Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a cable, a method for manufacturing a cable, and a method for removing a protective member.
  • the present application claims priority based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2020-040735 filed in Japan on March 10, 2020, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.
  • Patent Document 1 discloses an optical fiber cable.
  • Such a cable may be provided with a protective member that protects the end of the cable body in order to facilitate the work of pulling the cable into a duct or the like of a building. While the protective member needs to be firmly fixed to the cable body, if an adhesive having a large adhesive force is used, a large amount of adhesive residue may remain on the cable body after the protective member is removed. If a large amount of adhesive residue remains, a large amount of time is required for cleaning work to remove the residue, which has been a factor in reducing the efficiency of cable installation work.
  • the present invention has been made in consideration of such circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a cable capable of streamlining the installation work, a method for manufacturing such a cable, or a method for removing a protective member.
  • the cable according to the first aspect of the present invention includes a cable body, a first adhesive layer in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the cable body, a protective member covering the end of the cable body, and the above.

  • a notch may be formed at the end of the outer peripheral member in the longitudinal direction of the cable body, and a part of the tear cord may be arranged at a position overlapping the notch when viewed from the outside in the radial direction.
  • a part of the peeling auxiliary string may be arranged at a position overlapping the notch when viewed from the outside in the radial direction.
  • the method for manufacturing a cable according to a second aspect of the present invention includes a step of covering at least a part of the cable body in the longitudinal direction with an intermediate member via a first adhesive layer, and a step of covering the intermediate member in the longitudinal direction.
  • the method for removing the protective member according to the third aspect of the present invention is a method for removing the protective member that separates the protective member covering the end of the cable body from the cable body, and linearly along the longitudinal direction of the cable body.
