Abstract
"MANCAL E MéTODO DE PRODUZIR UM MANCAL". Um mancal isento de chumbo que inclui uma camada de mancal metálico em pó com matriz de bronze ligado a uma base de aço totalmente adensada. O material do mancal têm cerca de 8 a 12% em peso de estanho, cerca de 1 a menos de 5% em peso de bismuto, e cerca de 0,03 a 0,08% em peso de fósforo, com o restante sendo cobre. O estanho é solúvel no cobre para produzir a matriz de bronze, e o bismuto existe como ilhas não dissolvidas finamente dispersas ao longo da matriz. Tais mancais apresentam propriedades físicas comparáveis ou melhores do que aquelas de mancais tradicionais de bronze-chumbo e propriedades melhoradas de desgaste por gripamento.
