitro-6-chlor-2-amino-l-oxyben- zol hergestellt werden.
Die Behandlung mit den kobaltabgebenden Mitteln erfolgt gemäss vorliegendem Verfah ren in der Weise, dass ein kobalthaltiger Farb stoff entsteht, der pro Molekül Farbstoff weniger als ein Atom Kobalt in komplexer Bindung enthält, Demgemäss führt man die Metallisierung zweckmässig mit solchen kobalt- abgebenden Mitteln und nach solchen Metho den durch, welche erfahrungsgemäss kom plexe Kobaltverbindungen dieser Zusammen setzung liefern.
Es empfiehlt sich im allge meinen, auf ein Molekül eines Farbstoffes weniger als ein, aber mindestens i/2 Atom Kobalt zu verwenden und/oder die Metallisie- rimg in schwach saurem bis alkalischem Me dium auszuführen.
Als kobaltabgeberide Mit tel verwendet man zweckmässig komplexe Kobaltverbindungen allphatischer Oxycarbon- säuren oder einfache Kobaltsalze wie Kobalt sulfat oder Kobaltacetat, gegebenenfalls auch frisch gefälltes gobalthydroxyd.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 4,66 Teile des Farbstoffes aus diazotierteiu 4-Nitr o-6-chlor - 2 - amino -1- oxybenzol und 1- Phenyl- 3 - methyl- 5-pyrazolon - 3'-sulfonsäure- inethylainid werden in <B>150</B> Teilen Wasser und 2,
6 Teilen 30o/oiger Natriumhydroxydlösung gelöst und nach Zugabe von 30 _ Teilen einer Kobaltsulfatlösung mit einem Kobaltgehalt von 1,05% 30 Minuten bei 80 bis 85 verrührt. Nach dieser Zeit ist die Komplexbildung be endet. Man filtriert und dampft das Filtrat im Vakuum ein.
