Abstract

Description
本発明は、例えば温度や圧力等の状態を検出する状態検出装置に関する。
温度や圧力を検出する装置において、二次電池や発電装置により温度センサや圧力センサに電力を供給することが知られている。
センサの置かれる環境は、高温になったり、変形したりすることがある。ここで、センサに電力を供給する二次電池が例えばボタン型電池であると、高温環境に耐えることが困難で、また小型化が難しいことから変形力が加わる環境での使用は困難であった。
本発明はこうした状況を認識してなされたものであり、その目的は、厳しい環境にも好適に対応可能な状態検出装置を提供することにある。

前記フレキシブル基板に、測定対象である物体の内部に入り込んだ熱伝導体と接触する熱伝導パターンが設けられ、
前記熱伝導パターンは、前記フレキシブル基板の前記センサを設けた側の面上において前記センサの近傍に位置し又は延在してもよい。
前記熱伝導パターンは、前記フレキシブル基板の前記センサを設けた側の面上において前記センサの近傍に位置し又は延在してもよい。
前記全固体電池、前記発電機及び前記センサが、前記フレキシブル基板にリフロー半田付けにより搭載されてもよい。
前記センサが、温度センサ、加速度センサ、圧力センサ、及び歪みセンサ、の少なくともいずれかを含んでもよい。
なお、以上の構成要素の任意の組合せ、本発明の表現を方法やシステムなどの間で変換したものもまた、本発明の態様として有効である。
本発明によれば、厳しい環境にも好適に対応可能な状態検出装置を提供することができる。
以下、図面を参照しながら本発明の好適な実施の形態を詳述する。なお、各図面に示される同一または同等の構成要素、部材等には同一の符号を付し、適宜重複した説明は省略する。また、実施の形態は発明を限定するものではなく例示であり、実施の形態に記述されるすべての特徴やその組み合わせは必ずしも発明の本質的なものであるとは限らない。
(実施の形態1)
図1~図5を参照し、本発明の実施の形態1に係る状態検出装置1について説明する。状態検出装置1は、フレキシブル基板10と、発電機としての圧電素子20と、二次電池である全固体電池30と、各種センサを包含する集積回路(IC:Integrated Circuit)40と、を備える。
図1~図5を参照し、本発明の実施の形態1に係る状態検出装置1について説明する。状態検出装置1は、フレキシブル基板10と、発電機としての圧電素子20と、二次電池である全固体電池30と、各種センサを包含する集積回路(IC:Integrated Circuit)40と、を備える。
フレキシブル基板10は、FPC(Flexible Printed Circuits)であり、圧電素子20、全固体電池30、及び集積回路40を相互に電気的に接続する図示しない配線パターンが、フレキシブル基板10に設けられる。圧電素子20、全固体電池30、及び集積回路40は、フレキシブル基板10の上面(一方の面)に、好ましくはリフロー半田付けにより一括して搭載(実装)される。フレキシブル基板10の下面(他方の面)は、状態検出装置1の取付け先の物体50との接触面となる。フレキシブル基板10は、下面に粘着性を有してもよい。圧電素子20、全固体電池30、及び集積回路40は、フレキシブル基板10の上面に、記載順に一列に配置されてもよい。圧電素子20、全固体電池30、及び集積回路40はいずれも、好ましくはフレキシブル基板10の上面から1mm以内の高さである。
圧電素子20は、例えば圧電セラミックスであり、状態検出装置1を取り付けた物体50が振動することで発電する。なお、発電機は、圧電素子20のように振動によって発電するものの他に、温度差によって発電する薄型チップ形状の温度差発電素子(http://www.micropelt.com/thermogenerator.php)等の他のものであってもよい。圧電素子20の発電により得られた電力は、全固体電池30に充電電力として供給され、又は集積回路40に動作電力として供給される。全固体電池30は、電解質に有機電解液を用いずに固体電解質を用いた電池であり、電解液の揮発や漏出に伴うリスクが無い、動作可能な温度範囲が広い、及びボタン型電池との比較でも小型化できる、といった特長がある。なお、全固体電池30は、図示の例ではチップタイプとしているが、フィルムタイプ(薄膜タイプ)としてもよい。
集積回路40は、図5に示す、電源IC41、通信モジュール(通信手段)42、制御部としてのマイコン(マイクロコントローラ)43、及び各種センサ44、を含む。集積回路40は、図1~図4では単一のチップ部品(ICチップ)として示しているが、複数のチップ部品の組合せであってもよい。例えば、電源IC41を、通信モジュール42、マイコン43、及び各種センサ44とは別のチップ部品としてもよいし、集積回路40を構成する図5の各ブロックを互いに別のチップ部品としてもよいし、各種センサ44をセンサの種類ごとに別々のチップ部品としてもよい。
電源IC41は、圧電素子20及び全固体電池30と共に状態検出装置1の電源15を構成する。電源IC41は、圧電素子20から供給された電力を、全固体電池30の充電電力に変換して全固体電池30に供給する。全固体電池30は、通信モジュール42、マイコン43、及び各種センサ44に、動作電力を供給する。通信モジュール42は、外部空間にある受信装置60の通信モジュール61と通信するものであって、各種センサ44による検出結果を通信モジュール61に送信する。マイコン43は、通信モジュール42を制御すると共に、各種センサ44からの検出信号を受信し、必要な演算(信号処理等)を行う。各種センサ44は、温度センサ、加速度センサ、圧力センサ、及び歪みセンサ、の少なくともいずれかを含む。受信装置60は、被測定空間の外部にあり、通信モジュール61及び制御部としてのマイコン(マイクロコントローラ)62を含む。
物体50は、ここではゴム等の可撓性(柔軟性)を有するものである。物体50は、移動体であってもよい。移動体は、回転体を含む概念である。物体50が移動体である場合の移動方向を図2に矢印で示す。物体50は、自身が例えば温度や歪みについての被測定物(測定対象物)であってもよいし、例えば温度や圧力の測定対象となる被測定空間(測定対象空間)の内面の少なくとも一部を構成してもよいし、被測定物であって且つ被測定空間の内面の少なくとも一部を構成してもよい。状態検出装置1の配置される空間は、物体50により、又は物体50及び不図示の他の物体により、外部空間と仕切られ(隔てられ)、外部空間との間で有線での通信や電力送受信ができない又は困難な空間であってもよい。
本実施の形態によれば、下記の効果を奏することができる。
(1) 全固体電池30は、ボタン型電池と異なり、圧電素子20及び集積回路40と同等のサイズまで小型化が可能なため、状態検出装置1の取付け先の物体50が例えば図4に示すように大きく変形してフレキシブル基板10が同様に変形しても耐えられる(フレキシブル基板10との接続が切れない)。そのため、状態検出装置1は、従来は配置することが困難であった変形力が加わる環境にも対応可能である。また、全固体電池30は、電解質に有機電解液を用いた電池と異なり、高温に強く、電解液の揮発や漏出に伴うリスクも無いため、状態検出装置1は、従来は配置することが難しかった高温環境にも対応可能である。このように、状態検出装置1は、厳しい環境にも好適に対応できるため、様々な用途(アプリケーション)に利用することができる。
(2) 全固体電池30は、高温に強いため、圧電素子20及び集積回路40と共にフレキシブル基板10に対してリフロー半田付けにより一括して装着(接続)でき、低コストで量産性に優れる。
(実施の形態2)
図6は、本発明の実施の形態2に係る状態検出装置2及びそれを装着した物体50の拡大断面図である。状態検出装置2は、実施の形態1に示したものと比較して、フレキシブル基板10に熱伝導パターン11が設けられる点で相違し、その他の点で一致する。熱伝導パターン11は、フレキシブル基板10の下面(物体50側の面)の少なくとも一部に設けられた第1部分11aと、第1部分11aから延びてフレキシブル基板10を貫通する第2部分11bと、フレキシブル基板10の上面に設けられ、第2部分11bに接続されると共に集積回路40の近傍(温度センサの近傍)に至る第3部分11cと、を含む。本実施の形態によれば、実施の形態1の効果に加え、物体50の熱が熱伝導パターン11の第1部分11a、第2部分11b、第3部分11cに順に伝達されて集積回路40に含まれる温度センサの近傍まで移動するため、物体50の温度をより正確に測定することができる。
図6は、本発明の実施の形態2に係る状態検出装置2及びそれを装着した物体50の拡大断面図である。状態検出装置2は、実施の形態1に示したものと比較して、フレキシブル基板10に熱伝導パターン11が設けられる点で相違し、その他の点で一致する。熱伝導パターン11は、フレキシブル基板10の下面(物体50側の面)の少なくとも一部に設けられた第1部分11aと、第1部分11aから延びてフレキシブル基板10を貫通する第2部分11bと、フレキシブル基板10の上面に設けられ、第2部分11bに接続されると共に集積回路40の近傍(温度センサの近傍)に至る第3部分11cと、を含む。本実施の形態によれば、実施の形態1の効果に加え、物体50の熱が熱伝導パターン11の第1部分11a、第2部分11b、第3部分11cに順に伝達されて集積回路40に含まれる温度センサの近傍まで移動するため、物体50の温度をより正確に測定することができる。
(実施の形態3)
図7は、本発明の実施の形態3に係る状態検出装置3及びそれを装着した物体50の拡大断面図である。状態検出装置3は、実施の形態1に示したものと比較して、フレキシブル基板10に、物体50の内部に入り込んだ(挿入された)熱伝導体51と接触する熱伝導パターン12が設けられる点で相違し、その他の点で一致する。熱伝導体51は、熱伝導率の高い例えば銅等の金属からなる部品である。熱伝導体51は、好ましくは集積回路40の近傍(温度センサの近傍)においてフレキシブル基板10を貫通し、物体50の内部に入り込む。
図7は、本発明の実施の形態3に係る状態検出装置3及びそれを装着した物体50の拡大断面図である。状態検出装置3は、実施の形態1に示したものと比較して、フレキシブル基板10に、物体50の内部に入り込んだ(挿入された)熱伝導体51と接触する熱伝導パターン12が設けられる点で相違し、その他の点で一致する。熱伝導体51は、熱伝導率の高い例えば銅等の金属からなる部品である。熱伝導体51は、好ましくは集積回路40の近傍(温度センサの近傍)においてフレキシブル基板10を貫通し、物体50の内部に入り込む。
熱伝導パターン12は、フレキシブル基板10の上面(反物体側の面)に設けられて集積回路40の近傍(温度センサの近傍)に位置し又は延在し、ネジ形状の熱伝導体51の頭部とフレキシブル基板10の上面との間に挟まれる。熱伝導体51は、ネジであって物体50に埋め込まれた(例えば一体成型された)図示しないナットに螺着され、物体50に対するフレキシブル基板10の取付に寄与してもよい。本実施の形態によれば、実施の形態1の効果に加え、物体50の熱が熱伝導体51及び熱伝導パターン12に順に伝達されて集積回路40に含まれる温度センサの近傍まで移動するため、物体50の温度をより正確に測定することができる。
(実施の形態4)
図8は、本発明の実施の形態4に係る状態検出装置4及びそれを装着した物体50の拡大断面図である。状態検出装置4は、実施の形態1に示したものと比較して、フレキシブル基板10に、物体50の内部に例えば一体成型により埋め込まれた(埋設された)熱伝導体52と接触する熱伝導パターン13が設けられる点で相違し、その他の点で一致する。熱伝導体52は、熱伝導率の高い例えば銅等の金属からなる部品である。熱伝導体52は、好ましくは集積回路40の近傍(温度センサの近傍)において、物体50のフレキシブル基板10側の面に部分的に露出する。
図8は、本発明の実施の形態4に係る状態検出装置4及びそれを装着した物体50の拡大断面図である。状態検出装置4は、実施の形態1に示したものと比較して、フレキシブル基板10に、物体50の内部に例えば一体成型により埋め込まれた(埋設された)熱伝導体52と接触する熱伝導パターン13が設けられる点で相違し、その他の点で一致する。熱伝導体52は、熱伝導率の高い例えば銅等の金属からなる部品である。熱伝導体52は、好ましくは集積回路40の近傍(温度センサの近傍)において、物体50のフレキシブル基板10側の面に部分的に露出する。
熱伝導パターン13は、フレキシブル基板10の下面(物体50側の面)の少なくとも一部に設けられて熱伝導体52に接触する第1部分13aと、第1部分13aから延びてフレキシブル基板10を貫通する第2部分13bと、フレキシブル基板10の上面に設けられ、第2部分13bに接続されると共に集積回路40の近傍(温度センサの近傍)に至る第3部分13cと、を含む。本実施の形態によれば、実施の形態1の効果に加え、物体50の熱が熱伝導体52、熱伝導パターン13の第1部分13a、第2部分13b、第3部分13cに順に伝達されて集積回路40に含まれる温度センサの近傍まで移動するため、物体50の温度をより正確に測定することができる。
以上、実施の形態を例に本発明を説明したが、実施の形態の各構成要素や各処理プロセスには請求項に記載の範囲で種々の変形が可能であることは当業者に理解されるところである。

Claims (8)
- 充電可能な全固体電池と、
前記全固体電池に充電電力を供給する発電機と、
前記全固体電池からの供給電力で動作するセンサと、
前記全固体電池、前記発電機及び前記センサを設けたフレキシブル基板と、を備える、状態検出装置。 - 被測定物である又は被測定空間の内面の少なくとも一部を構成する、可撓性を有する物体に、前記フレキシブル基板が取り付けられる、請求項1に記載の状態検出装置。
- 前記フレキシブル基板が移動体に取り付けられる、請求項2に記載の状態検出装置。
- 前記フレキシブル基板の、測定対象である物体側の面の少なくとも一部に、熱伝導パターンが設けられている、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の状態検出装置。
- 前記熱伝導パターンは、前記フレキシブル基板の反物体側の面に延出し、反物体側の面に設けられた前記センサの近傍に至る、請求項4に記載の状態検出装置。
- 前記フレキシブル基板に、測定対象である物体の内部に入り込んだ熱伝導体と接触する熱伝導パターンが設けられ、
前記熱伝導パターンは、前記フレキシブル基板の前記センサを設けた側の面上において前記センサの近傍に位置し又は延在する、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の状態検出装置。 - 前記全固体電池、前記発電機及び前記センサが、前記フレキシブル基板にリフロー半田付けにより搭載されている、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の状態検出装置。
- 前記センサが、温度センサ、加速度センサ、圧力センサ、及び歪みセンサ、の少なくともいずれかを含む、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の状態検出装置。
