Definitions
- the molar absorbance of the dye may be reduced, and the amount of the polymer dye used must be increased in order to express the desired degree of coloring in the ophthalmic lens.
- the physical properties of the ophthalmic lens may be adversely affected.
- conventional polymer dyes are difficult to penetrate into the lens polymer due to the size of the molecule. For example, an ink composition is prepared, and this ink composition is ink-jet printed. Even if it adheres to the surface of the ophthalmic lens by such means, there is a problem that it may not penetrate effectively into the lens.
- the ophthalmic lens according to the present invention contains a compound represented by the following general formula (I) as a colorant.
- a compound represented by the following general formula (I) as a colorant.
- the ophthalmic lens includes not only an ophthalmic lens as a final product, but also a post-polymerization state that has not been subjected to hydration or surface treatment. Further, an ophthalmic lens that has not been subjected to hydration treatment or surface treatment after polymerization is particularly expressed as an ophthalmic lens precursor.
- a nitro group in a predetermined nitro group-containing compound is reduced according to a conventionally known method, and the resulting reduced product is reacted with an acid anhydride, acid chloride or monoisocyanate to prepare a coupler. Synthesize.
- the hydrophilizing agent is a component for imparting hydrophilicity to the ophthalmic lens.
- an ophthalmic lens obtained by copolymerizing a polymerizable composition containing the monomer component described above is desired.
- the water content is achieved, the hydrophilicity or water wettability of the surface is insufficient, the compatibility between the polymerizable monomers is insufficient, the elasticity of the ophthalmic lens is too large, the polymerization container material or When the affinity with the molding container material is too large, it is desirable to use it appropriately.
- hydrophilizing agent conventionally used in ophthalmic lenses can be used as such a hydrophilizing agent.
- mono (meth) acrylates of polyhydric alcohols such as ethylene glycol, propylene glycol and 1,6-hexanediol
- N- (meth) acryloylmorpholine such as ethylene glycol, propylene glycol and 1,6-hexanediol
- N- (meth) acryloylmorpholine such as ethylene glycol, propylene glycol and 1,6-hexanediol
- N- (meth) acryloylmorpholine such as N- (meth) acryloylpiperidine
- N-vinylpiperidone N Examples include -vinyl-N-methylacetamide; N-vinyl-N-ethylacetamide; N-vinyl-N-methylformamide; N-methyl- ⁇ -methylene-2-pyrrolidone and the like.
- the polymerizable composition may be heated simultaneously with the light irradiation, whereby the polymerization reaction is promoted, and it is possible to easily form a copolymer.
- the template or polymerization vessel used for photopolymerization is not particularly limited as long as it is a material that can transmit light necessary for polymerization (curing) of the polymerizable composition, but polypropylene, polystyrene, nylon, polyester What consists of general purpose resin, such as these, is preferable.
- the ink composition for a hydrous contact lens according to the present invention is attached to the surface of a precursor (lens precursor) of a hydrous contact lens in a dry state (non-swelled state).
- a method of attaching the ink composition to the surface of the lens precursor a conventionally known method such as a method of applying a liquid ink composition to the surface of the lens precursor can be used.
- examples of the method for applying the ink composition to the surface of the lens precursor include a pad printing method, a screen printing method, and a method using an ink jet printing apparatus.
- the ink composition is formed using a piezo ink jet printing apparatus so as to form a predetermined pattern composed of dots on the outer surface side surface of the lens precursor.
- the lens precursor was heated at about 90 ° C. for 15 seconds to allow the ink composition to penetrate the lens precursor.
- the lens precursor was immersed in physiological saline to obtain 10 types of hydrous contact lenses having a predetermined pattern printed on the outer surface (Examples 9 to 16, Comparative Example 3, Comparative Example 4). The appearance of each of the obtained lenses was visually observed, and the results are also shown in Table 2 below.
- Each lens was evaluated for autoclave resistance and oil resistance, and the evaluation results are also shown in Table 2 below.
