La fig. 1 montre en coupe verticale une première forme d'exécution ; . La fig. 2 est une coupe sur la ligne d., -B de la fig. 1; La fig. 3 est une coupe suivant la ligne C D de la fig. 1: La fig. 4 est une coupe verticale d'une deuxième forme d'exécution; La fig. 5 est une vue de' détail en coupe verticale d'une troisième forme d'exécution; La fi-. 6 montre une quatrième forme d'exécution ;
Device for the preparation of a coffee infusion. The present invention relates to a device for the preparation of a coffee infusion, comprising a boiling vessel from which the water passes into a filter vessel containing coffee powder.
This device is characterized in that the boiler is connected to the filter container by at least one tube constituting a support, the heat source for causing the water to boil being placed between the boiler and the filter container.
The accompanying drawing shows several embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows in vertical section a first embodiment; . Fig. 2 is a section on line d., -B of FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a section taken along the line C D of FIG. 1: Fig. 4 is a vertical section of a second embodiment; Fig. 5 is a detail view in vertical section of a third embodiment; The fi-. 6 shows a fourth embodiment;
Fig. 7 shows the device of the first embodiment, prepared for transport; Figs. 8 to 12 are detail views; Fig. 13 shows a fifth embodiment; Fig. 14 is a horizontal section taken along line F # F in fig. 13; Fig. 15 shows the device prepared for transport.
The device shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 7 comprises a boiling vessel a seen from a hermetically sealed lid b; a pierced rod c provided with a small siphon d is screwed into the bottom of said boiler. The threaded part of the rod c comes out of the bottom of the container to allow a filter container f to be screwed thereon, by means of a rod e welded to the container itself and at the end g of which a filter cover q is screwed.
The central hole of the rod c is in communication with a central channel of the rod e which has inside the container f four holes lz, h., I, i, communicating with this channel . The small siphon d is in communication with the hole in the rod c, in the upper part of which is screwed the loop Ic serving to tighten the cover b on the boiler.
The receptacle f in which the coffee powder necessary for the preparation of the infusion is placed; is equipped with a hinged support d which can be folded up and a movable handle, support and handle allowing the whole device to be placed on the edge of a cup ii ..
On the container f is placed a second container o formed by a hollow metal casing, of the shape shown in FIG. 10, provided with a handle p and filled inside with asbestos.
This asbestos will be soaked in alcohol and the receptacle is calibrated so as to contain, when the asbestos is soaked, a quantity of alcohol sufficient for the preparation of the fusion and extinguishing spontaneously by exhaustion after preparation. .
The operation of this device is as follows. Fill the filter container f with coffee powder while holding it upside down, after removing the filter cover q. Once the container o is filled, the filter is applied again, the container is fixed to the boiler a cry by screwing the rod e to the rod c on the bottom of the boiler.
Once this is done, the boiler is filled with water, however so that the water level does not reach the top of the small siphon d and the cover is placed on the boiler, tightening it by means of the loop k. Finally, the container o is placed on the filter receptacle which, once lit, burns for a period of time sufficient to boil the water contained in the boiler.
The water having started to boil, the pressure of the steam makes it pass into the siphon d, from where through the hole t it passes into the rod c, then into the rod e and through the holes h, i comes into contact with the coffee powder. This boiling liquid passes through the powder and then falls through the filter into the cup n as an infusion of coffee.
For transport, the rod c is unscrewed from the bottom of the boiler a and the rod e is put in its place after having folded the support l against the container f and removed the filter q to allow part g to be screwed into the bottom. The rod c and the handle iii are then reduced in the container a. and the filter placed on the rod e. The cover b is then placed on the container a and it is fixed as well as the filter by means of the loop li. All these parts thus united can then easily be reduced into the interior of the cup la for transport, as shown in FIG. 7.
With the embodiment said device shown <<FIG. 4 the infusion is obtained as in the first embodiment. In this form, the receptacle f 'and the rod e are established as in the first embodiment, but the rod screwed into the base chi boiler cc is replaced by a tubular body Ir, screwed evenly into this base.
This body is provided in its middle part with radial perforations v communicating with the central opening, into which is screwed a needle rod ii., Closing the perforations v. The rod iv is provided with a button x% It is not necessary to place on the container a lid.
This embodiment works as follows. The container f is filled in the same way as in the first embodiment and then attached to the boiler a. The rod rr is screwed fully into the body ii so that the openings v are closed, after which the boiler is filled with water. The cooking is brought about by placing on the receptacle f one or more tablets J of a solid fuel, such as, for example, solidified alcohol.
When the water is boiling we unscrew the stem? R until the water can flow through the holes v to reach the container f and produce the infusion which then flows into the cup ye .
In fig. 4 there is shown a cup ii. metallic with removable cover.
For transport, the different parts of the device are placed in the boiler a as in the first form. The latter small then be provided with a cover not shown in the drawing. The whole thing can then be housed in the cup there.
In fig. 5 there is shown a detail of a third embodiment. In this, the boiler a is also provided in its bottom with a part u like that described with reference to FIG. 4. The lu rod is provided in its upper part with a washer and an enlarged part which are intended to close an opening z of the cover b of the boiler. On the end 2 of the rod iv is fixed an operating button x and the lower part of this rod is also arranged so as to close the openings v when it is fully screwed.
This embodiment makes it possible to prepare an infusion by simply letting the water flow through the holes v by sufficiently unscrewing the screw lu, or to prepare this infusion with flow under steam pressure, by unscrewing the screw w until the opening z of the cover is blocked by the washer.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 6, the boiler a is set up in the same way as that described with reference to FIG. 1, but has under its bottom an electric heating resistance 3 provided with a plug contact 4.
In fig. 13 and 14 is shown another embodiment of the device in which the boiler is formed by two caps 5, 6, having approximately the same height, and between which a gasket 7 is placed.
The boiler has in its upper part a loop k intended to allow the entire device to be lifted when it is mounted and so that this boiler can be filled it is provided with a plug 8.
The boiler can be completely filled with water without harmful spaces, which eliminates the siphon.
As shown in Figs. 13 and 14, the support for the device on the cup ra is formed. by three small wings 10 which can be folded over the container f '. This device works as follows The caps 5, 6 are joined by means of a hollow rod 11 internally threaded, the stopper 8 is unscrewed and the opening 12 is now closed, the container is filled with water until it overflows. .
The cap is then replaced and the container f, already full of coffee powder, is screwed onto the small pipe e and the water is boiled as in the previous cases.
Although the communication between the filter and the boiler is free through channel 9, 12, the water which completely fills the boiler is kept there by lack of air inlet, because there is no fear of expansion air during heating and the coefficient of expansion of the water is minimal, the latter, except negligible quantities going only to moisten the coffee in the filter, until the moment of boiling or it ash under the pressure steam.
For transport, part 5 is fitted into part 6, the container f and the tubes e and 11 being reduced in the latter, so that the assembly can be housed in the cup ri as shown in FIG. 15.
The parts 5 and 6 could also have screw threads on their edges and be screwed onto one another instead of being joined by the pipe 11 and the screw k.
Fig. 12 shows a variant of detail representing a container f in which the pipe e intended to connect it to the boiler is disposed eccentrically, which makes it possible to place the container containing the fuel or the tablets thereof, in the middle of the upper face of the boiler. this container.
Fuel receptacles, lined with asbestos on the inside and soaked in fuel, such as that shown in fig. 10, can be stored for example in a container 14 (Fig. 8) containing liquid fuel and in which is disposed a support 13 provided with openings 15. This support is intended to receive a container o which bathes in the penetrating fuel. through the openings 15. A cover provided with a sealing washer and fixed to the air support 13 by means of a ring screw 17, closes the container in a sealed manner.
It is also possible to reduce each container o individually in a box of small dimensions as shown in fig. 9; or else place a certain quantity of it in a box of larger dimensions such as that shown in FIG. 11.
In all the embodiments of the devices described, the tube e could be fixed eccentrically on the container f. In this case, the containers containing the fuel can be cylindrical in shape, while the hermetic closure of the boiler can be obtained, for example, by screwing the cover onto the boiler.
The cap 5 is that which undergoes the action of heat which naturally over time deteriorates its appearance, even if it is nickel-plated, silver-plated, etc .; but this cap entering the cap 6, the damaged part is hidden and the part remaining visible is shiny. This also makes it possible to be able to shape said cap 5 even out of copper or aluminum, with the advantage of better conductivity and without altering the aesthetics of the device assembled for transport.
The boiler could also consist of a closed container titi, having only the opening through which passes the hollow rod which must place it in communication with the container containing the coffee. This opening would also serve in this case as a filling opening.
