Abstract
L'invention concerne une bague d'étanchéité ayant une résistance améliorée lorsqu'elle est assemblée dans une rainure annulaire même si ladite bague est une bague d'étanchéité PPS de petit diamètre. Cette bague d'étanchéité (1) est un article moulé d'une composition de résine de sulfure de polyphénylène et est pourvue d'un joint (5) dans un emplacement. La bague d'étanchéité (1) comporte également, sur les deux côtés d'une partie opposée au joint (5F), des parties à paroi mince (6), l'épaisseur dans la direction radiale de la bague étant réduite au niveau d'une surface périphérique interne (3) de la bague, les parties à paroi mince ayant un module d'élasticité à la flexion de 10 000 Mpa ou moins et une déformation en flexion dépassant 2,0 %. L'épaisseur dans la direction radiale des parties à paroi mince est de 50 à 70 % de l'épaisseur dans la direction radiale de la partie opposée au joint (5F).
