Abstract
Description
(実施例1-1)
硫黄(S)を含む正極活物質とシリコン(Si)を含む負極活物質とを用いたリチウムイオン二次電池を製造した。
(正極)
通常のリチウムイオン二次電池に使用されるアルミニウム箔(厚さ20μm)に、電解エッチングによる穿孔加工を施し、貫通孔の密度が1×109個/m2で平均内径が10μmの正極集電体を得た。開孔率は箔の下をライトで照らし、マイクロスコープで透過光と非透過部分を撮影して2値化し、算出した。開孔率は22.5%だった。
(負極)
通常のリチウムイオン二次電池に使用される銅箔(厚さ15μm)に、パターンを印刷した後にエッチングにて貫通孔を形成し、貫通孔の密度が1×108個/m2で平均内径が50μmの正極集電体を得た。10cm×10cmの正方形片の実測した重量は1.080gであり、理論重量(1.347g)の19.8%(開孔率)だった。
(電池の組立)
セパレータはポリプロピレン樹脂からなる矩形状シート、ラミネートフィルムは主にナイロンとアルミニウムとポリプロピレン樹脂であり、それぞれ通常のリチウムイオン二次電池に使用されるものである。正極及び負極をセパレータを介して重ねたものを図2に示すように正極は2層、負極は3層に積層して極板群を構成した。20cm×11cmのラミネートフィルムの長辺を半分に折り曲げ、2辺をシールして袋状にした後、極板群を挿入して非水電解液を注入した。非水電解液は炭酸エチレンと、炭酸ジメチルと、炭酸メチルエチルとからなる通常のリチウムイオン二次電池に使用されるものである。その後4辺を気密にシールした。
(実施例1-2~7)
負極集電体の貫通孔の平均内径及び個数をそれぞれ2μmと1×1011個/m2、10μmと1×109個/m2、50μmと1×108個/m2、300μmと1×106個/m2、500μmと5×108個/m5、700μmと2.5×106個/m2とした以外は実施例1と同一の条件で実施例1-2~7のリチウムイオン二次電池を得た。
(比較例1-1)
負極集電体を貫通孔の無いものとした以外は実施例1-1と同一の条件で比較例1-1のリチウムイオン二次電池を得た。
(実施例2-1)
硫黄(S)を含む正極活物質とシリコン(Si)を含む負極活物質とを用いたリチウムイオン二次電池を製造した。実施例2-1は、正極集電体として貫通孔の平均内径が50μm、孔の個数が1×108個/m2のアルミニウム箔を用い、負極集電体は貫通孔の平均内径が10μm、孔の個数が1×109個/m2の銅箔を用いたほかは、実施例1-1と同一の条件でリチウムイオン二次電池を作成した。
(実施例2-2~6)
正極集電体の貫通孔の平均内径及び個数をそれぞれ10μmと1×109個/m2、50μmと1×108個/m2、300μmと1×106個/m2、500μmと5×108個/m5、700μmと2.5×106個/m2とした以外は実施例1と同一の条件で実施例2-2~6のリチウムイオン二次電池を得た。なお実施例2-2は実施例1-3と同一である。
(比較例2-1)
正極集電体を貫通孔の無いものとした以外は実施例2―1と同一の条件で比較例2-1のリチウムイオン二次電池を得た。
(実施例3、4)
硫黄(S)を含む正極活物質とスズ(Sn)を含む負極活物質とを用いたリチウムイオン二次電池を製造した。
329-94293、純度99.7%)6.8g、導電助剤としてアセチレンブラック(電気化学工業、品番HS-100)0.5g、及びバインダとしてPVDF(クレハ、品番L#1120)5.8gを混合した混合ペースト原料を負極集電体の両面に塗布し加熱して負極を作成した。加熱後の負極活物質混合物は4.0mg/cm2であり、これを7cm×7.5cmとなるように加工して不必要な部分を削り落とした。混合した混合ペースト原料を負極集電体に結着して負極を作成した。

Claims (7)
- 正極が正極集電体と少なくとも硫黄(S)を含む硫黄系正極活物質とを有し、
負極が負極集電体と少なくともシリコン(Si)を含むシリコン系負極活物質又はスズ(Sn)を含むスズ系負極活物質とを有し、
前記正極集電体が複数の貫通孔を有するアルミニウム箔からなり、
前記負極集電体が複数の貫通孔を有する銅箔からなり、
前記正極及び前記負極がセパレータを介して重ねられて構成されているリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 前記アルミニウム箔が、箔表面から裏面に至る貫通孔を複数有するアルミニウム貫通箔であり、
前記アルミニウム貫通箔は、箔厚みが50μm以下であり、
前記貫通孔の平均内径が2~500μmであり、
開孔率が3~50%であり、
前記銅箔は、箔厚みが50μm以下であり、
前記貫通孔の平均内径が30~500μmであり、
開孔率が3~50%である、請求項1に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 前記アルミニウム貫通箔の前記開孔率が5~30%である請求項2に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記銅箔の前記貫通孔の前記平均内径は、50~300μmである請求項2又は3に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記アルミニウム貫通箔及び前記銅箔それぞれの前記貫通孔の密度は1×104個/m2以上である請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 正極が正極集電体と少なくとも硫黄(S)を含む硫黄系正極活物質とを有し、負極が負極集電体と少なくともシリコン(Si)を含むシリコン系負極活物質又はスズ(Sn)を含むスズ系負極活物質を有し、前記正極集電体が複数の貫通孔を有するアルミニウム箔からなり、前記負極集電体が複数の貫通孔を有する銅箔からなり、前記正極及び前記負極がセパレータを介して重ねられて構成された極板群に隣接して、リチウム金属シートを配置し、 前記リチウム金属シートを負極集電体と電気的に接続してリチウムイオン化し、リチウムイオンをシリコン系負極活物質又はスズ系負極活物質にドーピングすることを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池の製造方法。
