Abstract

<B>APERFEIçOAMENTO EM PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR TRIMETILOLPROPANO COM BAIXO TEOR DE COR<D> é descrito um processo para adquirir trimetilolpropano bruto (TMP) de cor com baixa reação. O TMP é preparado geralmente pela condensação de n-butiraldeído e formaldeído em uma solução alcalina. A mistura é então concentrada e colocada através de um extrator. Verificou-se que uma concentração elevada de TMP com baixo teor de cor está presente no extrator e pode ser obtida tomando uma entrada de fluido de matéria orgânica quente/água/TMP do extrator e permitindo que a mistura resfrie e separe em fase. Após separação das fases, o TMP tendo geralmente uma cor de lavagem de ácido de aproximadamente ou inferior a 5 GU é recuperado da fase de água. é descrito o uso de um extrator de estágio único e vários estágios.
