EMI0001.0007
EMI0001.0015
mit N-4'-Oxy-3'-carboxypheny 1- 2 - amino-5- oxynaphtha.Iin-7-sulfons'äure in alkalischem Medium kuppelt.
Process for the preparation of a trisazo dye. The subject of the main patent is a process for the production of a new trisazo dye, in which the diazo compound of the amino disazo dye of the formula
EMI0001.0007
with N-4'-oxy-3'-carboxyp.henyl - 2 - amino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid in an alkaline medium.
It has now been found that a new, likewise valuable trisazo dye is obtained if the diazo compound of the amino disazo dye of the formula
EMI0001.0015
with N-4'-oxy-3'-carboxypheny 1- 2-amino-5-oxynaphtha.Iin-7-sulfonic acid in alkaline medium.
The new trisazo dye dyes in blue tones, draws nouns on cotton, viscose artificial silk or linen and can be mixed with. Use wool dyes to dye wool-cotton or wool-viscose artificial silk blends. The purity of the colors can be improved by treating them with copper or chromium salt solutions.
Example: 233 parts of 1-amino-2-oxv-3-carboxybenzene-5-sulfonic acid are dissolved in sodium carbonate, mixed with 69 parts of sodium nitrite and allowed to run into a mixture of ice and hydrochloric acid. The diazo solution is combined with a soda-alkaline solution of 223 parts of 1-aminonaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid and, after addition of sodium acetate, coupled with acidic acid.
The mixture is stirred for some time, sodium carbonate is added until it has a soda-alkaline reaction and the aminoazo dye is also diazotized in such a way that the dye solution mixed with sodium nitrite is allowed to flow into hydrochloric acid and then sodium acetate is added until it reacts with acetic acid.
The diazo compound is then filtered off with suction and combined with a further 223 parts of 1-aminonaphthalin-7-suiIfonsätire in the form of the sodium salt to form the aminodisazo dye. The sodium salt of this dye which separates out is filtered off with suction, diazotized as usual, and combined with 343 parts of N-4'-oxy-3'-carboxyphenyl-2-anlino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonside under alkaline conditions to give the trisazo dye. It is salted out, vacuumed and dried.
The trisazo dye delivers blue tones on cotton with good fastness properties, which can be improved by post-treating with: Chromium salt solutions.
