  Verfahren     zur    Darstellung eines echten blauen     Schwefelfarbstoffes.       Es     wurde    gefunden, dass die in den  Schweizer. Patenten Nr. 122072, 122270 und  122271 beschriebenen     Chinonküpenfarbstoffe,     die man durch Kondensation der     Arylamino-          derivate    von     o-Aminoarylmerkaptanen    der  allgemeinen Formel:

    oder ihrer     Äquivalente    mit     Arylchinonen     und ihren Derivaten,     insbesondere    ihren       Halogensubstitutionsprodukten,    erhält, und  welche wahrscheinlich folgende Zusammen  setzung haben:

  Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich nun auf  die Darstellung eines echten blauen     Schwe-          felf        arbstof    f es durch Behandeln des Konden  sationsproduktes     (Chinonküpenfarbstoffes)     aus     5-Phenylamino-3-methyl-2.1-aminothio-          phenol    und     Chloranil    von der wahrschein  lichen Formel:

      Trocken ist der so erhaltene Farbstoff  ein blaues Pulver, das in Schwefelsäure mit  blauer Farbe löslich ist, und färbt Baum  wolle im     Schwefelnatriumbade    oder in der       Küpe    in neinblauen Tönen von hervorragen  der Wasch- und Lichtechtheit.

Der Sprit  wird     abdestilliert,    der Rückstand mit Salz-         lösung    verdünnt und der abgeschiedene  Farbstoff filtriert, gewaschen und getrocknet.

Trocken ist der so erhaltene Farbstoff . ein blaues Pulver, das in Schwefelsäure mit blauer Farbe löslich ist, und färbt Baum wolle im Schwefelnatriumbade oder in der Küpe in neinblauen Tönen von hervorragen der ZVaseh- und Lichtechtheit.
