Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformalize the illuminance of the images formed on the surface of a photoreceptor and eliminate the uneven densities of character images or the like by disposing light emitting diodes near the central part of convergent optical transmission bodies. CONSTITUTION:A convergent optical transmission body unit 12 is of the constitution wherein plural pieces of convergent optical transmission bodies 13 opposing at one end face to the surface of a photoreceptor 5 are arranged zigzag in a direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the photoreceptor 11. A light emitting diode unit 14 wherein plural light emitting diodes 15 are opposed respectively to near the central parts of the other end faces of the bodies 13 is provided, and electrostatic latent images 16 are formed on the photoreceptor 11. In the example shown in the figure, five pieces of light emitting diodes 15 are arrayed respectively in one array opposite to near the central parts of the respective convergent optical transmission bodies 13, and the upper step and the lower step are disposed zigzag.
