Abstract

Se describe como una composicion de prepolímero de isocianato particular, especialmente apropiada para uso en composiciones de poliuretano que tienen aplicabilidad particular para producir artículos moldeados de poliuretano microcelular particularmente apropiados para uso como dispositivos de sello. En particular, la composicion de prepolímero de isocianato es el resultado de hacer reaccionar una mezcla de isocianato (a) que tiene: (i) 0 a 10 partes en peso de diisocianato de 2,4'-difenilmetano; (ii) 30 a 80 partes en peso de diisocianato de 4,4'-difenilmetano; (iii) 1 a 10 partes en peso de una mezcla de uretoniminai que contiene de 10 a 70 partes en peso de un poliol (b) que tiene un numero de peso molecular promedio de entre 1,000 y 10,000 y un numero hidroxilo de entre 10 a 75. El prepolímero de isocianato (I) resultante tiene un NCO libre de menos de 20 y una viscosidad de 200 a 1000 cPs.
