Abstract
DISPOSITIVO DE IMAGEM. Um dispositivo de imagem é descrito para projetar feixes de laser controláveis individualmente sobre uma superfície de imagem que é móvel em relação ao dispositivo em uma direção X de referência. O dispositivo inclui uma pluralidade de chips semicondutores, cada um dos quais compreende uma pluralidade de elementos emissores de feixes de laser arranjados em uma matriz principal bidimensional de linhas M e colunas N. Os elementos em cada linha têm um espaçamento uniforme Ar e os elementos em cada coluna têm um espaçamento uniforme. Os chips são montados em um suporte de modo que cada par de chips que é adjacente um ao outro em uma direção Y de referência, transversal à direção X, estão deslocados um do outro na direção X e, quando ativados continuamente, os feixes de laser emitidos dos dois chips do referido par traçam sobre a superfície de imagem um conjunto de linhas paralelas que se estendem na direção X e são substancialmente uniformemente espaçadas na direção Y. Além das linhas M e colunas N de elementos da matriz principal, cada chip compreende pelo menos uma coluna adicional em cada lado da matriz principal, cada coluna contendo pelo menos um elemento emissor de laser operável seletivamente capaz de compensar qualquer desalinhamento na direção Y no posicionamento relativo dos chips adjacentes no suporte.
