Abstract
"CATALISADORES PARA A DESIDROGENAçãO OXIDATIVA DE HIDROCARBONETOS". A invenção presente provê um catalisador para a desidrogenação oxidativa de um hidrocarboneto inferior para formar pelo menos um hidrocarboneto superior e/ou olefina inferior. Numa incorporação, o catalisador inclui um oxicarbonato de terra rara não estequiométrico da fórmula M~ x~C~ y~O~ z~ tendo uma estrutura desordenada e/ou defeituosa, onde M é pelo menos um elemento terra rara selecionado do grupo consistindo de La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, e Tm; X = 2; Z = 3 + AY; A é menor que cerca de 1,8; e Y é o número de átomos de carbono no oxicarbonato. Quando usado para a desidrogenação oxidativa de um hidrocarboneto inferior numa pressão acima de 100 psig, o catalisador tem uma seletividade de pelo menos 40 por cento para pelo menos um hidrocarboneto superior e/ou olefina inferior.
