Abstract

MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA FORMAR UMA CéLULA DE COMBUSTìVEL, CONJUNTO DE ELETRODO DE MEMBRANA, MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA FORMAR UM COMPONENTE DE CéLULA DE COMBUSTìVEL, COMPOSIçãO CURáVEL PARA VEDAR OS COMPONENTES DA CéLULA DE COMBUSTìVEL, E, CéLULA ELETROQUìMICA. Uma célula de combustível tendo vedação aperfeiçoada contra o vazamento, que inclui um agente de vedação disposto sobre as porções periféricas de um conjunto de eletrodo de membrana, de tal modo que o agente de vedação curado penetre em uma camada de difusão de gás do conjunto de eletrodo de membrana. O agente de vedação é aplicado através de técnicas de moldagem por injeção de líquido, de modo a formar uma composição de agente de vedação curada nas porções periféricas do conjunto de eletrodo de membrana . O agente de vedação pode ser curado termicamente em baixas temperaturas, por exemplo de 130<198>C ou menos, ou pode ser curado em temperatura ambiente, através da aplicação de radiação actinica. O agente de vedação pode ser um agente de vedação de uma única parte ou de duas partes. O agente de vedação inclui um material polimerizável, tal que um monómero polimerizável, oligómero, polímero telequélico, polímero funcional e combinações dos mesmos, funcionalizadas com um grupo selecionado a partir de epóxi, alila vinila, (met) acrilato, imida, amida, uretano e combinações dos mesmos. Componentes de célula de combustível úteis a serem ligados incluem uma placa de campo de fluxo de catodo, uma placa de campo de fluxo de anodo, uma armação de resina, uma camada de difusão de gás, uma camada de catalisador de anodo, uma camada de catalisador de catodo, um eletrólito de membrana, uma armação de conjunto de eletrodo de membrana, e combinações dos mesmos.
