A presente invenção refere-se a um novo processo para a produção de uma forma amorfa aperfeiçoada da proxetil cefpodoxima [(6R-[6<244>,7<225>(Z))]-7-[E(2-amino-4-tiazolil) (metoxiimino)acetil]amino]-3-(metoximetil)-8-oxo-5-tia-1-azabiciclo [4,2,0]oct-2-eno-2-ácido carboxílico-1[[1-metiletoxi)ácido carboxílico-1-[[(1-metiletoxi)carbonil]oxi] etil éster.
