<I>Beispiel:</I> 20,75 Teile 1-Amino-4-chlorbenzol-3-sulfo- säure werden in 150 Teilen Wasser und 5,5 Teilen Na2C03 gelöst.
Process for the preparation of a stain-coloring disazo dye. It has been found that a new stain-dyeing disazo dye is obtained if the aminoazo dye is further .diazotized from diazotized 1-amino-4-chlorobenzene-3-sulphonic acid and aminohydroquinone dimethyl ether and combined with salicylic acid.
The new dye is a brown powder that easily dissolves in hot water with an orange-brown color. When this solution cools, most of the dye crystallizes out. The solution color in concentrated sulfuric acid is red-violet. In cotton print with chrome stain, the product provides deep red-brown shades with good fastness properties. <I> Example: </I> 20.75 parts of 1-amino-4-chlorobenzene-3-sulfonic acid are dissolved in 150 parts of water and 5.5 parts of Na2CO3.
6.9 parts of sodium nitrite are added in the form of a concentrated solution. This solution is allowed to flow gradually into a mixture of 45 parts of hydrochloric acid and 50 parts of ice with stirring. The temperature of the reaction mixture is kept at 0 to 10 ° C. The diazo suspension thus formed, free of excess nitrous acid, is allowed to flow into a prepared solution of 15.3 parts of aminohydroquinone dimethyl ether in 150 parts of water and sufficient hydrochloric acid until it is acidic to the Congo.
It is stirred well and the temperature, initially 10 C, gradually brought to 20 to 25 C. The coupling is complete after about 15 hours of stirring. The red-brown aminoazo compound formed is largely excreted as a poorly soluble body.
A further 30 parts of hydrochloric acid are added, the temperature is increased to 60 ° C. and 6.9 parts (-I- slight excess) of sodium nitrite in the form of a concentrated aqueous solution are allowed to flow in with thorough stirring. After the nitrite is no longer consumed, it is stirred for a short time and allowed to cool.
The yellow-brown diazo body which has separated out is expediently filtered off and, in the moist state, stirred into a cooled solution of 13.8 parts of salicylic acid, 5 parts of 10% NaOH and 20 parts of Na 2 CO 2. The coupling is smooth.
The mixture is stirred for a few more hours, finally heated to 400 ° C. and cooled; the disazo dye formed is precipitated by acidification with hydrochloric acid, filtered off and converted into the aluminum salt in the usual way.
