Abstract
<B><MU>PROCEDIMENTO PARA DAR A PARTIDA A UM PROCESSO DE REDUçãO DIRETA<MV><D> Expõe-se um procedimento para dar a partida a um processo de redução direta para produzir ferro, a partida de um material de alimentação metalífero, em um vaso metalúrgico. O vaso é do tipo que inclui uma pluralidade de lanças/algaravizes de material de alimentação (11, 13). O procedimento de partida inclui as etapas de: (a) preaquecer o vaso; (b) alimentar uma carga de ferro fundido ao vaso e formar um banho fundido no vaso; (c) alimentar material carbonáceo e fundente ao banho fundido, e injetar gás que contém oxigênio, através de uma ou mais lanças/algaravizes de injeção de material de alimentação e carbono de combustão e gás derivado de banho (na eventualidade de estar presente) e, dessa maneira, aquecer o banho fundido e gerar escória; e (d) alimentar material de alimentação metalífero ao vaso, enquanto se prossegue com a alimentação de material carbonáceo e de fundente, e com a injeção de gás que contém oxigênio, e reduzir o material de alimentação metalífero e produzir ferro fundido e, dessa maneira, completar o procedimento de partida.
