Definitions
- the present invention relates to a marking device for a drinking vessel with an electronic circuit, wherein the electronic circuit comprises a transmitter circuit for transmitting a signal, a processing circuit for processing information and a permanent memory, wherein the processing circuit is connected to the transmitter circuit such that an information processed by the processing circuit can be transmitted as a signal from the transmitter circuit, and wherein the processing circuit is connected to the permanent memory such that information from the permanent memory is readable and processable in the processing circuit.
- marking devices with an electronic circuit for example an RFID chip
- marking devices which comprise an electronic circuit, wherein the electronic circuit is embedded in the housing.
- the marking devices known from DE 20 2005 013 470 U1 are all integrated in a recess of a dish part in this by casting.
- such potting turns out to be disadvantageous especially for the production process. The casting required additional steps in the production of the tableware.
- the invention proposes to design the marking device described above such that in addition to the electronic circuit has a fastening element for fixing the electronic circuit to the drinking vessel, wherein the electronic circuit is connected to the fastening element and wherein the fastening element has a concave receiving portion in which a portion of the drinking vessel is positively accommodated.
- a positive connection in the sense of the present application is understood to be a positive connection between the fastening element of the marking device and a drinking vessel, which prevents the marking device from being removed from the drinking vessel in one spatial direction, without one passing through the fastening element predetermined threshold of force that must be expended to separate the marking device and the drinking vessel, is exceeded.
- This threshold of force necessary to remove the marking device from the drinking vessel is chosen in one embodiment to be higher than the forces encountered during normal use of the drinking vessel.

If the dimension, for example the diameter, of the section of the drinking vessel is greater than the opening of the receiving section, then the section of the drinking vessel bends the receiving section of the fastening element and after the complete insertion of the section of the drinking vessel the receiving section surrounds the section of the drinking vessel that the receiving portion is held positively at the portion of the drinking vessel. It can therefore be said that in one embodiment of the invention, the receiving portion is elastically deformable such that the fastener is clipped onto the portion of the drinking vessel.
- the fastening element can be clipped onto the portion of the drinking vessel, but additionally has a closure element which can be connected to the receiving section and that of the receiving section not covered angle range closes.
- the fastening element has a closure element that can be connected to the receiving section, wherein the receiving section and the closure element are designed such that they form a closed, over a angular range of 360 ° extending concave wall portion in the connected state. This wall section then surrounds the section of the drinking vessel in the manner of a ring.

- the marking device 301 is a marking device that can be fastened by the configuration of the attachment element on the stem 304 of a stem glass 305.
- the portion of the stem 304 is receivable in a receiving space 307 enclosed by a concave wall portion 306.
- the wall portion 306 in this embodiment has a polygonal shape that is complementary to the polygonal cross-sectional shape of the stem 304. Despite this polygonal shape, the wall portion 306 forms part of a concavely curved receiving portion 302 in the sense of the present invention.
- FIG. 25 shows a further alternative embodiment of a combination of a beer tulip 505 and a marking device 501, as has been described in detail above with regard to FIGS. 20 and 21.
- the embodiments of FIGS. 22 to 24 on the one hand and FIG. 25 on the other hand differ in their axial position of the marking device 301, 501 on the glass 305, 505 and with respect to the symmetry axis of the glass 305, 505.
- FIG. 26 shows a schematic view of a system comprising a plurality of glasses 401, each of which has a marking device 402 connected thereto.
- a reader 403, in the illustrated embodiment of the system is located in a counter of a hospitality business and allows information to be interrogated about a glass 401 when that glass is in a position near the reader 403, ie on the counter.
- the reader 403 in the embodiment shown is connected to a computer 404 and this in turn via a data connection 405 to a database 406.
- Possible applications include, for example, the amount of a particular drink sold on a schaff day.
