Abstract

Se divulga un dispositivo de proyección de imagen para proyectar rayos láser individualmente controlables sobre una superficie de proyección de imagen que es móvil con respecto al mismo en una dirección X de referencia. El dispositivo incluye una pluralidad de chips semiconductores cada uno de los cuales comprende una pluralidad de elementos emisores de rayo láser controlables individualmente dispuestos en una matriz bidimensional de M filas y N columnas. Los elementos de cada fila tienen un espaciado uniforme Ar y los elementos en cada columna tienen un espaciado uniforme ac. Los chips se montan sobre un soporte de tal manera que cada par de chips que son adyacentes entre sí en una dirección Y de referencia, transversal a la dirección X, se compensan entre sí en la dirección X y, cuando se activan continuamente, los rayos láser emitidos por los dos chips de dicho par trazan sobre la superficie de proyección de imagen un conjunto de líneas paralelas que se extienden en la dirección X y están separadas de manera substancialmente uniforme en la dirección Y. Los chips están dispuestas en al menos un par de filas sobre el soporte y la alineación de los chips dentro de los pares de filas es tal que los elementos correspondientes en cualquier grupo de tres chips adyacentes en las direcciones X y Y se encuentran en los ápices de triángulos equiláteros congruente y el dispositivo de proyección de imagen además comprende una pluralidad de sistemas de lentes, cada uno sirve para enfocar los rayos láser de todos los elementos láser de uno de los respectivos chips sobre la superficie de proyección de imagen sin modificar la separación entre los rayos láser. Cada sistema de lente puede comprender un solo cilindro de índice de gradiente (GRIN), o una pluralidad de cilindros GRIN dispuestos en serie uno con el otro.
