Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé pour la transformation de déchets qui contiennent des substances chimiques thermiquement décomposables et/ou qui sont constituées par celles-ci, en produits finaux, tels que le CO, le CO2, le H2O et le HC1, dans lequel les déchets sont soumis, sous une forme permettant leur injection, à un gaz chaud de plasma produit dans un générateur de plasma, en vue de leur décomposition, une telle quantité d'oxygène étant maintenue au moins dans la zone de réaction que les produits de décomposition soient continuellement transformés en les produits finaux; caractérisé en ce qu'on fait passer les déchets dans une zone de réaction chauffée à au moins 2000 degres C.
