Description d'une nouvelle Cafetière.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Revendications:

Description of a new Coffee maker.
Invention of J. Renson, Brussels, rue Franz Merjay, 32. The new coffee maker basically consists of 2 parts, the liquid container (A) and the coffee container (B).
The coffee maker (A), conical or partly conical in shape, is divided into two compartments by the 2 upside-down funnels I and 2, the flexible edges 3 and 4 of which adapt exactly to the coffee maker so that, when fully inserted, they do not not allow a drop of liquid to penetrate.
At the top, the 2 funnels are kept at an equal distance by a ring 5.
The lower compartment of the coffee maker is used to contain the water to be boiled and the upper compartment to receive the drink, that is to say the prepared coffee, ready to be served in cups.
Between the 2 funnels or compartments is placed an asbestos-based cardboard or other insulation to absorb the heat.
To be absolutely certain that the funnels do not come off, it suffices to make a 1/2 dozen small dips inside the coffeemaker. These indentations could have the 1/2 round shape of rivet heads and should be placed immediately above the edge of the upper funnel.
The coffee maker is, as usual, provided with a handle 6, a spout 7 and a cover 8.
The ground coffee container (B), which must have an appropriate weight
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
suitable, is provided with a tube 9 and another tube 10, pierced with many holes, engaging in the first and plugged at the top with an aluminum rivet II, tightening well.
A cover 12, also pierced, closes the container.
It can be tied in many ways.
After pouring cold or hot water into the coffee maker up to the base of the funnels, fill the small container with finely ground coffee, close the lid and place the container on the ring of the two funnels.
The ring having received a pass around and the lower surface of the container as well, these 2 parts, very flat, form without more an irreproachable seal and at the same time a safety valve.
There is no use of a screw-on closure or a faucet, getting dirty easily and inconvenient.
In order to leave a little water in the coffee maker, the tube 9 does not go down to the bottom of the water.
The coffee maker filled with water and ground coffee can be placed on any stove: electric, gas, petroleum or on a stove. The water immediately boiling will form sufficient vapor pressure to force this water out through the 2 tubes and the ground coffee and drop it as ready-to-drink coffee into the upper compartment of the coffeemaker.
The operation is done completely automatically.
And in less than 5 minutes.
The water, the drink and the grounds are always kept separate.
The coffee made in this way is unmistakably healthy, absolutely not irritating and tastes really delicious.
Coffee forgotten on the fire never manages to cook, therefore becomes unhealthy, being protected by insulation.
As the coffee maker is only made of pure aluminum and pure nickel, it cannot produce verdigris, which can happen in tinned copper coffee makers. Claims:
