Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE FORMIATO DE METILA ATRAVéS DA REAçãO DE METANOL COM MONóXIDO DE CARBONO". A invenção refere-se a um processo para produzir formiato de metila por meio de reação de metanol com monóxido de carbono a uma pressão de 0,5 - 10 MPa abs. e uma temperatura de 50 - 150<198>C na presença de um alcoolato de metal como um catalisador em um reator, sendo que um fluxo de gás é extraído do reator, formiato de metila arrastado por referidos fluxos de gás é separado por meio de condensação, e o fluxo de gás remanescente é devolvido ao reator, quer totalmente ou parcialmente, como um fluxo de gás de circulação. Em pelo menos uma área do reator, em que o gás flui essencialmente em uma direção, a velocidade média do gás pelo tubo vazio é ajustada entre 1-20 cm/s.
