Abstract

L'invention concerne un fil d'acier qui a une composition de composants comprenant 0,10 à 0,60 % de C, 0,01 à 0,50 % de Si, 0,20 à 1,00 % de Mn, 0,030 % ou moins de P, 0,050 % ou moins de S, 0,85 à 1,50 % de Cr, 0,001 à 0,080 % d'Al, 0,0010 à 0,0200 % de N et le reste constitué de Fe, d'éléments impuretés et d'éléments arbitraires, et qui comprend un axe central du fil d'acier. Dans une section transversale parallèle à l'axe central, 95 % en surface ou plus de la structure métallique est constituée de ferrite et d'un carbure sphérique, les grains de ferrite ont un diamètre moyen de grain de 10,0 à 30,0 µm, les particules sphériques de carbure ayant chacune un diamètre de cercle équivalent supérieur ou égal à 0,1 µm ont un facteur de forme moyen inférieur ou égal à 2,5 et le nombre de particules sphériques de carbure ayant chacune un diamètre de cercle équivalent supérieur ou égal à 0,1 µm est de 1,5×106×[C] à 7,0×106×[C] particules/mm2, [C] représentant la teneur (en % en masse) de C dans le fil d'acier.
