Abstract
Provee un catalizador para la deshidrogenacion oxidante de un hidrocarburo inferior para formar por lo menos un hidrocarburo superior y/o una olefina inferior. En una modalidad, el catalizador incluye un oxicarbonato de tierra rara, no estequiométrico, de la formula MXCYOZ, que tiene una estructura desordenada y/o defectuosa; donde M es por lo menos un elemento de tierra rara, seleccionado del grupo que consiste de La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er y Tm; X = 2; Z =3 + AY; A es menor que aproximadamente 1.8; e Y es el numero de átomos de carbono en el oxicarbonato.
