  • the present invention relates to a shock absorber provided in a saddle-riding vehicle for attenuating vibration energy, and a method for manufacturing the shock absorber.
  • a front fork as a shock absorber installed in a saddle-riding vehicle represented by a motorcycle or a tricycle. Part of the energy such as vibration received from the road surface while the saddle-riding vehicle is running is damped by the front fork that supports the front wheels.
  • a conventional technique relating to a front fork for example, there is a technique disclosed in Patent Document 1.
  • the shock absorber as shown in Patent Document 1 is provided with a coil spring inside.
  • the lower end of the coil spring is supported by the lower spring receiver.
  • the upper end of the coil spring is supported by an upper tubular spring receiver fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder.
  • the spring receiver is provided between the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder and the inner peripheral surface of the inner tube.
  • the front fork receives a bending load (force in the direction intersecting the axial direction of the front fork) via the front wheels.
  • a bending load force in the direction intersecting the axial direction of the front fork
  • the bending load also acts on the upper spring receiver.
  • Most of the upper spring receivers so far have been made of a metal material such as an aluminum alloy in order to satisfy the conditions such as strength required for the spring receiver. There is room for improvement in the spring holder in order to reduce the weight and cost of the front fork.
  • An object of the present invention is to provide a shock absorber or the like that can reduce the weight and cost.
  • the present inventor has provided a spring seat portion corresponding to the above-mentioned "upper spring receiver” provided between the first cylinder and the second cylinder as the first cylinder.
  • the spring seat By arranging the spring seat in a form that allows the movement of the spring seat in the direction (radial direction) intersecting the axial direction of the first cylinder without being in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the first cylinder, it is possible to release the bending load. It was found that it would be.
  • the strength condition required for the spring seat can be reduced, so that the spring seat can be made of resin and the shock absorber is lightweight. It was found that the cost can be reduced and the cost can be reduced.

  • the hole is provided in a direction intersecting the axial direction of the spring seat portion.
  • the conventional spring seat portion made of a metal material, it is difficult to reduce the thickness in the radial direction in order to form the spring seat portion having a predetermined strength. Therefore, when the fluid passes through the hole, the fluid collides with the metal material (the side surface of the hole having both radial ends of the spring seat portion open) that defines the hole, and a large flow path resistance is generated. Was there.
  • the present inventor makes it easy to change the resin defining the hole to a desired thickness and shape by making the spring seat portion made of resin, so that it becomes easy to reduce the flow path resistance. As a result, it was also found that the performance of the shock absorber can be easily improved. Further, when manufacturing a conventional spring seat made of a metal material, it is necessary to use a mold for forming the hole. On the other hand, the present inventor can form the hole without using the mold by making the spring seat portion made of resin, so that it becomes easy to reduce the cost of the shock absorber. Description

<実施例1>
第1の筒部50の肉厚Th(ばね座部40の径方向における厚さTh)は一様である。
<実施例2>
<実施例3>
