Abstract
Description
低発泡性の非イオン性界面活性剤は、硬質表面洗浄剤としての洗剤およびすすぎ補助剤製品に有用であり得る。このような洗剤およびすすぎ補助製品は、自動食器洗い機、金属洗浄、ボトル洗浄、床掃除、窓掃除、および食品および飲料処理の洗浄に使用することができる。環境への長期的な影響を回避するには、生分解性の低発泡性非イオン性界面活性剤が特に望ましい。低発泡性の生分解性非イオン性界面活性剤の例が知られているが、それらは生分解性を達成するためにいくつかの技術的制限を有する。
実施例1~4および比較例A~Cの発泡特性を、ASTMD1173-53のガイドラインに従ったRoss-Miles発泡試験とWaring Blender発泡試験の2つの方法で試験する。Waring Blender発泡試験では、0.1重量%濃度の脱イオン水中の界面活性剤溶液200mlを、Waring(商標)Laboratory Blender(Waring Commercialのモデル31DM33)の1リットルの容器に添加する。基礎液の量を記録する。次に、ブレンダーを60秒間高速で回転させ、溶液を攪拌する。ブレンダーを停止し、ブレンダーを停止してから0秒、30秒、90秒後に溶液と泡の総量を記録する。
ビニールタイルなどの硬質表面の脂性汚れの除去は、界面活性剤によって容易となる。硬質表面洗浄効率を評価する従来の業界試験は、ガードナースクラブ試験(ASTMD-2486)である。ハイスループットの硬質表面洗浄効率試験後にASTMD-2486方式を使用して、実施例1~4および比較実施例A~Cの界面活性剤の硬質表面洗浄効率を評価する。洗浄レベルは、洗浄後のスクラブスポットの「グレー値」によって決定する。グレー値が高いほど、スクラブされたスポットはより白く(つまり、より多くの脂性汚れが除去されたため)、洗浄効率がより優れている。洗浄度合いは、直接目視観察によって、洗浄後のこすった部分の白色度と比較することもできる。
実施例1~4および比較例A~Cの金属洗浄性能試験を、JB/T 4323.2-1999「水性金属洗浄剤の試験方法」の修正された方法で実施した。各実施例の試験を、次の手順で実行した。
1)「油汚れ」混合物を、2部のN32HL機械油、1部のワセリンおよび1部のバリウム石油スルホネートを120℃で混合することによって調製する。次に、油汚れ混合物を使用する温度まで冷却する。
2)研磨された45#鋼板(40mm×13mm×2mm)を、吸収性綿を使用して石油ナフサとエタノールで洗浄し、次に乾燥機で乾燥する。
4)ガラス棒を使用して、油汚れの薄層を各プレートに塗布する。鋼板の端にある余分な油汚れをティッシュペーパーで拭き取る。鋼板の油汚れの総重量は、1板あたり50mg~60mgの範囲で制御する。
5)3重量%のトリポリリン酸ナトリウム(Sigma-Aldrichから入手可能)、2重量%のメタケイ酸ナトリウム(Sigma-Aldrichから入手可能)、0.5重量%のEDTA-4Na(Sigma-Aldrichから入手可能)、5重量%の界面活性剤および残りを水にて異なる洗剤配合物を調製する。次に、使用のために、洗剤を脱イオン水で1:19の比率(重量比)に希釈する。
6)油汚れでコーティングされた各鋼板を別々の洗剤溶液に入れ、超音波エネルギーを洗剤溶液に約10秒間適用する。各板を取り外し、すすぎの目的で1~2秒間脱イオン水に入れる。鋼板の表面は、油汚れの残留物を目視で確認する。鋼板表面に油汚れがない場合、洗浄時間は10秒として記録する。鋼板の表面にまだ油汚れが残っている場合は、プレート表面に油汚れがなくなるまで超音波洗浄とすすぎのサイクルを繰り返す。超音波とすすぎの合計時間を洗浄時間として記録する。
