Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la oxidación selectiva del hidrógeno, el cual comprende poner en contacto un efluente de la zona de deshidrogenación que comprende una mezcla de hidrocarburos sin convertir, hidrocarburos deshidrogenados, hidrógeno y vapor, con un gas que contiene oxígeno, en la presencia de un catalizador de oxidación, que consta esencialmente de un metal noble del Grupo VIII, un metal del Grupo IVA y un metal del Grupo IA o IIA compuestos sobre un soprote de alúmina que se ha calcinado a una temperatura en el margen de 900 a 1500 grados C, aproximadamente, antes de la impregnación sobre todas las porciones metálicas del catalizador de oxidación, con condiciones de oxidación, para oxidar selectivamente el hidrógeno en el efluente para la exclusión substancial de oxidación de los hidrocarburos sin convetir y deshidrogenados y en seguida retirar y recuperar los hidrocarburos deshidrogenados.
