Abstract

Se relaciona con una mezcla de alcoxilatos que tiene la fórmula C4H9C(C2H5)HCH2O-(PO)m-H en la cual PO es una unidad de propilenoxi, EO es una unidad de etilenoxi, n tiene un valor medio en el rango de 1,6 - 3,3, por cada grupo 2-etilhexilo y m tiene un valor medio en el rango de 3,0 - 5,5 por cada grupo 2-etilhexilo y contiene menos de 1,5% en peso de 2-etilhexanol sin reaccionar, mezcla ésta que se obtiene mediante la reacción de 2-etilhexanol en un primer paso con óxido de propileno y, en un segundo paso, de la mezcla propoxilada obtenida con el óxido de etileno. La mezcla de alcoxilatos es un buen tensioactivo de limpieza y agente humectante y también es fácilmente biodegradable.
