Abstract
La presente invencion se basa sobre el descubrimiento acerca de que los oxalatos sin titanilo pueden mejorar la funcionalidad catalítica de catalizadores de oxalato de titanilo. Esta invencion proporciona una novedosa composicion catalítica que contiene un catalizador de oxalato de titanilo y un mejorador del catalizador de oxalato metálico y ûde manera opcional- contiene un cocatalizador metálico, tal como un catalizador a base a antimonio. Se ha descubierto una relacion sinergística entre el catalizador de titanil oxalato y el mejorador del catalizador. Del mismo modo se ha encontrado una relacion sinergística entre el catalizador de titanil oxalato, el mejorador del catalizador y un cocatalizador metálico, tal como un acetato de antimonio u oxido de antimonio. Además se proporciona un procedimiento mejorado para la produccion de poliéster mediante la policondensacion de reactivos formadores de poliéster en presencia de un nivel eficaz- desde el punto de vista catalítico- de un catalizador de policondensacion, donde la mejora consiste en utilizar como catalizador de policondensacion la novedosa composicion catalizadora que contiene un oxalato de titanilo, tal como oxalato de titanil litio y un mejorador del catalizador, tal como un oxalato metálico sin titanilo, como el oxalato de litio y que opcionalmente contiene un catalizador metálico, tal como un oxido de antimonio o bien triacetato de antimonio. El procedimiento mejorado produce un poliéster mejorado que posee un menor numero de acetaldehído y buen color. La composicion (oxalato de titanilo) mejorador del catalizador puede utilizarse como un catalizador de policondensacion en combinacion con otros catalizadores a fin de alcanzar una actividad catalítica sinergística. Se prefiere una combinacion de oxalato de titanil litio o potasio Li2 o K2TiO(C2-O4), oxalato de litio o potasio Li2 o K2(C2-O4) con oxido de antimonio o triacetato de antimonio o trisglicoxido de antimonio.
