Abstract
Un proceso para preparar un material de poliuretano que no tiene temperatura de transicion vítrea por debajo de 25 degree C, dicho proceso comprende hacer reaccionar un poliisocianato y una composicion reactiva al isocianato, en forma opcional en presencia de agua en una cantidad menor del 5% en peso en base a la composicion reactiva al isocianato de más abajo, donde la reaccion se lleva a cabo a un índice de isocianato de 80 a 140, el poliisocianato comprende a) 80 a 100% en peso de difenilmetano diisocianato que comprende por lo menos 40% preferiblemente por lo menos 60% y de máxima preferencia por lo menos 85% en peso de 4,4'-difenilmetano diisocianato y/o una variante de difenilmetano diisocianato donde dicha variante es un líquido a 25 degree C y tiene un índice de NCO de por lo menos 20% en peso (poliisocianato a), y b) 20% a 0% en peso de otro poliisocianato (poliisocianato b), y donde la composicion reactiva al isocianato comprende a) 80 a 100% en peso de un poliéster poliol que tiene una funcionalidad nominal promedio de 3 a 8, un peso equivalente promedio de 200 a 2.000, un peso molecular promedio de 600 a 8.000, un contenido de oxietileno (OE) de 50 a 100% y preferiblemente de 75 a 100% en peso, y un contenido de oxhidrilo primario de 70 a 100% calculado sobre el numero de grupos oxhidrilo primarios y secundarios en el poliol, b) un agente de extension de cadena y/o agente de entrecruzamiento reactivo al isocianato en una cantidad tal que la relacion de bloque duro es de 0,60 o mayor, y preferiblemente de por lo menos 0,65, y c) 20 a 0% en peso de uno o más de otros compuestos reactivos al isocianato excluyendo el agua, la cantidad de poliol a) y compuestos reactivos al isocianato c) se calculan sobre la cantidad total de este poliol a) y compuesto c).
