uso de proteínas da família glicosideo hidrolase no processamento de celulose. a presente invenção fornece proteínas gh61 recombinantes obtidas a partir de myceliophtora thermophila e ácidos nucleicos que codificam tais proteínas. a presente invenção fornece também frações de proteínas isoladas do sobrenadante de m. thermophila com atividade de proteínas gh61. esses preparados podem ser utilizados para aumentar o rendimento de produtos de reações nas quais um substrato contendo celulose é submetido à sacarificação por uma ou mais enzimas celulase, tais cono endoglucanase, <225>-glicosidase ou celobiohidrolase. podem ser utilizadas combinações de proteínas de proteína gh61 e celulases para quebrar a biomassa celulósica em açúcares fermentáveis na produção de etanol.
