Abstract
Description
本実施例では、廃リチウムイオン電池として、電池製品としての寿命の消尽した使用済みのリチウムイオン電池を塩水中で放電処理(STEP1)し、筐体に開口部を形成(STEP2)した後、電気炉中、不活性ガス雰囲気下で、150℃の温度に4時間保持して加熱処理(STEP3)を行った。前記加熱処理における排ガスからフッ素は検出されず、加熱処理後の臭気の残留も無かった。
本比較例では、廃リチウムイオン電池を電気炉中、600℃の温度に保持して加熱処理(焙焼)を行った以外は、実施例と全く同一にして、電池粉末を得た。前記加熱処理における排ガスからは0.5mg/Lのフッ素が検出されたが、加熱処理後の臭気の残留は無かった。
Claims (4)
- 廃リチウムイオン電池を、電解液が乾燥蒸発する温度以上であってフッ素樹脂が熱分解する温度未満の範囲の温度で加熱処理することを特徴とする廃リチウムイオン電池の処理方法。
- 請求項1記載の廃リチウムイオン電池の処理方法において、前記廃リチウムイオン電池を前記加熱処理後に粉砕して電池粉末を得ることを特徴とする廃リチウムイオン電池の処理方法。
- 請求項1記載の廃リチウムイオン電池の処理方法において、前記廃リチウムイオン電池を粉砕した後に前記加熱処理を行って電池粉末を得ることを特徴とする廃リチウムイオン電池の処理方法。
- 請求項1~請求項3のいずれか1項記載の廃リチウムイオン電池の処理方法において、前記加熱処理は、100~450℃の範囲の温度で行うことを特徴とする廃リチウムイオン電池の処理方法。
