Abstract

Se describe como una composicion particular de prepolímero de isocianato, particularmente apropiada para utilizarse en composiciones de poliuretano que tienen aplicabilidad particular para producir artículos moldeados de poliuretano particularmente apropiados para uso como dispositivos selladores. En particular, la composicion de prepolímero de isocianato es el resultado de hacer reaccionar una mezcla de isocianato (a) que tiene (i) 0 a 10 partes en peso de diisocianato de 2.4'-difenilmetano; (ii) 40 a 90 partes en peso de diisocianato de 4,4'-difenilmetano; (iii) 1 a 10 partes en peso de oligomeros de 3 anillos de poliisocianato de polimetileno polifenilo; (iv) 1 a 20 partes en peso de oligomeros de n anillos de poliisocianato de polimetileno polifenilo (n siendo mayor que 3); y (v) 1 a 10 partes en peso de una mezcla de uretonimina con 5 a 50 partes en peso de un propilenglicol propoxilado 9b) que tiene un numero de peso molecular promedio de entre 2000 y 6000 y, un numero hidroxilo de entre 10 a 75. El prepolímero de isocianato (I) resultante tiene un NCO libre de 20 a 30 y una viscosidad de 50 a 500 cPs.
