L'élément de base (1) contient le module d'acquisition et d'analyse d'informations (2) et le module de coussin de sécurité gonflable (3) qui sont connectés électriquement. Le module d'acquisition et d'analyse d'informations (2) effectue une détection active en temps réel des distances entre la glissière de sécurité de protection contre les collisions et les véhicules se déplaçant sur une route, et effectue un calcul d'analyse de collision en fonction des vitesses et des directions de déplacement des véhicules. Un seuil de sécurité en matière de collisions est programmé et préréglé à l'avance dans le module d'acquisition et d'analyse d'informations (2). Si un résultat d'analyse du module d'acquisition et d'analyse d'informations (2) est inférieur au seuil de sécurité, c'est-à-dire qu'il va y avoir une collision, alors une directive est immédiatement transmise au module de coussin de sécurité gonflable (3), de telle sorte que le module de coussin de sécurité gonflable (3) déploie un coussin de sécurité gonflable avant que la collision ne se produise. La glissière de sécurité de protection contre les collisions est de structure simple, sûre et hautement efficace, présente un grand potentiel commercial et d'excellents résultats en matière d'amortissement, de même qu'une résistance mécanique suffisante, garantissant ainsi la sécurité sur la route et celle des passagers.
