Abstract
"CABO, COMPOSIçãO, E, MéTODO PARA MANTER A CAPACIDADE DE ISOLAMENTO EM UM CABO SOB CONDIçõES DE FOGO". Cabo que compreende pelo menos um condutor e pelo menos uma camada de revestimento resistente ao fogo que inclui uma composição que compreende: (a) pelo menos um polímero orgânico que tem uma faixa de temperatura de combustão compreendida entre um valor mínimo T~ 1~ e um valor máximo T~ 2~; (b) pelo menos uma frita de vidro; (c) pelo menos um composto inerte; em que: - o dito composto inerte (c) tem um ponto de amolecimento ou uma temperatura de fusão de não menos do que 1000<198>C; - a dita frita de vidro (b) atinge uma viscosidade de entre 10^ 7^ poise e 10^ 8^ poise em uma faixa de temperatura selecionada que inclui a faixa de temperatura de combustão do dito polímero orgânico (a), a dita faixa de temperatura selecionada sendo tal que a dita frita de vidro (b) escoa sobre o dito composto inerte (c) e o polímero orgânico queimado (a) de modo a formar uma camada de revestimento resistente ao fogo de matéria carbonizada sólida.
