Abstract

Procesos de oxidacion en fase líquida para producir N-(fosfonometil)glicina (conocida también en la industria agroquímica corno glifosato) y compuestos relacionados. También se describen en particular procesos en los que se oxida un sustrato de ácido N-(fosfonometil)iminodiacético para formar un producto de N-(fosfonometil)glicina, el cual a su vez, es cristalizado (al menos en parte) en un cristalizador adiabático. Reivindicacion 1: Un proceso para elaborar un producto N-(fosfonometil)glicina, caracterizado porque comprende: introducir un flujo de alimentacion acuosa que comprende un sustrato de ácido N-(fosfonometil)iminodiacético dentro de un sistema de reactor de oxidacion; oxidar el sustrato de ácido N-(fosfonometil)iminodiacético en el sistema de reactor de oxidacion en presencia de un catalizador de oxidacion para producir una solucion del producto de reaccion que contiene un producto N(fosfonometil)glicina; precipitar cristales del producto N-(fosfonometil)glicina, de la solucion del producto de reaccion para producir una lechada primaria del producto que comprende cristales precipitados del producto N-(fosfonometil)glicina y un licor madre primario; y evaporar el agua del licor madre primario, precipitando en consecuencia cristales adicionales del producto N-(fosfonometil)glicina y produciendo un licor madre secundario.
