Description
본 발명은 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
아연 도금 처리한 강재는 산화전위가 더 높은 아연이 소지철보다 먼저 용해되는 희생방식작용과 치밀하게 형성된 아연의 부식생성물이 부식을 지연시키는 부식억제작용 등에 의해 강재를 부식으로부터 보호한다. 그렇지만, 날로 악화되는 부식환경과 자원 및 에너지 절약 측면을 고려하여 내식성 향상에 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다.
일례로, 아연에 알루미늄을 5중량% 또는 55중량% 첨가한 아연-알루미늄 합금 도금이 검토되어 있다. 그러나, 상기 아연-알루미늄 합금 도금은 내식성은 우수하지만, 알칼리 조건에서는 알루미늄이 아연보다 용해하기 쉽기 때문에 장기 내구성 측면에서는 불리하다는 단점이 있다. 이상 기술한 도금 이외에도 다양한 합금 도금이 검토되고 있다.
최근 들어 이러한 노력의 성과로 도금욕에 Mg을 첨가하여 내식성을 대폭적으로 향상시키는 성과를 얻고 있다. 특허문헌 1은 Mg: 0.05~10.0%, Al: 0.1~10.0%및 잔부: Zn 및 불가피한 불순물로 구성되는 Zn-Mg-Al합금 도금층을 특징으로 하는데, 상기 기술은 조대한 도금조직이 형성되거나 특정 조직이 집중적으로 형성되면 우선 부식되는 문제가 있다.
또한, 도금층의 조직을 제어하여 내식성을 향상시키고자 하는 기술로서 특허문헌 2가 있으며, 상기 기술은 Zn-Al-Mg-Si 도금층을 가지며, 이들의 도금층이 Al/Zn/Zn2Mg의 삼원공정 조직중에 Mg2Si상, Zn2Mg상, Al상, Zn상 들이 혼재한 금속 조직을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하나, 그 적용대상이 Si를 함유하는 고강도강에 한정되고 도금조직중에 반드시 Si성분을 포함하여야 하기 때문에 도금용 잉고트 제조비용 증가 및 작업관리가 어려워지는 문제가 있다.
X선 강도비를 제어하여 균일외관을 갖도록 하는 기술로서 특허문헌 3이 있으며, 상기 기술은 Zn합금 도금층 내 Mg2Zn11/MgZn2의 X선 강도비가 0.2 이하이며 Al상의 크기가 200㎛이하인 것을 특징으로 하나, 소재의 사이즈에 따라 민감하게 변하여 작업관리가 어려운 단점이 있다.
금속취화 균열성과 내도막하 팽창부식성을 개선하는 기술로서 특허문헌 4가 있는데, 상기 기술은 X선 회절 강도가 A(회절피크)-B(백그라운드) ≤ 400cps인 조건을 만족하는 것을 특징으로 하나, 내식성이 부족하다는 단점이 있다.

본 발명의 일측면은 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재 및 그 제조방법을 제공하고자 하는 것이다.
본 발명의 일 실시형태는 소지강판; 및 상기 소지강판 상에 형성된 용융합금도금층을 포함하고, 상기 용융합금도금층은 중량%로, Al: 8%초과~25%, Mg: 4%초과~12%, 잔부 Zn 및 기타 불가피한 불순물을 포함하며, 상기 용융합금도금층의 표면 X선회절강도는 하기 관계식 1을 만족하는 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재를 제공한다.

본 발명의 다른 실시형태는 소지강판을 준비하는 단계; 상기 소지강판을 중량%로 Al: 8%초과~25%, Mg: 4%초과~12%, 잔부 Zn 및 기타 불가피한 불순물을 포함하는 도금욕에 통과시켜 용융도금하는 단계; 및 상기 용융도금된 소지강판을 가스와이핑 및 냉각하여 상기 소지강판 상에 용융합금도금층을 형성시키는 단계;를 포함하고, 상기 냉각은 산소/질소의 부피비가 0.18~0.34인 제1가스를 부여하는 제1단계; 질소를 제외한 전체 가스 대비 질소의 부피비가 10~10000인 제2가스를 부여하는 제2단계; 및 상기 용융합금도금층에 레이져 충격파를 인가하는 제3단계;를 포함하는 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재의 제조방법을 제공한다.
본 발명의 일측면에 따르면, 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재 및 그 제조방법을 제공할 수 있으며, 해수부식 혹은 부식가스 등 열악한 부식환경에서 구조물의 수명을 연장하는 장점이 있다.

이하, 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따른 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재에 대하여 설명한다.
본 발명의 용융 합금도금 강재는 소지강판; 및 상기 소지강판 상에 형성된 용융합금도금층을 포함한다.
본 발명에서는 상기 소지철의 종류에 대해 특별히 한정하지 않으며, 예를 들면, 열연강판, 열연산세강판, 냉연강판 등의 강판이나, 선재 또는 강선 등을 이용할 수 있다. 아울러, 본 발명의 소지철은 당해 기술분야에서 강재로 분류되는 모든 종류의 합금조성을 가질 수 있다.
상기 용융합금도금층은 중량%로, Al: 8%초과~25%, Mg: 4%초과~12%, 잔부 Zn 및 기타 불가피한 불순물을 포함하는 것이 바람직하다. 상기 Al은 용탕 제조시 Mg를 안정화하고, 또한 부식환경에서 초기부식을 억제하는 부식장벽 역할을 한다. 상기 Al이 8%이하인 경우에는 용탕 제조시 Mg를 안정화할 수 없어 용탕 표면에 Mg 산화물이 생성되는 단점이 있고, 25%를 초과하는 경우에는 도금욕의 온도를 상승시키고, 도금욕에 설치된 각종 설비의 용식이 심하게 발생하는 문제가 있다. 따라서, 상기 Al의 함량은 8%초과~25%인 것이 바람직하다. 상기 Al 함량의 하한은 10%인 것이 보다 바람직하다. 상기 Al 함량의 상한은 20%인 것이 보다 바람직하다. Mg는 내식성을 발현하는 조직을 형성하는 역할을 한다. 상기 Mg가 4%이하인 경우에는 내식성 발현이 충분하지 않고, 12%를 초과하는 경우에는 도금욕의 온도를 상승시킬 뿐만 아니라, Mg 산화물을 형성시켜 재질 열화와 비용상승 등의 다양한 문제를 야기한다. 따라서, 상기 Mg의 함량은 4%초과~12%인 것이 바람직하다. 상기 Mg 함량의 하한은 5%인 것이 보다 바람직하다. 상기 Mg 함량의 상한은 10%인 것이 보다 바람직하다.
상기 용융합금도금층은 Mg 안정화를 위하여, Be, Ca, Ce, Li, Sc, Sr, V 및 Y로 이루어지는 그룹으로부터 선택된 1종 이상을 합계량으로 0.0005~0.009%의 범위로 추가로 포함할 수 있다. 상기 추가 합금원소들의 함량이 0.0005%미만인 경우에는 실질적으로 Mg 안정화 효과가 나타나지 않고, 0.009%를 초과하는 경우에는 용융도금층이 늦게 응고되어 우선부식이 일어남에 따라 내식성을 해치고, 비용 또한 상승시키는 문제가 있다. 따라서, 상기 Be, Ca, Ce, Li, Sc, Sr, V 및 Y로 이루어지는 그룹으로부터 선택된 1종 이상의 합계량은 0.0005~0.009%의 범위인 것이 바람직하다. 상기 추가 합금원소들의 합계량의 하한은 0.003%인 것이 보다 바람직하다. 상기 합금원소들의 합계량의 상한은 0.008%인 것이 보다 바람직하다.
상기 용융합금도금층은 표면 X선회절강도가 하기 관계식 1을 만족하는 것이 바람직하다. 이때, 상기 X선회절강도는 M - N이며, 상기 M은 2θ=20.00~21°미만인 구간에서의 가장 높은 피크강도를 의미하고, N은 2θ=20.00°에서의 피크강도를 의미한다. 즉, 본 발명에서의 X선회절강도는 2θ=20.00~21°미만인 구간에서의 가장 높은 피크강도에서 2θ=20.00°에서의 피크강도를 뺀 값을 의미한다. 상기 X선회절강도가 2000cps미만인 경우에는 MgZn2상이 부족하게 되어 내부식성이 미흡하다는 단점이 있으며, 20000cps를 초과하면 금속취성이 강하여 가공성이 저하되는 우려가 있다. 따라서, 상기 표면 X선회절강도는 2000~20000cps의 범위를 갖는 것이 바람직하다. 상기 표면 X선회절강도의 하한은 2500cps인 것이 보다 바람직하며, 3000cps인 것이 보다 더 바람직하다. 상기 표면 X선회절강도의 상한은 12000cps인 것이 바람직하다.
[관계식 1] 2000cps ≤ X선회절강도 ≤ 20000cps
상기 용융합금도금층은 다양한 응고상들을 포함할 수 있으며, 예를 들면, Mg, Al 및 Zn과 기타 추가 합금원소들을 포함하는 단일상, 2원공정상, 3원공정상 또는 금속간화합물을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 금속간화합물은 MgZn2, Mg2Zn11 등을 포함할 수 있다.
이하, 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따른 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재의 제조방법에 대하여 설명한다.
우선, 소지강판을 준비한다. 상기 소지강판 준비시, 오일 등 강판 표면에 묻어있는 불순물들을 제거함으로써 상기 소지강판의 표면 청정화를 위하여, 탈지, 세정 또는 산세 공정을 행할 수 있다.
이후, 상기 소지강판은 용융도금 전, 당해 기술분야에서 통상적으로 행하여지는 열처리를 행할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 본 발명에서는 상기 열처리 조건에 대해서 특별히 한정하지 않는다. 다만, 예를 들면, 열처리 온도는 400~900℃일 수 있다. 또한, 예를 들면, 분위기 가스로는 수소, 질소, 산소, 아르곤, 일산화탄소, 이산화탄소, 수분 등을 이용할 수 있으며, 5~20부피%의 수소와 80~95부피%의 질소 가스 등을 이용할 수 있다.
이후, 상기 소지강판을 중량%로 Al: 8%초과~25%, Mg: 4%초과~12%, 잔부 Zn 및 기타 불가피한 불순물을 포함하는 도금욕에 통과시켜 용융도금한다. 상기 도금욕은 Be, Ca, Ce, Li, Sc, Sr, V 및 Y로 이루어지는 그룹으로부터 선택된 1종 이상을 합계량으로 0.0005~0.009%의 범위로 추가로 포함할 수 있다. 한편, 본 발명에서는 도금욕 온도에 대해서 특별히 한정하지 않으며, 당해 기술분야에서 통상적으로 이용되는 도금욕 온도를 이용할 수 있고, 예를 들면, 통상적인 도금욕의 온도는 400~550℃일 수 있다.
이후, 상기 용융도금된 소지강판을 가스와이핑 및 냉각하여 상기 소지강판 상에 용융합금도금층을 형성시킨다. 상기 가스와이핑을 통해 도금부착량을 제어함으로써 얻고자 하는 두께의 용융합금도금층을 형성시킬 수 있다. 한편, 본 발명에서는 상기 냉각시, 아래 설명되는 3단계에 걸친 공정을 수행함으로써 본 발명이 얻고자 하는 X선회절강도를 갖는 용융합금도금층을 형성시키는 것을 특징으로 한다. 만일, 아래 3단계의 공정에 부합되지 않는 경우에는 X선회절강도가 낮아지고, 내식성을 충분히 확보할 수 없으며, 작업환경이 열악해지고, 제조비용이 증가하며, 표면결함 발생이 증가하는 단점이 있다.
먼저, 산소/질소의 부피비가 0.18~0.34인 제1가스를 부여하는 제1단계를 수행한다. 상기 산소/질소의 부피비가 0.18 미만인 경우에는 제조비용이 증가하는 단점이 있고, 0.34를 초과하는 경우에는 표면결함이 발생하는 단점이 있다. 상기 산소/질소의 부피비의 하한은 0.19인 것이 보다 바람직하다. 상기 산소/질소의 부피비의 상한은 0.28인 것이 보다 바람직하다. 한편, 상기 제1가스는 산소와 질소만을 포함하는 것이 바람직하나, 상기 제1가스는 산소 및 질소 외에 본 발명이 얻고자 하는 효과에 영향을 미치지 않는 범위인 0.5부피% 이하로 불순 가스를 더 포함할 수 있으며, 상기 불순 가스는 아르곤, 이산화탄소, 일산화탄소, 수분 중 1종 이상일 수 있다.
이후, 질소를 제외한 전체 가스 대비 질소의 부피비가 10~10000인 제2가스를 부여하는 제2단계를 수행한다. 상기 질소를 제외한 전체 가스 대비 질소의 부피비가 10 미만인 경우에는 제조비용이 증가하는 단점이 있고, 10000을 초과하는 경우에는 표면결함이 발생하는 단점이 있다. 상기 질소를 제외한 전체 가스 대비 질소의 부피비의 하한은 20인 것이 보다 바람직하다. 상기 질소를 제외한 전체 가스 대비 질소의 부피비의 상한은 2000인 것이 보다 바람직하다. 한편, 상기 제2가스는 질소 외에 산소, 수분, 아르곤, 이산화탄소, 일산화탄소 중 1종 이상일 수 있다.
이후, 상기 용융합금도금층에 레이져 충격파를 인가한다. 상기 레이져 충격파 인가는 상기 용융합금도금층의 표면에 마이크로미터 단위의 미세주름을 형성시키기 위한 것이다. 본 발명에서는 상기 효과를 얻을 수 있는 것이라면, 상기 레이져 충격파 인가시 조건에 대해서 특별히 한정하지 않는다. 다만, 예를 들면, 20~100P/sec의 펄스 및 20~1000W의 전력을 이용하여 레이져 충격파를 인가할 수 있다.
이하, 실시예를 통하여 본 발명을 보다 구체적으로 설명하고자 한다. 다만, 하기의 실시예는 본 발명을 예시하여 보다 상세하게 설명하기 위한 것일 뿐, 본 발명의 권리범위를 한정하기 위한 것이 아니라는 점에 유의할 필요가 있다. 본 발명의 권리범위는 특허청구범위에 기재된 사항과 이로부터 합리적으로 유추되는 사항에 의해 결정되는 것이기 때문이다.
(실시예)
두께가 0.8mm인 저탄소강 냉연강판을 준비한 뒤, 상기 냉연강판을 탈지하고, 이후, 10vol%수소-90vol%질소로 구성되는 환원성 분위기에서 800℃로 열처리하였다. 이후, 상기 열처리된 소지강판을 450℃의 합금도금욕에 침적하여 용융도금한 후, 용융합금도금층의 두께가 약 10㎛가 되도록 가스와이핑을 통해 도금부착량을 제어하고, 이후, 냉각시 하기 표 1에 기재된 조건을 이용함으로써 용융 합금도금 강재를 제조하였다. 이 때, 레이져충격파는 100P/sec-20W을 적용하였다. 또한, 합금도금욕의 합금조성은 표 2와 같았다. 이와 같이 제조된 용융 합금도금 강재에 대해서 용융합금도금층의 합금조성을 측정한 뒤, 그 결과를 하기 표 2에 나타내었다. 또한, 상기 용융합금도금층의 도금층 표면을 XRD로 분석하여 X선회절강도를 측정한 뒤, 그 결과를 하기 표 2에 나타내었다. 이 때, 상기 X선회절강도를 측정하기 위한 장치로는, D/MAX-2200/PC (RIGAKU㈜)를 이용하였으며, X선회절강도 측정조건은 Cu 타겟(target), 전압: 40kV, 전류: 40mA로 하고, X선회절 측정각도(2θ)는 10~100°까지 측정하였다. 또한, 상기 제조된 용융 합금도금 강재에 대하여 도금작업성, 내식성 및 가공성을 평가한 뒤, 그 결과를 하기 표 2에 나타내었다.
도금작업성은 도금욕 내 드로스의 발생 정도로 평가하였다. 한편, 드로스(dross)란, 액상의 도금욕 내에 존재하는 고체의 미세한 입자들을 의미하며, 드로스가 많을수록 상기 드로스가 강재의 표면에 부착되어 표면결함을 발생하게 된다.
○: 드로스에 의한 표면결함이 없는 경우
×: 드로스에 의한 표면결함이 발생하는 경우
내식성은 용융 합금도금 강재에 대하여 염수분무시험을 수행한 뒤, 적청발생시간을 측정하고, 이로부터 적청발생시간(Hr)/도금부착량(g/㎡)으로 평가하였다. 이때, 염수분무시험조건은 염도: 5%, 온도: 35℃, pH: 6.8, 염수분무량: 2ml/80㎠·1Hr으로 분무하였다.
○: 적청발생시간(Hr)/도금부착량(g/㎡) 값이 40이상
×: 적청발생시간(Hr)/도금부착량(g/㎡) 값이 40미만
가공성은 용융 합금도금 강재에 대하여 곡률반경 0.4㎜로 굴곡가공한 뒤, 바깥면의 표면 균열크기로 평가하였다.

상기 표 1 및 2를 통해 알 수 있듯이, 본 발명이 제안하는 용융합금도금층의 합금조성, X선회절강도 및 제조조건을 만족하는 발명예 1 내지 18의 경우에는 내식성이 우수할 뿐만 아니라, 도금작업성 및 가공성 또한 우수한 수준임을 알 수 있다.
비교예 1은 본 발명의 용융합금도금층의 Al 및 Mg 함량을 만족하지 않는 경우로서, X선회절강도가 본 발명의 범위 보다 낮을 뿐만 아니라, 내식성이 양호하지 않음을 알 수 있다.
비교예 2는 본 발명의 용융합금도금층의 Mg 함량을 만족하지 않는 경우로서, X선회절강도가 본 발명의 범위 보다 높을 뿐만 아니라, 도금작업성이 열위하고, 가공성 또한 양호하지 않음을 알 수 있다.
비교예 3은 본 발명의 용융합금도금층의 Li 함량을 만족하지 않는 경우로서, X선회절강도가 본 발명의 범위 보다 낮을 뿐만 아니라, 내식성이 양호하지 않음을 알 수 있다.
비교예 4는 본 발명의 제조조건 중 제1단계 내지 제3단계 처리 공정을 만족하지 않는 경우로서, X선회절강도가 본 발명의 범위 보다 낮을 뿐만 아니라, 내식성이 양호하지 않음을 알 수 있다.
비교예 5는 본 발명의 제조조건 중 제1단계 및 제2단계 처리 공정을 만족하지 않는 경우로서, X선회절강도가 본 발명의 범위 보다 높을 뿐만 아니라, 가공성이 양호하지 않음을 알 수 있다.
비교예 6은 본 발명의 제조조건 중 제3단계 처리 공정을 만족하지 않는 경우로서, X선회절강도가 본 발명의 범위 보다 낮을 뿐만 아니라, 내식성이 양호하지 않음을 알 수 있다.
도 1은 발명예 7의 X선회절 측정각도(2θ)에 따른 X선회절강도를 나타낸 그래프이며, 도 2는 비교예 1의 X선회절 측정각도(2θ)에 따른 X선회절강도를 나타낸 그래프이다. 도 1 및 2를 통해 알 수 있듯이, 발명예 7의 경우에는 X선회절강도가 본 발명의 조건을 만족하고 있으나, 비교예 1의 경우에는 X선회절강도가 매우 낮은 수준임을 알 수 있다.
Claims (10)
- 소지강판; 및상기 소지강판 상에 형성된 용융합금도금층을 포함하고,상기 용융합금도금층은 중량%로, Al: 8%초과~25%, Mg: 4%초과~12%, 잔부 Zn 및 기타 불가피한 불순물을 포함하며,상기 용융합금도금층의 표면 X선회절강도는 하기 관계식 1을 만족하는 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재.[관계식 1] 2000cps ≤ X선회절강도 ≤ 20000cps(단, 상기 X선회절강도는 M - N이며, 상기 M은 2θ=20.00~21°미만인 구간에서의 가장 높은 피크강도를 의미하고, N은 2θ=20.00°에서의 피크강도를 의미함.)
- 청구항 1에 있어서,상기 용융합금도금층은 Be, Ca, Ce, Li, Sc, Sr, V 및 Y로 이루어지는 그룹으로부터 선택된 1종 이상을 합계량으로 0.0005~0.009%의 범위로 추가로 포함하는 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재.
- 소지강판을 준비하는 단계;상기 소지강판을 중량%로 Al: 8%초과~25%, Mg: 4%초과~12%, 잔부 Zn 및 기타 불가피한 불순물을 포함하는 도금욕에 통과시켜 용융도금하는 단계; 및상기 용융도금된 소지강판을 가스와이핑 및 냉각하여 상기 소지강판 상에 용융합금도금층을 형성시키는 단계;를 포함하고,상기 냉각은 산소/질소의 부피비가 0.18~0.34인 제1가스를 부여하는 제1단계; 질소를 제외한 전체 가스 대비 질소의 부피비가 10~10000인 제2가스를 부여하는 제2단계; 및 상기 용융합금도금층에 레이져 충격파를 인가하는 제3단계;를 포함하는 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재의 제조방법.
- 청구항 3에 있어서,상기 도금욕은 Be, Ca, Ce, Li, Sc, Sr, V 및 Y로 이루어지는 그룹으로부터 선택된 1종 이상을 합계량으로 0.0005~0.009%의 범위로 추가로 포함하는 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재의 제조방법.
- 청구항 3에 있어서,상기 소지강판을 용융도금하는 단계 전, 상기 소지강판을 400~900℃에서 열처리하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재의 제조방법.
- 청구항 5에 있어서,상기 열처리는 부피%로, 5~20%의 수소 및 80~95%의 질소로 구성되는 환원성 분위기에서 행하여지는 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재의 제조방법.
- 청구항 3에 있어서,상기 도금욕의 온도는 400~550℃인 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재의 제조방법.
- 청구항 3에 있어서,상기 제1단계시, 제1가스 유량은 0.5~5㎥/분인 내부식성이 우수한 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재의 제조방법.
- 청구항 3에 있어서,상기 제2단계시, 제2가스 유량은 2~20㎥/분인 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재의 제조방법.
- 청구항 3에 있어서,상기 제3단계시, 레이져 충격파는 20~100P/sec의 펄스 및 20~1000W의 전력을 이용하여 인가되는 내부식성이 우수한 용융 합금도금 강재의 제조방법.
